It's like a running gag almost that Kara uses her "Supergirl" (deeper, more heroic) voice on Lena the first few seasons or so, at least. She also compartmentalizes all of her personality traits ; the ones that Lena likes go into the Kara Danvers boxes and the rest goes into Supergirl boxes. That way, the contrast between in them Lena's mind only gets more severe as time goes on. To the point where she trusts Kara Danvers and hates Supergirl so much that they couldn't possibly be the same person, they weren't even similar to Lena. Take when Kara meets Barry for example, she doesn't act all that different in or out of the suit. No matter what they're doing, she's *just Kara* when they work together, but during Invasion, she introduces herself to everyone else as just "Supergirl" with her hero voice and everything. This is long winded way to say Kara Danvers been a playa' since season two and ya' gurl Lena got played XD

I can't take this show seriously right from the start becuase super genius lena luthor can't tell Kara and Supergirl are the same person despite spending a shit ton of time around both. At that point even a mask wouldn't make any difference because voice, speaking style, and body language are the same.
Kara basically ultimate Catfished her though. Lena could trust Kara Danvers, her caring, *honest* friend. Kara did all the things that Lena liked, they barely ever disagreed. Also, Kara was pretty much the only person in the world that gave Lena their full and undying support. Meanwhile, Supergirl became someone Lena couldn't trust, they constantly disagreed. Although they occasionally worked constructively together, Supergirl was usually strongly against Lena's methods and instead of appealing to Lena as a friend would, Supergirl would often just verbally attack or belittle Lena on the subject. The way that Kara would act and treat her was (purposefully) very different than how Supergirl carried herself and interacted with Lena. To the point that they shared no common traits at all in her eyes. Kara played on that for years, letting all of the "good" traits be Kara traits and the "bad" be Supergirl traits. Kara was very aware that she was Lena's most if not only trusted confidant and managed to get every other person in Lena's life to continue a manipulative web of lies. even is ya' gurl would have thought something was up (why would she? *Kara* never did anything wrong?) literally anyone that she might have mentioned it to would have just gaslit the hell out of the situation.
Ruby plays soccer and being her “other mother”, Lena has to know a few things of course! Though Kara is too and doesn’t understand a word from what Lena said 🤔
