Finally, someone is giving South Africa the credit it deserves! I really think they’ve hit their stride at just the right time. They've got an awesome team packed with young, local talent that really clicks together. They play smoothly, are super comfortable with the ball, and really gel on the field. South Africa's squad is ready to take on any challenge and pack a serious punch. Big shoutout to Hugo Broos for bringing out the best in our players; he’s definitely one of the best coaches we’ve ever had!

@@Joe_Ndlozi Okay okay okay! All the praise of the world you are giving to South Africa because you are a South African yourself. With all the local and Young talented players you mention, how many CHAN did South Africa won? Because CHAN is exclusively an African competition for all the local players.

    • @Joe_Ndlozi
      @Joe_Ndlozi День назад

No need to be rude. Asking like that just doesn’t work. Just so you know, South Africa doesn’t bring in "first team" players for the CHAN and COSAFA tournaments. They go with younger guys playing in the lower leagues. Most of the players who finished third at AFCON are actually first team players, and a lot of them are from Mamelodi Sundowns and other top teams. These are the same guys who beat Morocco twice back to back and Nigeria also couldn't beat them in 90 minutes at AFCON and World cup qualifiers.

    • @the180degreerule3

who isn't giving South African football credit? dude, all south african nations have a unique footballing style that is so apparent and deadly when opposing teams lose sight of it, I'm a Moroccan and last Afcon proved my point cause even before the game your style in that part of Africa not exclusively south africa but Lesotho, Botswana, namibia, and even zimbabwe have a similar style, different enough but similar.
south african football is like you have it figured out easily but still get stung if you're not careful all 90+ minutes of the game.
only a non african or african football fan who doesn't follow african football will be oblivious to the footballing style of each region and of course will not appreciate this magnificent diversity.

If dey have a game with strong team and u gave each 4 strokes of Kane dey will win the game. That is Nigeria for u

Woah so many teams in tier 1.
Morocco have been good in the last 3 qualifiers (2 AFCONs & 1 World Cup) because they play away matches at home. They still make Tier 1 though because North African sides are strong at home and they'll probably get a favorable group and KO draw.
My tier 1 (title contenders) would be Morocco, Algeria, Egypt (home advantage and form) + South Africa and Senegal because they win matches they are supposed to win (to steal your line). I expect at least two of these teams in the semifinals.

Your analysis is really good, you know a lot of African football in some good details and thats why I wouldn't totally dispute your opinions, but ....
Firstly, in tournaments, especially the AFCON, there are teams that tou don't write off no matter the form they qualified with, a good example of that is nigeria,
Nigeria makes it into the semi finals of every AFCON tournament at least, despite their coaching problems or lack of results in the qualifiers.
Nigeria in terms of the AFCON Is a very strong tournament team and are ever hardly getting shocked or beaten by minnows unlike other big boys in the continent.
Also you have to remember they are capable of going all the way in the next one considering they have individual talents that can turn up at the big stages.
Ranking them second tier and behind countries like Angola and Dr Congo is a bit careless and doesn't really depict a team that is supposed to be feared .
It is fair to say Nigeria has an FA and coaching problem in their football, however, when the chips are down, Nigeria is totally capable of beating any team in Africa on their good day, trust me.
I can only talk about Morocco and senegal as teams that are capable of beating nigeria and going head to head with them in a major tournament as their match.
Every other team is suspectible to losing to nigeria in a major tournament.
Nigeria have a WC qualifiers to make up for when the time reaches next year and trust me , if by March 2025 Nigeria manages to win both games in that qualifiers, you are going to see a team in beast mood when the AFCON tournament reaches.
Many teams in Africa are really good these days but not many teams are genuine AFCON tournament teams, even Morocco included.
We would find out soon enough though.

You've lost your mind for putting Nigeria as tier 2 only losing one game in the qualifiers because we rested the core of our team. U know we getting a top manager ahead of the WC qualifiers and the AFCON in 2025 right? Maybe you should've waited till next year to make this list cause I wont be surprised Morrocco drops form, goes to the tournament and get taken out by Cameroon in the R16. Scoring 26 goals aint shii cause come tournament proper, its a different ball game and lots of teams will defend with their lives, play on the counter and expose Morocco.
