Good combination of suspension setup, tyre size, power to weight ratio, silent cabin, fuel efficiency. Very good performance for a small hatch in the 80-120kmph band on the highway. Forget what it “looks like” and concentrate on what it “feels like” Ironic, one of the best hatchbacks from MSL has few takers.
This is actually a pure gem of a product which is highly underrated. The design is actually pure Japanese based hence most people wont find it good. This is the next gen of the Ritz which was again an underrated car.

The irony with Maruti Suzuki has always been that their good products don't sell well in India, be it the Ignis, the old Baleno sedan, the SX4 or the S-Cross. That's been the tragedy with Maruti Suzuki in India.

Hi Ashish thanks for ur value additions...! I am a IGNIS ZETA diesel owner driving this car since more than 5 years its a excellent car with gr8 fuel efficiency and performance. It gives me 23-24kmpl in city driving and 26kmpl on highways. Gr8 car to drive till 100 speed and not more than that. The rear passanger comfort is less which is the downside of this car. Front two seats comfort is excellent. The one more flaws is its steering wheel it does not return back while taking a turn u have to manually do it and Suzuki has to work on it. The space managment and interiors of the car are the best thing done by Suzuki. The car with gr8 specifications at such pricing makes it more value for money than any other car... The high ground clearance 180mm 15 inch tyre size... Best approach and departure angles, Best power to weight ratio, wheelarch cladding makes it a real mini SUV. The only downside of the car what I feels is its built quality (But better compare to other maruti cars except Brezza, Scross). The ppl who use cars in city limits more and occasionally on highways can think to purchase this car... Its still value for money car...!
We have one in our family since 2018..its a good option in the city, it has ample ground clearance..only downside we felt is that the rear seats are pretty bouncy while driving in the long run due to its stiff suspension..Other than this its a good car
Very true..but u know bs6 models suspension are little softer than before..I know bcoz I have exchanged ignis2018 with ignis. 2022 model..so it's now much better than before..but still has scope of even more plush ride in comparison to Tata cars etc.

I bought Ignis Delta Automatic on Road price Delhi for 7.10 L with 5yr warranty included on December 2023. Car was manufactured in mid nov. Price is similar to zeta manual Details -Maruti december discount on amt of 35k -4k corporate discount -48k dealer discount, -saved 12k on quoted insurance (Quoted 38k, bought 26k insurance) -saved 3k on unnecessary additions of ccp platinum on extended warranty (instead bought ccp gold for 1k and 11k on 5yr extended warranty) -no basic accessories so asked them to remove 10k from bill. Pros 1) Mileage with AC..Im getting mileage of 17+ in city with an automatic car! (bumber to bumper lowest was 16), highway highest was 21..but i drive very calmly. I Do not rev the rpm more than 2k..i try keep the rpm around 1.5k. Overall very happy with the car so far. 2) Very peppy engine inspite of being automatic. 3) No jerks when gears shift. Steering feedback good. 4) Build quality felt better than spresso, alto , swift, even baleno, wagonr. 5) Very good turning radius. Even in the smallest roads 6) After market Mats, rain visor, cladding, mud flap all available very cheap at every car accessories shop for 1/5th the price , compared to nexa 7) Good visibility while driving. Car felt stable till 90kmph. Haven't driven faster than that. No body roll toll 90kmph 8) ac heater works fine and defogger in 2 to 3 min. Cons 1) The headlight was not good. Changed headlight to philips xtreme after a few weeks 2) Rear seat not comfortable. 3) Bluetooth is a bit problematic. Blue tooth disconnects afyer turning engine off in traffic. 4) Speaker is not good. Upgraded speakers to hertz component 5) Visibility while reversing is not very good. The back view is restricted. 6) Gfx mats not available for ignis, so got a cheaper qpro max mat which us similar to gfx but lower quality. Bought from car accessories shop. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. Ill be happy to guide.

@@sivakondiparthy2074 3 people can fit but they won't be comfortable if they are all average build. Max is 2 adults and 1 kid in back seat for comfortable ride. Rear seat is not comfortable as the suspension is stiff. So rear seats feels bumpy. Ignis is not for senior citizens sitting in the rear seat, especially for long journey. Front seats are very comfortable and does not feel very bumpy as compared to the rear. For long journey, comfort for front and passenger driver is fine. U can drive continuously for 4-5 hrs without a break But the way you are describing.. senior citizen + long journey. Tiago NRG or tata punch will be more comfortable for rear seat passengers. Also front seat is very comfortable in Tiago. People have driven for 8-9hrs at a stretch without feeling tired. So comfort wise, Tiago is much better. If budget is there, see Tata punch as well. Hyundai i10/20 is also very good in terms of comfort. So check out these cars as well to compare. Ofcourse safely wise tata punch and Tiago are better than ignis. I didn't go for these cars as cost of ownership is higher (lower mileage+ high service cost) and I need for city drive mainly with less driving..and an occasional trip. If I were to do long journey (mainly highway driving) with comfort, i would choose tata punch/tata Tiago NRG or breeza/fronx from Maruti.

Tiago, punch took atleast 20km each from different showrooms. This is the best way to understand the pricing and bargain. More u go to different dealerships, more chance of using one person quote against another. Understanding which car is best suited for you and ur family in the long term. But why do so much effort..? Cz the journey of finding the car is more exciting than after actually buying the car

Should I buy Wagon R 1.0 Vxi CNG and spend Rs.60k for OEM retrofitment of Alloy, Stereo, Rear Wiper etc or Buy Ignis Zeta and spend Rs.60k for CNG fitment. Both cars will fall in around same price bracket. As I know both cars are also pending for Next Gen Facelift, What should be a wiser choice between these two or should consider another one? No, nios is best, take a test drive both. Ignis is only youtube star car. Steering return issue, poor plastic quality, suspenstion issue, rear side space issue. A small car only. Only milage is better than nios. But nios is like a premium car, smooth driving, more spacious,premium design. Quality plastic. Value for money.

Biggest negative is poor suspension. I had to sell it hardly after using it after 2 years. Will not recommend for those who have old parents or back issues or pregnant women.
Yup its pretty hard but that what makes it fun to ride, if the suspension was soft then it would feel like a Wagnor to drive due to its tall boy design

This is one of the worst cars from Suzuki. My power windows are gone, my AMARON battery died just after two years. Now I replaced the 34 AH battery with a new one paying some 3500 hundred. My cousins ignis battery died within 1and a half years. He purchased this car after my recommendation. But we both are regretting the purchase now.

This is excellent and my favourite car, i driven this car 130000 just in 5 years.
I think if tyre size or width increased, then mileage will decrease , so it is better to lesser width tyres than wider "chauri" tyres!!!
Own this car and no complains at all. In city it gives mileage 16.5 and highway 22.
