Elmer FEM Webinar - Parallel Computing with Elmer

In this presentation we discuss parallel computing with Elmer. We go through various scalabily concepts: algorithmic, weak and strong. The linear solvers that may be used with Elmer are explained with some shallow reference to preconditioning techniques. The differences between serial and parallel runs are shown. Some results on the actual computations on supercomputers are shown. The powerpoint presentation is intercepted twise to give room for an actual parallel demo. Throughout the presentation emphasis is on MPI but other techniques are mentioned shortly at the end.
