If you modernized the M2 AP round for .30-06 and used it with this, you could defeat even level IV body armor and pose a threat to lightly armored vehicles. Even people behind cover might not be safe. This seems like a weapon that could be useful against opponents wearing full body armor, because while they might knock one of your guys down, you can flat out kill one of theirs.
Instead of pointing to links in the description, you could have created a video where you talk about the details of the rifle. Watching you simply shoot stuff is getting a bit old. Unless you provide more details about the guns you're using, all of them look and sound, basically, the same, from my (video playing on a display) point of view.

In modern combat scenarios, being able to move quick, and uninhibited in tight spaces is essential. 2. Cost. They are VERY expensive. This, along with the above, is one of the reasons the Mk-17 never made it to standard issue. They are just to expensive to even begin considering use for standard issue. Not just the guns, but the ammo as well. 3. That is a big, loud, heavy gun. For modern combat, a lighter, smaller, more compact system is usually better. Yeah, I see this maybe entering special forces use for certain situations, like the Mk-17, but it's got too many disadvantaged to be standard issue. I'm personally a fan of the Tavor-21. While they are slightly expensive, they are also compact, incredibly light in the front due to a bull pup design, and have a manageable round.
I'm sorry but you don't have the right to hope it replaces the M4 until you've carried a 14 pound loaded gun while wearing a patrol load for 5 hours straight. In 110 degree heat.

It's a worthy replacement of the legendary BAR. Both are in my top 5 fav guns of all time along with the AK5C, Minimi, and M14. It would be awesome to see a Swedish AK5C in one of your videos!

Way old but does stove pipe = failure to completely eject the cartridge? If you watch at 0.25x and pause as it jams, you can see the bolt snapping the cartridge into place sideways.
Maybe as a special purpose caliber like for a marksman rifle. The Russians still use the SVD, so why can't we keep using the 30-06. The .308 is 30 caliber in a shorter casing than the 30-06
put a bipod on this thing with a 50-75 round magazine/drum and youd have yourself quite a nice squad support weapon or LMG. I can definately see military application for this thing
True. At the moment, the Fabrique Nationale Minimi (Or SAW, as it's known in the US), already has the LMG base covered, but I could see this becoming the replacement; it looks a great deal lighter than the SAW, without loosing some of the firepower.
Other than commonality of rounds, there is no reason to downgrade this rifle to .308. 20% more powder capacity in a .30-06... I didn't design it to be used in a military role. Any interest thus far from the military has been coincidental.
308 is more widely produced, and more available in bulk form, and no research here but i would assume that 308 is probably cheaper. But to each their own.

I used to hunt with it but downgraded to 7mm-08 because there was too much meat damage lol.

MsckMatt you're wrong, sorry. Anyone can hide their accent. If you have ever seen the walking dead, some of the actors are British and they hide their accents so on tv they don't sound like it. Either way I think he has an accent because it wouldn't make sense to fake it for all of his videos. It would be more effort to act Russian than not
