A friend of mine told me about a dad who went into a rage because his son was on an IPad. The dad yanked it away from his son and broke it...only to find out that the IPad he broke was issued to his son by his high school and his son was doing homework at the time. Dad had to buy a new one.
Maybe his dad just want him to do a respective job thats why he got so much emotional . Edit - i know some American shits are soo mad about it , but in asia its not very brutal thing. So stop crying already, . That thing is his dad only broke his console not his legs , and this is better than a broken leg . Also i also should say his dad was a piece of trash too who was cursing his own wife and his own son while smoking a cigarette, looks more like a junkey . His son must have learned that kind of behavior from his father for sure .

"Oh man, my kid forgot to do the dishes! Time to break the stuff they like! That'll surely motivate them and not make them hate my guts!" Some of these parents were NOT thinking straight.
My parents and I had an understanding as a child. I'd play games for a few hours then I'd go help with chores, then do my studies for a few hours. This saved my life. I found balance between working hard and working smart because of my parents.
I literally saw a vid where this dad got his son a ps4 for his like birthday or Christmas or sum and literally breaks it right after the son unwraps it. Like??? Why would spend $400 just to break it immediately
I can understand from a parents point of view that when you ask your kids to do chores or things around the house and they always game over doing them it’s very frustrating. Destroying the console ain’t the way to go. Take it away and make them earn it back
Different strokes for different folks. There isn't a single universal way to reprimand children. Some kids will only learn when the thing they love is destroyed, and often it can get to that point when so many other options have already been exhausted on them.
I think it's gonna have to depend on the situation. In some situations I agree, but some kids need the extra shock factor to realize that they done fucked up
@@joshhardemon6103 even from a legal standpoint, something that you earned from "your own money" still technically can't be considered yours in the true sense, until you are "of age", meaning 18 or older, hence why you can't sue your own parents for property destruction as a minor.
Parents were right, dude. The children nowadays are super consuming technology dispositives, they became dependent of that. Thats so harmful for the mental healthy
As a mom with two kids who LOVE their games, systems, phones, ect...I am so sad for these kids. There is the simple act of taking it away, locking it up....maybe teach them to earn it back...instead these kids will never forget the hatred and probably do this to others in the future.
Yeah exactly. Literally on psychology, it rarely works when u take something away permanently. It always is better to keep something from the kids and then have them work to earn it back. It teaches better habits. These kids aren’t going to try any harder cause they aren’t getting their games back. But if they knew they would be getting it back, they’re get into the habit of hard work
That’s your problem children don’t learn when you take things away from them destroy what they love to make them understand what they did wrong. Just like these 90s generation and forward have no respect for personal communication and have no respect for their parents they need an ass whooping and everything taken from them
I’m a kid I’m 11 I’m from Scotland I know how much pain these kids go through when this stuff happens it’s never happened to me but still it’s almost happened my data was attacked by a virus 7 years of data almost lost I really wanted to go crazy on Sony cus they rushed ps5 before x box was released x box series x was released and they didn’t borther adding in anti virus softwares it’s able to repill virus’s but not as good as the PS4 did I remember zero data loss on PS4
Watching the parents actions explained exactly the way the children acted the way they did. I truly feel bad for the kids here. Not for getting their consoles smashed, but not being raised in a healthy environment. Geez.
Yeah! I feel sorry for these kids to, I feel sorry for them because when the parents give them expensive game consoles that's all that matters to them anymore! The game is the only thing they love and respect, I mean just look at them and the way they react when their drug is taken away from them! OMG!! It's pathetic the way they scream and cry over something they love and respect MORE THAN THE PARENTS THAT PAID FOR THOSE GAMES!! These kids are nothing but SPOILED LAZY BRAT'S that don't deserve to have those games in the first place! They can't even do something as simple as taking the garbage out or washing a few dishes like they were asked to do because they have zero respect for the parents that bust their ass every day working in order to keep a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, clothes on their back and to be able to afford the gifts that are given, so when the parents smash all these electronics THEY BOUGHT for them, it gives me soooo much pleasure watching them do it
Honestly if your stuff if being destroyed you have every right to yell at your parents. This behaviour from the parents is appalling if ur kid isnt doing their chores temporarily take it away or limit their usage but destroying their shit is despicable. These parents failed
@@labibahassan5603 Really? I got my DS lite taken and broken in half because I was looking up shady shit on my dad's computer. It taught me not to do that kind of shit. Also, he bought the DS so technically it's his to break. If I had bought it with my own money, then it's mine & they can't take it. They never took away things that I bought for myself & they never broke shit for no fucking reason. I was acting a fool, so they taught me a lesson. And it worked.
@@labibahassan5603 And yes, a couple of them broke the devices for stupid reasons, but when a kid never does shit that they're told to do and tries to excuse it by saying "It's who I am", then yeah. The games need to go. And they can't exactly hide it somewhere, because when kids get old enough, they start figuring out hiding spots that their parents use. And the parents also know that the cycle is going to continue if they give back the game.
To all parents who destroy their kids video games and say its 'Discipline' or 'it's Teaching my kids a lesson' you are clearly teaching your kids to think its a good idea to be aggressive and break things when you are pissed off along with wasting money. What if your kid used THEIR Money to buy the games and console? Then you, as the parent, just smashed it and wasted your kids hard earned money, Then you get pissed off when they get angry at YOU for wasting their money that THEY had to earn/work for. Also, you'll also wonder why the kid resents you in the future as they get older, set better examples for your kids! Instead of breaking the console, just take it away for a while then give it back!
Its also simplified to basically having your kid hate you for the rest of their life even though you bought that yourself and decided to destroy theirs. But sometimes it is justified as a kid stole money from a wallet
Childrens are learning. You have to teach them good habits. I wouldn't destroy your kid's happiness because kids will remember how you treated them. Never take their happiness away and not take childhood for granted. Yelling, anger, and destroying their happiness will affect their growth. You have to learn how to teach, discipline, and communicate their mistakes.
My dad did this to me I didnt speak to him for a week and he thought everything was ok and he kept trying to speak to me I had an xbox one and It was my first console. So my mom, to teach me a lesson, gave all of my Christmas gifts to needy families who couldn't afford gifts for their children. I got nothing that year. And I learned more than one lesson. @@khonkhosilelihle7414 what? They don't deserve this. The reason why these kids are spending too much time playing on consoles is because their parents are too busy too pay attention to them. As someone that was raised in a completely toxic environment, games were my only escape. The irony is that they're probably taking their kid's only coping mechanism and source of escapism from maniacal parents, and such an explosive and destructive reaction only furthers the resentment and unwillingness to help their parents. At least being that way is a great catalyst to the kids wanting to get the fuck out as soon as possible.

