This is the best. Thanks Upworthy. Perfect for post-graduation.
Very good speech. Humorous, insulting, genuine.
Wow! That's hilarious .. The speech is amazing!! .. One of the best I've ever heard.
He's completely right. The bullshit is truly stifling, and we need to make sure people see it in others and see it in themselves.
Lets hope it will stick in! Thanks for sharing.
AN AWESOME SPEECH
Funny isn't it, how someone so nervous on the podium can write such brilliant speeches! (:
That is wrong, but somewhat right.
They don't write them in their entirety, but are still very much involved in the process. They don't just get hand the State of the Union the day before the address and are told to 'just read the damn thing'.
I could relate to that.
Rating? Like!
too good
W A W. Beautiful speech, I'm amazed
Way cool and too true.
And, you can't criticize a president for not writing his own speeches when NO presidents write their own speeches. Pretty straightforward
I think the "xD" is enough to tell.
BRAVO!! PS - look below for the remnants of the BS culture that Jon talks about in his speech. Can't wait for that to become history!
Sigh, the comments are kind of making me not believe the hopeful ending of the speech...
Like a good speechwriter, he wrote a great speech! And he read the whole thing. NOT a good presenter... he looked down at his paper the whole time! But it was a good speech, I loved it!
This is great. its real and raw. sugar-coated free?
I think that he might be trying to get a gig with Christie ;)
ok so why is he not authentic in your view? he definitely is.
eh.... I didn't really care about that... I found him to be quite personable... we had Nancy Pelosi speak at our graduation... I find this speech to be way better, laughter and all
I am from upworthy. But I fucking hate upworthy. They just refer me to other links while putting annoying pop-ups in front of them.
and...
?
Do I want to go to Yale or Pisser? hmm...
clearly a hilarious guy, but it's also clear that he is funnier as a writer and not a speaker. This would be 100x funnier if he didn't laugh every time he said something funny. Before you disagree with me, just imagine this speech with him straight-faced throughout. Fucking hilarious!
Anyone from upworthy??
I think Clinton did write many of his own. But he was very much an exception. You're right, as a general rule, presidents never write their speeches
good content, delivery couldve been better to make it even more epic.
Er, intellectual property is not the lifeblood of the "free" market. They are a sign that human beings trading in the market are UNFREE.
Very decent keynote. Old decrepit people approve.

Please learn how presidents work.
Obama does write a lot of his own speeches. And all politicians use speechwriters. Stop being a nitwit.
Not to mention he talks about bs in speech but he wrote speeches for Obama and Hilary...a little hypocritical.
The speech is quite intriguing but he can't connect with the audience well.
