Nope. I learned about this red door the hard way. I only used the mod that makes you walk a bit faster. It only gives you a -50% knobs restriction and the barrier was still there
@@rax279they fix it, now if you somehow go to rooms with modifiers they are removed, i was playing and somehow i clip through the barrier and i enter rooms but the modifiers gone and then i start cliping through the floor, i already contact the deve about this bug
For that last theory I'd have to make a good guess that that is most likely not apart of doors lore. From what I know it should be *easier* to put a red barrier for the scene where there is modifiers/incompatible modifiers enabled than to make the gates have the action to say closed, nothing too special I assume.
I mean, it makes it feel more fitting since the Modifiers icon is glowing red, so if there was just a sign saying it's closed, that would be kinda boring, and unclear as to what caused the blockade

my theory is that a lot of modifiers don’t work with rooms (i. e. lights on, i’m everywhere, etc.) so the devs added that barrier to make their lives easier so that they don’t have to program a bunch of stuff for the modifiers to work (srry if that didn’t make sense lol).
My theory: When you click on the modifier icon, you can see it say The hotel on the top, and you can click it but it does nothing, this could mean that in the future, there might be modifiers for the rooms (or it could be just for floor 2) and it's blocked because they haven't been implemented yet

first of all, it’s quoting that modifiers is just basically like el goblino story mission in tower heros and el Goblino has said that these dreams feel real, so that doors can make the events cannon and some events not cannon. So that’s why there is no guiding light whenever you die with mods on, or be able to enter the rooms cuz modifiers aren’t cannon in the real doors. Also the red light of the crucifix on seek and figure is that the crucifix doesn’t work on seek and figure, only stunning/stalling them for you to get away.
Very late to this, but my theory is that in the new update the painting without a name with the curious light now has a blue moon and a red modifier icon in the corners. The blue moon appears when crucifying the entities. For Seek and Figure it turns red, I think because yes they’re very strong but the red light helps them escape from the guiding light. The symbols on the crucifixation of an entires says “One of the three architects marked by the celestials awaits you” THREE? curious guiding and that red one maybe….
my theory (and its most likely confirmed) is that "The Rooms" is considered a different "Game" (since you technically join a different game when accesing the rooms) so theres none of the modifier code in it (same with super hard mode) although if the devs want they could allow the player to use modifiers and start directly in the rooms (would require A-1000 badge) allowing hotel entities to be in the room if their specific modifiers are enabled (rush hour for example)
The Rooms is actual floor so when you enter The Backdoor to The Hotel,that will you tp to different "game" but it gonna be have modifiers in future(that means when backdoor with modifiers enabled,the last door never open due to tp you a different "game"
You could, me and my friend went in there with maximum overdrive and it made getting to A-1000 a breeze it was a glitch and was recently patched though :(
I tried this with my friends a couple days ago and you can get into the Rooms with modifiers using noclip, but even if you noclip and actually get into the rooms its gonna send you into a normal Rooms game, without any modifiers. This wasn't surprising as you can't get to Rooms with Modifiers on without using exploits.
Idea: in a future update, they add another page in the modifiers called "The Rooms" and you need to get back on track to play the mods, Mods like speed, and wet floor are still useable New mods: Their Everywhere! 10% more knobs/gold -rooms entities spawn at any room no matter if you havent reached their number Guiding Light! -15% gold/knobs -the Crucifix and Guiding Candle work in The Rooms MY EYES! -7% gold/knobs -every room is lightened, but the first rooms are insanely bright To Many Monsters! 70% more gold/knobs Every doors entity except Void is in the Rooms (Seek and Figure would still have their own rooms, differently styled) Electric Bills Not Payed 40% more gold/knobs Rooms start very dark, get dark enough to where a flashlight cant fully emit enough light to see the entire wall Bad Battery 30% more gold/knobs The gummy flashlight can only go to 70% its way and it looses power faster These are just some examples! There is no lore reason as to why there is a barrier to block you from the rooms like "It's because Guiding Light isn't here!" No? If you're doing the modifiers then you already beat doors once, and therefore shouldn't need Guiding Light's messages. Plus, you could just use all positive modifiers and get A-1000 alot easier which kinda defeats the purpose of it being hard. What if you had modifiers for Halt always spawnings? How would that work in The Rooms when there is no proper hallway nor Halt to begin with. It's easier to get rid of the Rooms all together instead of dealing with the headache that is Doors modifiers in The Rooms.

But what is likely happening is that there is a separate place/scene that has modifiers enabled and if you select a modifier a value will tell the game to send you there instead of the vanilla game area. The thing on where nothing happens/carries over from Doors to Rooms could actually work out yes, because unless inside of the area where they specifically made it so you could not get to inside of the modifier version *specifically* leads to a modifier version of rooms, it's probably going to send you to the normal (not modifier enabled) rooms or in the worst case scenario they just remove the thing that teleports you to rooms. Another version of this way to make modifiers for a previously unmodified game would be because Doors is a randomly generated set of rooms you could edit the different rooms and their effects, events, etc, to create modified versions of the rooms for doors. But really I do not know for sure since I have not seen the project file(s) 100% intact myself so I could only guess as far as my knowledge can get me. edit: I think it does count *some* modifiers inside of rooms (like MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE), but for incompatible effects it could be blocking it off because of the currency gain being free. So the different places *do* communicate with eachother. They (doors entitys) have meeting and after an hour of fighting (mostly over what they should have for breakfast the next day) they came of a desision to make a barrier without the rooms entitys knowing. Of course g-light did all the work and made the barrier but she forget player can walk through it (😂) so she get c-light to make the barrier stronger. Now, i sort of get the idea why the barrier is there and i dont blame the devs for adding it in. They just need to give it a name.

Theory: the symbol for modifiers is a portal, right? So what if the modifiers are parallel dimensions that are almost identical copies of the original. What does this have to do with The Rooms? Well maybe The Guiding Light created these parallel dimensions by accident, and then managed to hide the portals in elevators, because they were created by the Guiding Light, who has probably not been in The Rooms, does not know what it it’s like so those barriers prevent you from going into the void.
you CAN go into rooms with modifiers I did it once in a discord call when we wanted to test the update out, The modifiers were bad ventilation and slippery floor, and we were able to get into the rooms without much trouble
if the "no progress" label is there, you cannot get any badge, so because of that, you cant enter the rooms. the ones that dont disable progress may actually let you into the rooms. edit: gonna play rn to see if my theory is true

Theory: the symbol for modifiers is a portal, right? So what if the modifiers are parallel dimensions that are almost identical copies of the original. What does this have to do with The Rooms? Well maybe The Guiding Light created these parallel dimensions by accident, and then managed to hide the portals in elevators, because they were created by the Guiding Light, who has probably not been in The Rooms, does not know what it it’s like so those barriers prevent you from going into the void.

if the "no progress" label is there, you cannot get any badge, so because of that, you cant enter the rooms. the ones that dont disable progress may actually let you into the rooms.

I think one or more of the modifiers has "No Progression" I'm guessing that's why it's doing that red barrier, im not 100% sure