Some of these kids live in houses. Growing up, I didn't have any electronics or toys. I was in a rundown apartment with books and a radio. When you're that poor, stuff like phones and computer games become a privilege. These kids don't understand how good they got it to even have it. Parents shouldn't be so impulsive to destroy it when it presents a problem. They should be smart enough to create a solution rather than delaying one problem with another.

True. But there's no honest to God cheat for parenting. Just this winter, and in the blizzard, I've seen a teenage girl walking down the streets with... Let's say: "White stuff," on her face and scandalously-clad clothing items. I repeat... Winter, blizzard... Her mom was driving down the same street in her truck, her reaction was that of confusion (Like the rest of us.) at first, then she saw what everyone on the street saw, and started brawling and screaming. I know the kid, she had a GREAT childhood, but she was always upset over things no one understood. However, as much patience as anyone could have with her, that low self-esteem she represented that day... Therapy is the only thing that came to mind. No amount of parenting could help that. Repeating again... winter, blizzard. She was high and drunk, so she didn't care about her appearance, nor the fact that whoever she was seeing LEFT HER OUT IN THE COLD WINTER'S BLIZZARD, and whose fault is that, her parents? No. That's an issue she presented for herself. So, I can understand their anger.

@@naomijones.mcugeek6374 that's some reals facts bud.
"I don't understand why my child isn't well adjusted. I just violently destroy everything that brings them joy when they disobey me."

If I had kids I’d do as much as possible to not demonstrate my rage. I don’t want to be a living excuse to destroy out of regret only to disqguise it as “parenting”
ruclips.net/video/V392Gg52tAk/видео.html
Agreed
Some of these kids live in houses. Growing up, I didn't have any electronics or toys. I was in a rundown apartment with books and a radio. When you're that poor, stuff like phones and computer games become a privilege. These kids don't understand how good they got it to even have it. Parents shouldn't be so impulsive to destroy it when it presents a problem. They should be smart enough to create a solution rather than delaying one problem with another.
@@sayxxdx I think the parents are correct to feel what they feel. They are watching their kids develop a deep relationship with an inanimate object. And yeah it is scary when that relationship negatively impacts the reality of the household. I get it , trust me. Addiction is addiction
Just a reminder to all married young men, "If you can't raise a kid into a good citizen, don't make one. Parenting is no joke, but perhaps the most valuable and toughest skill in world".
Yes but also how would you know if you can't or can if you never have tried? Parenting is about EXPERIENCE. -also sometimes it's not the parents fault the way a child turns out, there are kids who were raised great but CHOSE to be murderers and criminals so it's not good advice.

During covid school was totally off, then right when covid ended we had to sit for our International board exams and I earned 2 Cs and 2 Ds and its my fault for not doing better. Seeing my grades my father yelled at my sister telling her that she HAS to get A+ in all her exams. No As No Bs. Only A+ in everything.
My father smashed our family tablet (my grandmother and mine) because I was being late to school. Then when I threw my phone a couple months later for being angry at myself for other reasons he came and told me who taught me to throw things. And then I told him, he did. But then he makes shit up changing the topic.
Now I'm getting ready to retake my international board exams because I need a "scholarship" to enter university in my 3rd world country because my father can't afford to send me to other domestic private universities. Also my mother has a masters degree in psychology and worked with many children. She was a counselor for years and she agrees that this is what a bad parent would do. I’m not saying they can’t do ANYTHING nice for their kids but destroying their toys is a sure fire way to get them to hate their parents and have trust issues. This is just one way to get your kids to try and get revenge on you.
