"If you get the opportunity you should ____ yourself." That was one of the best line readings I've ever heard. Just chilling.

Love that tune at the end. Sign of the Judgement. It was in a previous episode, but an uptempo version. The soundtrack is so good!

It's interesting that so many people judge Rust because of his brutally realistic view of life when he is actually, by far, the best man in the entire show. Love that you recognized that -- cuz a lot of people don't.

Woody is playing Marty to perfection if you ask me. Their respective roles also suit them fairly well, which makes it so strange that they were originally supposed to play the opposite part; would've been a totally different show, that's for sure.

Elie, may I point out one thing?
The name of this episode is "HAUNTED HOUSES"

I get Maggie's rationale, although obviously it was the wrong and immoral approach. She wanted him to leave, and given their history it wasn't going to be easy, so she thought if she had sex with Rust it would be enough to get Marty to end it with her, and I guess it turned out she was right. Similar thought process with Skyler in BB, she wanted a divorce, Walt refused, and rather than sue for divorce (which would have exposed all of Walt's wrongdoings) she chose sex with Ted in the hopes it would get Walt to agree. In Skyler's case though, it didn't work like it did for Maggie.

Did you notice that the woman who murdered her babies had a swirl shaped scab on her forehead?

the beth character was SO random and cringe to me lol he was old enough to be her dad. and even creepier he knew her since she was a teen. AND HE HAS A TEEN DAUGHTER! the show never addresses this tho

This is such an odd reaction to that… the Beth situation ties is very ingrained in Marty’s story especially when it comes to the circular nature of the shows reality.

@@Grizzly_6623 it being gross and creepy is the show addressing it that's the whole point

@@Grizzly_6623 what is odd about being totally grossed and creeped out by it? I guess it can be argued that it ties into the broader themes (I know) but I still think the whole scene was written like some male fantasy. It was unrealistic how she pursued him like that. Also it would be more justified if they point out the age gap and he felt more guilt over it? I don’t remember that happening. But he doesn’t care until his wife gets back at him

      @@pencil6965:
What a bunch of nonsense. Young women have pursued older guys since the dawn of time. Even when I was in high school many of the girls were constantly fawning over older guys, and some of them even had boyfriends considerably older than themselves. Being older now myself I also notice that I get more attention from women of all ages, including younger women. There was nothing unrealistic about any of that whatsoever.
You can make as many moral arguments against it as you like, and I would certainly agree that there were many factors in this case that made it very inappropriate, but that doesn't change the fact that it definitely is something that happens a lot in real life, probably for deep underlying biological reasons that have been with us for tens of millions of years of evolutionary history, such as higher reproductive success for men attracted to women who are younger and more fertile, and higher reproductive success for women attracted to men who have proven themselves capable of surviving well into adulthood.
