This could be part of the lore since we know that the entity had a group of survivors before the ones we have now. I mean the observer dude was part of the last batch of survivors but he escaped kinda before that group got scraped for the ones we have now. But in technical terms it could just be prototypes like some suggest

I usually try to save survivors when I can, but if the killer is hook camping then it's just too dangerous.
Although I purposefully lose a skillcheck on a generator to try and lure the killer towards me, it doesn't always work.
Here's another idea. Learn something from the actual horror movies and DON'T go save someone and end up 2 people down instead of 1. #Logic
or you can save someone and have them be used as bait to later on save you. for an example if the main character saved the guy on the hook he could've been used as bait and allow for the main character to escape while the killer kills the guy that was on the hook.
if the monster just stays at the person on the hook and thats caught in the beartrap, you as a survivor have the chance to get alot of objectives. so no you dont always save the guy. And if he just keep making mistakes thats his problem

Who wants a dead by daylight movie , I think it would be awesome
I don't know what a story could be but I would probably go with a teenager (Sam) whose searching for his missing sister who's actually been taken by the entity and is bring hunted by the trapper, Sam and a group of friends hanging out in the woods end up being taken and are put in the game, I wood probably go with a 2 hour film and keep the trapper, wraith and hillbilly and introduce two new killers, mine would be a scarecrow and clown type killers, it would be gory and really heart pounding
But the whole point of Dead by Daylight is that it's a game version of a slasher movie...
They should just keep 1 killer...wouldn’t make sense to have multiple

I have honestly had this thought for a while too. Don't have any killer other than the trapper. If there was a movie, it should have some integrity to the original gameplay before any updates took place. The killer should be the trapper and the four main characters should be the original four survivors (Jake, Dwight, Claudette, and Meg). It could start out with their backstories listed in the game's lore but then they end up getting stuck in the enclosed forest (or the suffocation pit if that was the original map). They'd all be confused and wondering how they got there and start exploring the place until they come to a generator or an exit door (the story writers can determine which one would make sense to find first) so the survivors would understand how they are supposed to get out. They end up trying to do one of the generators but either one would mess up or they would get it done, causing the killer to go to the location and for all of the survivors to hide. This is how they introduce chuckles.
Each of the survivors can have their own qualities which are supposed to represent their unique perks (although the perks themselves should not exist in the movie). Jake could be the one who can sabotage the traps because of an item he has (give him a toolbox to reference his Saboteur perk), Claudette's item would be a medkit (to reference Self Care), Meg would have Decisive Strike because of how common players who use Meg use DS. The survivors would be picked off one by one to be sacrificed to the entity. I feel as though the scene where you open up the game should be included too. A previous scene includes Meg trying to squat through tall grass and the camera angle goes to where the viewer can see a bear trap but before Meg walks into it, the scene shifts to Jake and Claudette finding the generator and hearing Meg's scream, just like in the cutscene before you enter the game.
The movie could continue to where 2-3 generators are complete but there are only 2 survivors left (any two that would trigger the fandom the least. E.G. "Seriously, Dwight was the first to die?"). They would try to evade the killer for a majority of the movie but it would be dificult with the killer interrupting them.
It would finally get to a part where there is only one survivor left and Chuckles is patrolling like a boss. The survivor would be looking for a solution but end up failing and getting caught by Chuckles. As the trapper is carrying a survivor to a hook to finish him/her off, he/she catches sight of the hatch and is instantly filled with adrenaline to make it out. He/she starts wiggling like crazy and ends up grabbing something that they have to stab at the killer (simulating Decisive Strike). The killer drops them and the survivor ends up making it out through the hatch.
That could be the happy ending to the movie but there are some that say that a horror movie shouldn't have a happy ending because then it doesn't make it much of a horror movie then. So then when the survivor manages to escape, they end up finding themselves back in the middle of the enclosed forest to survive yet again and that is how the movie ends.
Just a thought but I would find it entertaining if the movie writers inserted references from the game so fans could go "yep, I know how that feels." I'm sure DBD could survive as a movie if it was done correctly.
If they made a movie about this game, the survivors would just be bullying the killer the entire time.

As a super young kid, my brother showed me this trailer back when he was my age and it terrified me, and now almost 6 years later, I love the game. This trailer haunted me for ages and it's amazing how far the game came from 2016

Most likely but I do like my thought that this was the group of survivors that the entity scraped for the new survivors we have now. There is evidence that there was a group before because of the archives and the observer says that he was part of the last group and I think vigo ( forgot his name) used to be in the trials also.

I like how this game trailer has a horror movie vibe to it.
Woman running to survive and goes into the one area the killer of the knows best, the woman trying to survive goes walking backwards away from the stairs hoping the killer dismisses to enter the location but hears a noise while passing the area investigates the sound of knowing where the person is hiding but pretends to not know where they're hiding ans walks out of their sights so that he don't alert the one he's after otherwise they try to run so does the appear from the side to catch them with ease of no hassle. I love how the developers did their horror research to give the people watching chills at the hope to not be found parts 🙂

My current theroy on this game now on perks without character names are survivors that was in the entity for a long time and had succumb to the entity and lost all hope for survival, since the stranger things pack is now gone the 2 survivors that was in the pack(Steve and Nancy) and demogorgon have their perk icon and names changed and can no longer be unlocked and the icons on the perks can also be who the perk used to belong to
