Played this game so much at a local youth center back in '86-'87. It was interesting because both the cabinet and game were called Xain'd Sleena, which seems to be the Japanese name of the game. A few years later I would play this game a bit at a local pizza parlor. The cabinet was still Xain'd Sleena but the actual ROM was the American version called Solar Warrior. I could never figure out how a small youth center would come across the Japanese version of the game. Brings back memories. Well, off to fire up MAME.
I remember this arcade game called solar warrior on one man army against army alien beings going for one planet to the next and got a slim chance getting to the main boss and blew up the mothership before she take over the whole universe that's a great arcade bring back memories to the 1980s my teenage years
It did! At least, the "Or something"... It got ported to various home computers, including the Atari ST, Amiga, and Commodore 64. Depending on the region, it was called "Solar Warrior" or "Soldier Of Light".

Oh wow, there's a memory! We had the Atari ST version of this (called Soldier Of Light over here), but I hadn't thought about this in decades!
So with, "the peace of the universe is recovered," Xain is now out of a job.
very great memory on arcade
I remember playing this back in 86 at our local movie theater. I could never get past the 1st level
Not using the spread shot during the space shoot 'em up bits isn't going to impress anyone, you know.
I just wish that this game would come to the Switch and the PS4 Arcade Archives lineup from Hamster.
Thanks. I love this Game.
Hate it when my Sleena gets Xain'd.
I love this game and dunked ALOT of coins in it 🥰
Pro tip: keep the jump button pressed for a longer double jump.
I played this game only on my Amiga 500 -
known as SOLDIER OF LIGHT.
The game was frustrating 😾,
but i did finish it only once 😺👍🕹️.
Its a little bit like rendering Ranger with it run and gun and shmup section
Technos made this after their first Kunio game.
Respect ! This game is hard !
Plays pretty much like Air Fortress
Wish this had an Nes port or something.

@@AdrianWoodUK oh interesting. I only have the old consoles. Haha
Or an Arcade Archives version on the Nintendo Switch and PS4.
