@@MeetMeAtTheTable I have seen people criticize it, because it seems repetitive. And you get to roll a ton of dice. It is lacking in a “real” story/campaign but you always can connect them with your own narrative. Hope this helps. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Sorry I missed your gloomhaven comment and I’ll try to answer for both. Gloomhaven is a hame all it’s own. I have a dedicated group that plays, and it is hard to really place it. As for dungeon alliance it also is more of a puzzle dungeon crawler than a dice growing dungeon crawler. I like the randomness of SoB I think more but I do really like dungeon alliance. Neither will leave my shelf. I will have to make a top dungeon crawler list and why I like them. Thanks for a great idea for the future and thanks for the great comment
Yes this game is very much add what you want to anything. It’s a very open world in terms of what you fight against and who you use. It’s really cool. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
It is quite complex because the system is a very open story. The dungeon crawl itself is built to be a dice rolling game, more than an exploration game. Once you get use to all the rules it flows nicely. But if you don’t like a lot of randomness this is not the game for you. Thanks Starlight for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable yes I have had fun but it is an uphill climb initially. Thank you for making this video. It was very helpful. Also do you play through with the sorceror at all? The elemental blast and some of the spell wording is confusing. For example, does earthquake hit players in map tiles as well as monsters?
I didn’t do a good job of explaining what I was doing from what I understand I can use the staff at the end of the turn to heal one wound from another character. I choose the assassin who has 3 damage (that actually should have none since the monk was not in the same room). Then my sacred oath allows me to heal increase the healing by one for each ki token used . So since the assassin has 3 damage I had to spend 2 Ki tokens to fully heal the assassin (who shouldn’t be hurt). I might give back those Ki tokens we shall see. Hope that helps explain what I did and I hope I didn’t miss-understand what you meant thanks Bb and always and again for watching glad to have you along on the adventure. 😃😃👍
@@MeetMeAtTheTable no, your staff heals for 1. In addition, your ability allows you to increase it by 1 point of healing PER 2 points spent. So the staff healed 1. And you increased that by 1, since you used 2 Ki points. For a total of 2 points healed, not 3.
@@BbBb-zx6sx No, reference the video at around 37:13 ... it is clearly spelled out on the monk's character card. "For each Ki Token spent, increase Healing by 1 to a single target." Staff heals 1, 2 Ki tokens spent, each healing 1 more; total is 3. Not 2.
Yes there are 2 different abilities that he can do one is for 1 ki he can up the healing for each point spent, for 2 ki he can up the damage he does. I wasn’t as clear as I should have been in the video. 😃😃👍

@@MeetMeAtTheTable Where does Dungeon Alliance fit in with this group?
Sorry I missed your gloomhaven comment and I’ll try to answer for both. Gloomhaven is a hame all it’s own. I have a dedicated group that plays, and it is hard to really place it. As for dungeon alliance it also is more of a puzzle dungeon crawler than a dice growing dungeon crawler. I like the randomness of SoB I think more but I do really like dungeon alliance. Neither will leave my shelf. I will have to make a top dungeon crawler list and why I like them. Thanks for a great idea for the future and thanks for the great comment
Can one play this with the original Ancient City western characters?
Yes this game is very much add what you want to anything. It’s a very open world in terms of what you fight against and who you use. It’s really cool. Thanks for the great question and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
Shintarō and Tombei
Thanks Killi for the great ideas. I like the Shintro name a lot!!! Thanks for watching
Meet Me At The Table You are probably too young to know that these are characters in the Japanese 60’s series “The Samurai”
You are correct I didn’t know that thanks for telling me. It’s good to know where the name came from. Thanks for telling me 😃😃👍
Why this game so complex lol
Monks heal is you heal 1 more point for each 2 points spent, so you've over healed the assassin.
"For each Ki Token spent, increase Healing by 1 to a single target."
Staff heals 1, 2 Ki tokens spent, each healing 1 more; total is 3. Not 2.
Yes there are 2 different abilities that he can do one is for 1 ki he can up the healing for each point spent, for 2 ki he can up the damage he does. I wasn’t as clear as I should have been in the video. 😃😃👍
