Thankyou for that nice video, I have some old bamboos from many years ago they have not rooten from what I can see but they have a matt like look and that there appears to a layer of something on it, does look like mould and I can't wipe it off don't know what it is. It is ok to use bamboo in this condition it won't damage or cause an infection to my plants?

I need this. I have bamboo soon to be gone and a garden
Great info but I have one question.... is there any chance of freshly cut bamboo rooting itself into the ground? I'm in the process of building a trellis now and was wondering if the bamboo needed to cure first.
@@SamKrish8984 I built a beautiful 24' long trellis that's still holding up nicely through the seasons and is a pleasure to look at through my window in the off-season. I put 2' long, 3/8" rebar into the ground and cut the bamboo so that it would go over it at the joint after drilling a hole into the thick joint. I figured it would give it the strength it needed and not split that way. So to answer your question, I didn't end up burying the end of the bamboo. Problem solved, but my question remains unanswered! I have cattle panel trellises as well but the bamboo is definitely more aesthetic.

If it’s touching the ground doesn’t the bamboo start growing roots
