I just find it funny that before poppy 'disappeared' no one was racing to buy her dolls, but now that she might be 'rare' doll collectors are scrambling to get her.

I wanted her when I saw her in store in September I thought her dress was the prettiest in that episode 😅 but I was getting married in October so I couldn’t justify the extra dispense and I’m kicking myself for not just biting the bullet then cause when I went back in November to get her she was GONE shelf label was even taken off the shelf and she got replaced by Jade 😢
The only reason poppy is being kicked aside is purely to replace her with a more 'colorful' orange replacement in the near future. Poppy was my favorite! 😢😢😢
I always felt that the original Rainbow High dolls, with two outfits, were too good to be true. I thought they were such good value that I didn't see how MGA could keep making them and still make a profit.
The strange thing is that I don't think hype is the only thing playing a role here. A lot of people have been claiming that Poppy was removed from store shelves and websites in the States. I live in Europe and it really looks like that was the case. There isn't a huge collector community where I live, so whenever I rush to catch sales in stores I feel silly, because those same dolls end up sitting on shelves for months after that. I can literally tell it's them because of recognizable marks on boxes, etc. Rainbow High is a lot more expensive here and it just doesn't seem to sell all that well. That doesn't stop people from trying to resell them for ridiculous prices on the second hand market, but I keep seeing those same ads hanging around for ages, too. I went to the handful of stores that carry RH here pretty often during the holidays hoping for sales, but those sales never really came. And from one day to the next shelves were empty. And this was just a few days ago, so it had nothing to do with holiday buying or clearances, etc. It looks like they're just making room for the new dolls. And it went from dozens of Poppys to none overnight not long ago. She's nowhere to be found on German Amazon or any other websites that deliver here. Other dolls that have been removed from shelves are still at least available online, although prices haven't really gone down online either. The hype hasn't gotten too bad here yet either, because I think a lot of local collectors may not be watching English doll content and following all the rumors and leaks. I just picked up a Poppy second hand, new in box for 22 euros earlier today (so this video was well time for me). I, too, wanted her from the start but was waiting for a sale, because she was listed at almost 50 and never went on sale. So, I don't know what's going on with all of that. I heard some rumors that Walmart employees were pulling them from shelves and either disposing of them or sending them back to MGA. I also heard there's some lawsuit story with Poppy Parker claiming the rights to the name Poppy and supposedly the long battle just came to a conclusion and lead to all of this. I have no idea which of these rumors is legit, but it's definitely a "curious case" indeed.

Oh my gosh the mystery of Poppy Rowan just keeps growing. I would be very sad if there is something nefarious MGA is doing to pull her off shelves so I’m just gonna be optimistic that she’s very popular and coveted instead. Very interesting stuff tho!
Poppy was my most wanted doll from the fantastic fashion collection. But like many others, I decided to wait for a sale given Rainbow High’s history. It was as if she never existed and we were all going through a Mandela effect, as if this doll was never real. I found the remains of her bar codes at target and one day I got lucky with the target app and was able to get her for pickup. I checked the shelves and only 1 other Poppy remained which I left for someone else. Doll fomo is so frustrating given how scalper heavy this community has become
Yeah I think some stores def pulled her barcode bc on the Target app it says “not sold at this store”, strange stuff all around. Fomo is definitely real but it feels so good to resist and find what you want for a good price!
The beginning was giving Princess Di teas. Poor Poppy, hopefully she made it.
I suspect this is all manufactured scarcity that MGA planned once they knew they wanted to soft reboot the line. Look at the way they included "tell Poppy..." in the Rainbow World teaser. Then they pulled her Fantastic Fashion doll off shelves, knowing this would create buzz amongst collectors. Finally, they posted that Instagram photo, knowing it would REALLY get the community chattering.
I think they know exactly what they're doing, and look how well it's worked.
I like Poppy as a character, but not as a doll. Her being over price is eye rolling and my condolences to her actual fan.
I AGREE...at the end of it, these dolls are for FUN ! They're just a piece of art that we love. I dont stress, but it is fun to have that thrill of the hunt. I had that with Western Barbie. I was not going to pay $150 for her. I did get lucky, there was a small window of time where i was told she restocked on Target online for the original $50. Bam ! I jumped on it & got her.
Ahh that’s awesome, I found Western Ken for like $37 and was so excited too. Now I want Western Barbie too but her prices are not it 👀

