I noticed you have the julia. I am in search for a chorus/vibrato/flanger type of pedal. I have an open spot on my board that Id like to fill w this type of effect.
I do alot of worship playing at my church. I understand that chorus is really not popular w this genre w some church music directors. Why did u chose the julia?
I ve been doing research on the julia, jhs emperor, tortuga martini, and others that i cant remember anymore. Oh and the strymon ola.
According to some of the comments on the julia, is being said that its too metallic and that the jhs emperor was more warm, more analog. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on these pedals i mentioned and also the julia?
I do love the chorus from the 80s and MAYBE 90s. I want to learn how to dial in the chorus so that it blends in w worship music.

Hy, greetings from Mexico, I´m a guitar player in a church here in Mexico, i started with the acoustic guitar and now i´m entering in the electric, but there is a lot of stuff and pedals, and tones, and pedalboards that is overwhelming, it will be very helpful if you made a video of basic pedals for dummies (like me) that we know nothing of pedals effects. Thank you for the tutorial and God bless you and your family, your channel is truly a gift and a blessing. By the way i learned my first riff with your videos.

Hi Troy, Really appreciate your videos and guidance. I only have so much real estate on my pedal board so I need to combine reverb and delay or maybe not. If I could just use one, should it be the Big Sky or Timeline? Or is their another great reverb/delay pedal that I should look into? Mainly playing worship music. Thanks so much

I'm convinced that I need to get your pack for the BigSky, but are there more videos where you go a bit more in depth on the timeline side of things? I'm just on the fence about getting the BigSky or the combo with them both together. With it being on sale, I may just do it and see what happens.
While I've gotten sounds I like out of both, but never quite fully "there" for me. These examples sound like a great foundation to work on since I haven't had nearly enough time to tinker to my liking.
Michael, I don’t have a specific video for the Timeline yet, but over half the videos I’ve uploaded (over 100), show how I dial in the Timeline. I hope that helps a bit. Feel free to reach out with questions. The feedback on the two packs has been extremely positive. Also, keep in mind, I actually use these presets, so they’re put together in a thoughtful way; better said, I wouldn’t put them out there if I wouldn’t use them myself. I just want you to be comfortable knowing that I have the community’s interest at heart as well. 👊🏻👍🏻🎛
Sounds great! I'll think I'll go for it. If I can drop $900 for the two pedals, $30 for a lifetime updated selection of wonderful presets is honestly a minimal fee at most. I love your videos and keep up the great work!

To import the presets into your pedal, you’ll need to download Strymon Nixie and hook your pedal up to your computer using the Midi Sport Uno cable. Link: amzn.to/2LvefKc
If you want to simply see the settings, follow these instructions:
1) Download Strymon Nixie

Ensure you UNZIP/EXTRACT the files before attempting to move them to NXIE.
I currently run a helix. The big sky has always been my favorite pedal. Seriously considering selling the helix, and picking up a big sky with a few others and running direct from the cab filter from the big sky. Do you know if by any chance it handles od good?

It is Meh. I did that for awhile, but was not real happy with it. We just went in ears a few months ago. I found a real budget friendly solution of getting the JOYO American amp pedal. Look at the reviews on amazon. I even run it into my vox at home and it sounds amazing. For under 40$ you can dial in a few different amp sounds by adjusting the voice and gain. I haven’t tried the sans amp or others, but I was looking for something that wouldn’t break the bank. I really think the strymon amp switch is only really good for is a back up if your amp fails.....i have a morning glory, ts9, and rat jhs mod....

No. These are my interpretations of the artists and how they approach reverb. Hopefully my ability to dial this stuff in is demonstrated in this video and the countless others I’ve uploaded over the years.

This is awesome Troy! Seriously considering buying the Strymon package .. My only question is, once bought, does it upload via midi from Nixie to the Strymon pedals? Also, do the presets save as separate presets on the Big Sky/Timeline, they won’t overwrite what I already have on the pedal? I hope you understand what I’m saying .. thanks man!👊🏼😎
Yep. Uploads via midi. Link to the cable needed is in the description. Here's a video I made for another gentleman who needed some guidance with Nixie. ruclips.net/video/9OnXMa_StzgA/видео.htmls you can see, the presets will overwrite what you decide to overwrite, because the Big Sky has limited space. But they won't overwrite all of your presets, if that's what you're asking.

Guitar for HIS Glory Perfect Troy! I noticed when you dragged Bethel 1 into Bank 00 it deleted the original Studio verb that was there. Does it erase it or just move it elsewhere?🤔 Also since it’s offline, once I’ve dragged it and dropped, I just connect the pedal right up via midi? Thank again!🙋🏻♂️
1) It erases it. I put all my Master presets in Dropbox so I can drag and drop when needed.
2) This gentleman didn’t have the midi cable, so he just wanted to “see” the parameters. If you have the midi cable, you’d connect the Big Sky prior, that way you’re moving and affecting presets in your actual unit.

I just purchased the lifetime everything bundle bigsky presets but when I open the file I only see a portion of the presets that the list shows on your website.

Yeah, your verbs are great. I was just sharing out of surprise, I didn't think that's how'd they do their verbs. Like the verbs are 8+ seconds and extremely dark, quite unusual.

I actually had the HS8's and swapped them for the HS5's. The 8's were HUGE.

What are you’re verb recommendations for Jesus Culture?
Depends on the song. I'd use the Elevation pack for the lighter 'verbs and the Bethel pack for the more mix-heavy 'verbs.

Never used one. I tried the DD500..couldn't get used to it, so I passed on the RV500 as well.
