Thought it was just me! (b1976) but I loved this programme with the colourful titles and flute/harpsichord music (interestingly my favourite instruments) early influences who knew? Fancied him too of course which helped!
I thought I had dreamt this show up. I've been bringing it up in conversations for nearly 30 years. Nobody knew what I was on about. Thank you so much for sharing this!!!!
I remember watching this before he took over the lead role in Doctor Who. IMDB incorrectly only lists Mark Wynter as host for this series. Mark presented it later when Peter had left the show presumably to film Doctor Who.
The background was blacked out so we couldn't see the puppeteers who would have been wearing dark leotards, gloves etc ... but we knew that already, right ?
At last this is on RUclips! Thank you! This is the show that started a lifelong crush on Peter Davison. I was 3 when this was first broadcast ;-)

I used to rush home at lunchtime to watch my crush at the age of 11 x
Hey. Are there any other episodes with him? And where can I find them?
Sorry my poor English.
SOOOO funny! Especially love the skit with the parrots. :D
I met Peter Davison in 2009.
I'd love to see a later Once Upon A Time episode with Mark Wynter as I remember him better as the presenter, but I can't find one anywhere.
I remember that name actually but not him. He just wasn't Peter. *sighs*
They used to alternate between the two presenters. Peter Davison probably too busy to do them all as he'd have been doing Doctor Who as well
OMG.....I don't believe Peter put his hand in his pocket and said "Ah...there's something hard down here!"
I'm LAYGHING SO MUCH AT THIS jesus christ
Sonic Screwdriver to be?

I cannot believe this was 30 years before I met him at Armageddon Expo in 2009.
I hope Peter had a TelePrompTer...
This would have been so much better if it was filmed on location in a real forest.

"I don't think anything can grow on these trees." No shit, Sherlock, they're stage props !
"Apples are rubbish..."
"His nuts were much bigger than he thought".....LMFAO!
