Gorgeous pages ❤ I think as long as you are having fun, and enjoying the process, like you said, that's all that matters❤ I work on several pages at once too, I get bored to easily otherwise ❤
My gnomes always look the same too. More cartoonish. Lots of primary bright colors. Not a masterpiece by any means. BUT I kind of like it. There is no pressure to make it look fancy. It's just relaxing and fun
Beautiful pages! I absolutely love the Mythomorphia page! I too would love to see you finish that one! The Mythographic fox page is beautiful, too! TFS! ☺
Such lovely, lovely work, Shel! I always enjoy looking at your completed pages 😊If you have a spare water brush, you can fill it with Zest It then use it like you would the brush filled with water. I find it quite convenient that way and also don't need to have the OMS sitting out until I need to refill my water brush. Thought I'd suggest it in case you may want to try using it that way. I am saving up for a set of 120 Pablos and you are making me want it faster lol !
All of your your pages are beautiful. My favorite (if it's possible to even pick one) would be the dragon. I will be looking for the dragon color along.
I adore your patience with your colouring! I find myself getting frustrated if colouring any given element starts taking too much time, too many layers etc.
Your dragon is absolutely stunning! I'm surprised you're not that happy with it, the fireworks and scales on the dragon just pops out of the page! I'm always so inspired when I watch your videos because you talk a lot about how you just enjoy your coloring, and that is something I sometimes struggle with.
It's easy to get things too dark, or too vibrant with the marker base. Be sure to swatch them first because often the color looks different on plain paper than it does either in the pen or on the paper they provide. While I love Ohuhu's little cards I wound up using my typical coloring paper to reswatch all of mine. Try to base for highlight color.. that way you have room to shadow without getting too intense. I base almost entirely in pastels (which is why my marker set is 2/3 pastels, 1/3 midtones, and a single black being the only true dark shade). I also use the same color marker to base many similar objects (such as all the wood on the page), then go in with different pencils to finish. This way they are different enough to tell them apart.. but cohesive, as they all have a similar base tone. I find it keeps a page "together" more than using a bunch of different shades of the same hue.
Beautiful pages. I loved all of them. I want to try your pink background in one of my coloring pages 😊 I love that you make your backgrounds diverse. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you so much, glad you like my pages. Lol, ah the backgrounds! That’s usually my biggest challenge on every page, so I am glad you like them. Look forward to seeing a pink background from you 🤩💗
I'm stuck right now on a double page spread in Bermans Land book. It's almost entirely covered in individual leaves, with little open circles each containing a different animal.. it took me a solid week just to finish the leaves lol and while it's beautiful it wore me out. Hoping to get back into it this weekend.
I feel ya. This is why I'm avoiding too complicated and intricate coloring books nowadays. I just want something simple that I could finish in an hour and that would make me feel accomplished somehow 😂
that Gnome Sweet Gnome book isn't Teresa goodridge's best work...the pages are just too detailed and extremely busy but in an unharmonious way ! I was never able to create a really good piece of art like with my other coloring books...It was so disappointing 😢
Lovely pages! The Blender pen technique is so useful. Thank you!
Beautiful pages as always Shel! I adore those sweet little gnomes 🥰

The pictures look gorgeous and those aren't that many WIPs, I've begun counting mine and it's like 99 with a few books still missing ;)

@@blehbleh1260 I recommend either matchstick mouse or the "miniatures" series by Kameliya Angelkova. They are my go to for nice easy coloring.
Your pages are so gorgeous 😊💚
