Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta Timelape Video, October 2014

Two days at the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in October, 2014. I used a Nikon D4s and a Nikon D800e to shoot the timelapse videos and still photographs. Thanks to my brother Dave Robinson (daverobinsonmusic.com) for the beautiful rendition of Up, Up and Away for the background music.

Well Phooey, no comments yet?? I think this time lapse is worth watching so you can see the 'slow motion kaleidoscope' of balloons going different directions in the wind layers. The starting point is 5000' above MSL....the balloons often get to 10,000msl or 5000'agl. I did enjoy watching to see some 'old friends' in the air again....I flew that event ten years in a row, ending in 2001. Here's two suggestions on 'how to watch'. Best is lying in the grass on the launch field. The other thing to do is WAIT on the field for the crews to get back from the flight.....the after party is a hoot. Thanks to the photographer....nice work!