I'm so glad I got her during that pre-order on MGA's LOL website back in summer. I love her dress. I have every Poppy doll. Poppy was my favorite character before all the talk of her disappearing from Rainbow High. I am sad she left, and I did order 3 of the slime dolls, but it's not the same without Poppy. Monarch butterflies are very sentimental to me, so seeing her go is like how I hardly see monarchs where I live anymore.
Interesting facts. I bought all 7 Rainbow High Fashion dolls immediately when I found them on Amazon. I didn’t hesitated to wait for a month because my instincts are telling me something that this is special RH line that I can’t put my finger on it. My instincts are correct that Poppy just disappeared and all that hype around her. I am hoping to find her for second time to keep her in box. Thanks for the information that patience is the virtue that I can possibly to find her in Target if I being diligent searching for her.
I too waited for her to go on sale.then, I didn't see her on sheleves, then panic set in, I watched some RUclips videos and realized she was gone! But I held it together and hoped she'd be restocked. I checked target online often. I randomly went into a target and exactly as you shared,I too got lucky, there was one on the shelf. Only one. Her box was beat up so I thought she was a holiday return or forgotten backstock. But I was so happy I got her at retail. Because we belong to the same doll camp, no FOMO, be patient, doll treasure hunt camp.😁 great video and thanks for the doll advice.
I found ONE of her last Sunday at my local target that I had been going to for WEEKS I acted out like a literal child when I found her, definitely gonna remember that moment😂🧡
I have to disagree on that. Poppy didn't become a fan favorite after the slime dolls were released and MGA got rid of her ... Everyone loved her BEFORE all this ever happened. I have Poppy, and she was my first RH doll and MANY people's first RH doll. Poppy will always be special to me because she was my introduction to this series. And she was many people's reason for first buying RH. Poppy has been loved and a fan favorite right from the start. They need to bring our favorite butterfly girl back because I hate seeing the other girls without her ... To me, RH feels dead without Poppy 😔🧡🧡🦋🦋

I needed this so bad it’s kind of crazy lol ?? I have been looking at rainbow high dolls for the past few weeks after not being interested in them for years ( now I’m kicking myself for not buying them when I could !) and I was upset that this poppy wasn’t there because I actually liked her . This helps me not panic buy something way over priced .,

As someone who lives here in Oz, I agree on the belief that Poppy is now gone. She did not even hit the stores here with her Fantastic Fashion doll. I tried asking some friends who work in Kmart, myer, and target, they told me that she wasn't here in Australia which is absolutely frustrating as someone whose fave chara is poppy since Season 1.
I wasn't able to get any previous lines which is frustrating since I only started collecting in Series 3

I have 4 stores in my city that stock rainbow high (2 Walmarts and 2 Targets) and I've only seen one Fantastic Fashion Poppy at them combined one time, which is when I got her. They have all of the other dolls and I check fairly frequently (I'm looking for zombae dolls). She doesn't even have a sticker at two of the stores anymore even though the rest of the Fantastic Fashion dolls do
her disappearance is really weird but it doesn’t shock me because the same thing happened with delilah and Brianna except the difference was that delilah was restocked every few months and Brianna disappeared just like poppy. Some ppl on the rainbow high Reddit page though have found her at target so she’s still out there somewhere. Also there’s this one seller on Mercari that sold loads of fantastic fashion poppies so I’m curious as to how much stock of her they have bought 😂😅
If im being honest though i never really wanted her so even if she comes back i would wait for a sale. And that goes for the entire fantastic fashion line. I cannot pay $35+ for those dolls i just cant 😭
I didn’t check Mercari, just eBay, but I’m not surprised 😢 and yeah I think the $35 price point was a big factor for people sleeping on this line.
That mercari seller who's selling those loads of FF poppy dolls blocked me after i gave them a 4 star review. Not for FF poppy but was for a winter break doll (seller was trying to hide a flaw that should have been disclosed)

