Disney's #Wish is coming to @DisneyPlus on April 3.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ original musical-comedy “Wish” will stream on Disney+ beginning April 3, welcoming subscribers to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force-a little ball of boundless energy called Star.

Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe-the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico-to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen. Featuring the voices of Academy Award®-winning actor Ariana DeBose as Asha, Chris Pine as Magnifico, and Alan Tudyk as Asha’s favorite goat, Valentino, the film is helmed by Oscar®-winning director Chris Buck (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (“Raya and the Last Dragon”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Frozen,” “Frozen 2”) and Juan Pablo Reyes Lancaster Jones (“Encanto”). It took y’all so long to put this movie on Disney+. Why?
Because physical media exists.
One word: Physical
Better late than never 😅
Hence why I still rely mainly on physical media because it's more reliable.
I've been thinking that they no longer want people to believe that their new movie releases will be on Disney+ a month after their theatrical debut.
Since the movie flopped at the box office, I hope it will do better on Disney+!

So excited!! The return of 2D and magic! ❤️ They worked so hard on it! It's incredible! It has its own style (like the firsts Disney) which is so beautiful, the 2D/3D mix, the format which is the same as Sleeping Beauty, and watercolor painting style, which can make think of Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs, I love! 😍 The characters are all so cool, Asha and her friends (representing the 7 dwarves), I love Star because they gave him Mickey's personality and facial expressions! 😍 The songs are so good, and the music is super powerful, certain musical notes remind me of the first Disney, it's so cool! The story is so beautiful, and super worked, with all the additional references, making wishes meant so much to Walt Disney! References to other disney are cool and the direct ones to Walt Disney are moving, like the Wishing Tree or Asha who draws and scroll through the pages! Wish is perfect! For the 100th anniversary it is perfect! ❤️🎉 So many emotions! He has such positive energy, it feels good! So moving, catchy and funny! The mix of old and new is incredible! An original story full of magic and the return of 2D! It's a true love letter to Disney movies but also to the history of Disney and Disney fans! ❤️ When they say in behind the scenes "a movie that's giving this love letter to walt" is so true! 😭 This is such a beautiful love letter! 🥰 Thank you Disneyanimation this is what we want to see and feel! Pure magic! It's Disney like this that we want to see! ❤️

I'm gonna ask The Walt Disney Company to premiere and stream one animated movie for Summer 2024 on Disney+ in June 9th, 2024; Walt Disney's 8th classic: "Make Mine Music" (1946).
I never went to see it in theaters because of negative reviews, so I’m excited to get a chance to at least try it.

Any positive reviews of this movie, is taken down, you would think Disney would be taking down any negative review of Wish.
It's not the best Disney movie ever but it doesn't have to be to still be pretty good. I liked it better than Strange World. And by god, it's still a thousand times better than all of the live action remakes.

@@BahuschBahuschand I prefer both of those films over their worst films from the mid 2000's, Home on the Range and Chicken Little, and I do have a soft spot for at least 4 of the live-action remakes, mainly Cinderella, Jungle Book, Aladdin, and Little Mermaid

I was waiting for it for long to come out on Disney+ from the time it was released. It finally came. 🤩 I am having exams now,and would watch it the very day my exams would be over. I have not watched the full movie yet,and would watch it that day. But from the clips I got from the movie here and there,I LOVED it VERY MUCH! Thank you Disney for making such wonderful movies for us to watch. I don't know why some is disliking this movie,but I LOVE it very much.
I personally thought Wish was a very beautiful movie. It wasn’t my personal favorite movie from Walt Disney Animation Studios in recent years, and I liked other recent ones such as Frozen II, Raya and the Last Dragon, and Encanto better, but I still enjoyed it a lot and I think it is definitely worth watching.
Now that it’s coming to Disney Plus, hopefully more people will watch it. Although it wasn’t my personal favorite film from Walt Disney Animation Studios in recent years, it was still very good in my opinion, and definitely very overlooked and underrated too.
I think Wish has great music, beautiful visuals, a like-able protagonist, a good plot overall, and, for the first time in forever (forgive my Frozen pun, lol) a great major villain.
It’s not a perfect film by any means, and like I said, I liked other recent films from Walt Disney Animation Studios better. But Wish is still very good in my opinion, and definitely worth watching.
Without spoiling any details, I will hint that although it is largely about the origin of the iconic wishing star, it is also the origin story of a couple other significant Disney icons as well.
Now go watch it, people (on April 3)!
Kinda sucks that media discourse online nowadays is that you have to mention every time how this movie is not the best thing ever just to say you enjoyed it. It's totally fine to have whatever opinion on the movie or the industry as a whole. I know I do. But it should be totally fine to just say you liked the movie.
@@BahuschBahusch I'll go and say it, I like this movie, I'm not gonna dwell on the flaws (everyone else does), and talk about how the people who made this actually tried and made a fun film, it's got a good lead in Asha, Star is just adorable, Alan Tudyik is funny as Valentino, and Chris Pine needs to play more villains if his King Magnifico performance is anything to go by, the story is simple yet competent, the songs are catchy to the point that if it plays while I hit shuffle, I'll listen to it and enjoy it, the visuals do a solid job of blending the classic style of Walt's days with the modern CG enhancements (not to mention it's the 3rd animated Disney film to use a specific wide-screen perspective since Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp), and like with The Marvels, I had fun watching the film, also the idea of putting effort to make your wish come true isn't that far fetched with not only Disney movies, but other works that involve wish granting (see Dragon Ball for a great example of how our heroes have to deal with villains who want to use the titular wish granting orbs for more malevolent reasons while our heroes usually have less selfish reasons for summoning Shenron, unless you're Bulma in which case your wish is to make yourself look five years younger, or Freeza after being fully resurrected wants to be taller by 5 cm)
