The 335i and M3 trim levels perhaps...N54 can be fitted with a single big turbo kit and make super-supra dyno numbers. The problem is despite being decently overbuilt (just like the 2JZ) it's things like belt tensioners and wedgie prone crank seals that will grenade the motor if left stock...but when these cars get old stock is what people tend to look for
Not actually. Because theres so many of them made simply. It will turn out to be a nice car as always but not as desired. Something like e36 is nowdays
@@funfun5656 Eh the crank seal thing isn't a big deal unless you have one of the early cars with no clearance between the pulley and subframe, and crappy mounts so they break the pulleys and tear through the belts. Later ones fixed that, only real danger to the belt on anything '09 and up is the stupid oil filter housing placed right above the belt and prone to leaking, so the oil leaks right on the belt and dissolves it but you can catch that really early. Bigger problems are the injectors (unless you have the fancy ones) that cost a fortune to replace, the insane decision to use a plastic housing on the water pump in such a hot bay (weirdly, the 330i has a metal one), the usual turbo issues with age, the fabulously leaky and brittle valve cover and so on.