i traveled two and a half hours on 3 separate busses to find one fantastic fashion poppy at target yesterday. i was waiting for her to go down, as i felt 35 was a bit too much to ask for for this line. i stupidly passed up amazon black friday's sale on them for 28, feeling that it would go down. then poppy disappeared, and people started panic buying. the fomo definitely started to hit me as i was looking at and calling targets all over me to see if they had stock. its crazy that a doll who just came out in july/august already disappeared of shelves. im glad i got her and now i dont have to struggle to find her later. i think mga just didnt know what to do with her monarch butterfly motif anymore, and axed her in favor of amaya, who's rainbow motif is possibly easier to design for.
Yeah once I caught wind of the Target restocks I was so stoked for the chance to find her at retail. Glad you got one for yourself even if it was a journey! And I can see that but idk I like the butterfly motif and am sad to see her go
This is just some food for thought, but one of the future lines listed in Target's system is RH "Moonbows". So far there are 4 dolls confirmed for the line and ORANGE is one of the colors listed along with Pink, Purple, and Blue. So Poppy may not be gone yet assuming this isn't a different orange doll. Btw the video was great. I was living for the investigative journalism of it all.😎

Australian collector here, When the ff dolls came here sadly poppy never came here, in every listing in websites like big w and kmart they only had the others the only mention was i the description, the only place was amazon for $100 (65 usd) and oz toy store which obvi sold out immediatley so that just goes to show that the poppy panic sent waves internationally sadly poppy has always been my fave since 2021 when i started collecting, just wanted to share this!

Same here in Canada. We got everyone but her, and she was the one I wanted.
I'm so saddened because I wanted her but didn't have the funds! once I got the funds she is gone, scalpers all grabbed her up. sad day
This Poppy is not a rare doll in my country. They sell it at big discounts. Fantastic Fashion Jade is the most desirable among collectors and expensive here

True, i did see Poppy in stock at a nearby Target the way you explained. I wasnt able to get there that day. And i missed out. She was gone the next day.😢 But its ok, the hunt continues. If i dont ever get her, its fine. I got the ones i really wanted, so im happy.
I am sad I couldn't buy Poppy's Runway doll, I bought my granddaughter two of the Costume ball dolls (one on sale) in November. I have limited money and space, with the number of dolls last on the shelves or on Amazon I was hoping to buy Poppy after Christmas, unfortunately that isn't going to happen. 😢
I wanted to get poppy so badly but i wanted yo wait for them to be on sale but CONVENIENTLY MGA had to get rid of her from shelves, but im gna keep an open mind that one day ill stumble across her or she’ll restock bc if i just focus on her i’ll miss out on the rest of the fantastic fashion dolls

I would love to come across a poppy fantastic fashion doll. Since the reboot happened I have started casually collecting/ thrifting rainbow high dolls. You gave us some great perspectives. unfortunately Poppy runway never once came to Australian stores, and neither has SH s3. but RH series 5 came here pretty early and even went on clearance for months at almost half the price

she was a chick who like music but also balance the sportiness and girliness of her personality it she was pretty easy going and up for a lot of Adventure but the as time went on her personality down to just the DJ who like music
There were episodes where poppy would only show up to play music no real dialogue as her presence in the show become lesser and lesser each episode.
That's one of the reasons why I was slightly disliking her because they we're making her more and more irrelevant but she's was suppose to be the main character
Poppy went from a main character to a supporting character and in the end a background character as far as I'm concerned.
Poppy reduced to such a background character in the show I understand why they took her off the main core characters she became irrelevant to the show and wasn't popular enough to keep

