  • Today this is a little different - things have been quiet because my sewing room was a little wet from a leak that we didn't catch!
This was the only room in the house that is really completely finished, and of course it's my sewing room. Double boo.

Sorry to hear about your flood. I had this happen about two months. It was overwhelming to move everything. We had to take up the carpet. I kept reminding myself how lucky I was there was minimal damage. It was an opportunity to reacess what I needed.
    Best of luck!

We were thinking of pulling up the carpet but it's drying up so we didn't. But still so disruptive! Sorry you had this issue as well!

Sorry that happened to you. I have one floor in my home. It’s a 3 bedroom house. Long story short, my master bathroom sink pipe busted and was splashing water everywhere. I was out shopping with my daughter for about 2 to 3 hours and came home to not only my complete bathroom floor full of water but into my entire bedroom. It was all carpet at the time. I shut the main outside and we started to cut the carpet and thru it out thru the window. There was no damage to the subfloor, thank goodness ,but my bedroom furniture was water damaged on the bottom. I laugh now but cried then. But it all worked out. I now changed all carpet to laminate flooring.

At least you noticed it before it caused major damage or mold got started. Look at it as a chance to reorganize. Again.
