i really like mystery egg. the fact that it took a card no one thought would be good and a card that was never good and made a new meta wild deck is awesome to me as someone who loves theory-crafting.
For me, it is better than showdown was, but i had so much more fun in titans and festival of legends, those metas felt more forgiving than this we have right now
I really feel that shaman is a victim of Blizzard constantly toying around with what Shaman "could" do rather than giving it anything consistent. Additionally I think the death of mid range decks due to power creep has impacted shaman the most. Also the Shaman excavate card actively offends me *end rant*
This expansion was a lot of fun on its own tbh Miniaturize and Gigantify are fun and Freeze Mage getting some more love was awesome for me. The only outliers were Paladin and Warlock. They were straight up BROKEN for a while there. Shame everything surrounding it was riddled with controversial changes
Only thing I didn't like about this expansion was that it made the Ebon Blade Uther "Exodia" strategy more consistent. It was NOT fun to play against that
Mass Production is insane. I can steal their whole deck by turn 3 with togg druid, and yet I could still lose if they had mass production in their hand because they just turn my deck into copies of it...
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Token Beast support Hunter got, as it was a huge part of their card pool in WW. It was initially very dominant in Standard... was it really not played in Wild?
aw, you didnt even talk about even dk, i think it benefits the most from sing along buddy from all the even decks tbh. The amount of corpses and extra burst you get is extremely clutch with the 4 mana +3 attack spell.
its even druid that benefits the most by far, even dk went from bad > bad even druid went from literally unplayable > having multiple winning meta matchups
@@FlareHearthstone idk man, even dk is on a decent spot rn as it can prey on rogue as long as you pack a ton of spell disruption minions. I still havent found any even druids, not even in high legend where the meta allows more diverse bs.
Is the point of view you have on this expansion in Wild specifically? If so then these takes make sense, for Standard tho, I’d say your a bit off on a couple of things. For example, Khadgar is a great card in standard, it’s just that decks other than no minion mage for the class suck in standard format. Also, Mystery Egg seems to pretty clearly be a cheat sort of card for big beasts in standard for hunter. And Sonya has been insane for Rogue in standard lol

To be honest, the statement Khadgar is a great card in standard, but decks other than no minion mage sucks, does make it sound like it sucks.