Maybe there wasn't hype for the Fantastic Fashion because many liked the other characters more ? They werent the same old original characters. Or were still trying to buy those. I just hadn't got to them yet, & Poppy was the only one i wanted. But i just started collecting these dolls last year. So i was catching up.
I heard from a creator I follow they heard stores are telling employees to throw her doll away for some reason

I just found Poppy at my local Target only 1 and I snatched her cus she was my missing doll from fantastic fashion but the way she’s popping up is wired , Target will pop up with 1 or 2 Poppy dolls and sell out in hours 🤷🏻♀️ at it been like this in my area
Yes I’m not sure what’s happening with her and why she pops up in small batches. My guess is that when Target stores are ordering more Fantastic Fashion they are getting an assortment rather than huge allocations of all the dolls. Either way I’m happy people can buy her for retail!
I loved Poppy when she was released, she was my favourite but I never purchased her at the time . I don't think there's anything sinister going on as for some reason she is Everywhere in the UK. I finally got her a couple of days ago at a reduced sale price. The Hype over these dolls is just not here so most are usually available which I'm so grateful for as I think they are amazing!!!

Managed to purchase her on the Smyths toys website, she is out of stock for delivery but alot of stores still have her in stock . Also Argos, but it does depend on location, she is available near my location for delivery and in store. Don't bother with ebay , ridiculous asking prices and Amazon can be hit and miss , I've found that Rosie Redwood really hard to find at the mo . Keep looking they have been going in and out of stock quite often 😊
@@carolinevucinic3505 Thanks for the info. That's so funny. Smyths stores here (in Austria) stopped carrying Scarlet. No labels on shelves anymore, nothing on their website anymore either. But Rosie is all over the place and on sale lol. But unfortunately Poppy isn't on the Smyths website and not in any of the stores either. So weird... but it still does feel like if you want any of the dolls - Poppy or otherwise - and they're still in stores for reasonable prices, it's a good time to get them before they're gone and in the hands of scalpers. There are plenty I don't really like the clothes of so I don't mind waiting to get them second hand for cheaper. But I think a lot of people will try to take advantage of reselling for high prices after the reboot and I don't want to regret missing out on any that were easy to get and priced well.
I guess it does depend on what is popular and what is not , Amazon can be just as outrageous with their prices as ebay . I purchased Victoria Whitman last week on Amazon for £16.99 with 3 left in stock only for it to go up to £21.99 with 30 in stock the following day! Yesterday she was reduced back to £16.99 , again 3 left in stock , so I purchased another to unbox. Today she is now £47.02, 30 in stock , crazy, crazy!!! I keep looking just to see what happens next 😂

Can someone explain WHY it's so much negativity towards the refresh of rainbow high? I think it's just insane how many people are mad about this, the main demographic is AND always will be children and children love bright colors, gliter and slime

The runway fashion line of RH never grabbed me because I'm something of a basic b1tch and don't do high fashion or formalwear in my collection. The only one who mildly intrigued me was Poppy and I saw her in stores a couple of times, but the desire wasn't there for me to purchase. So I don't have her and have no regrets. I do think she's pretty though.
I'm sort of the same. Poppy was the only dress I liked, but I didn't get her yet either. I like normal casual outfits or like SH goth type. But not really run way or princess dresses.
And the new friends also i havent buy them cuz since they were released even on BF they never go dowm😢

this is weird to me. she wasn't that popular up in Canada. But i've been told in USA people want her to redye her for customs. I think alot of it is hype but I do find it weird how *every store* in my city has cleared right out of all RH dolls in a month. I'm with Eli + going to remain optimistic , in the hope that there are frieghtloads that just haven't reached NA yet due to ship logistics .
I found Sabrina at a mall of all places, so I do think she may still be out there. I have since put my Sabrina in a bin in my basement to make way for the slime dolls, but someday hope to display her again.
