THANK YOU! Full or not… this event is such a historic one. THESE were the first competition backflips. Many folks think it was X Games of 02 but this event actually happened before. Was broadcasted as a pay per view live and then later aired on NBC regularly but after the X Games. First flips and first flip variations! I’m pumped! Thank you for this.
Your welcome bro thanks for watching. I´m on the hunt for more Freestyle competitions specially from Winter X Games and AST Dew Tour but is very difficult to find those. Any good idea maybe how i manage to find them? Also I´m going to upload more freestyle events in next days.
@@MotoXpsycho911 I sure wish I knew how to find more of them. I’ve been searching for many years and haven’t had much luck. Specifically why I’m sooo stoked to see as much of this one as you were able to get. This has been a lost gem for a long time. If I can find any leads on any of the other missing gems… I’ll send them your way.
@@JohnMathews390 Thanks bro. Let´s hope we find them all one day. My last hope is people that have recorded these contests in VHS. Only that way i believe we will find them.
Thanks for uploading this! I have this on VCR at my parents house, have always wanted to convert it to digital. I was actually at this event at 8 years old! Got to meet Pastrana and Metz! Such an awesome experience that I’ll never forget!
This is so sick! I remember watching this stuff fresh out of high school just dreaming to be like these guys! Thanks for this upload ! These guys really pushed the sport back then made it extremely exciting!
Awesome upload! Despite being a pretty big fan, I had never seen the 02 Gravity Games footage before. Love the the fact the throwaway run was a 96.00! Just shows how much importance was on the backflip between 2001 to 2006.
@@MotoXpsycho911 well you’re returning the favour! Thank you! The 00s are quite nostalgic for me so always fun to rewatch old stuff sometimes. Good times.
@KICKERfilm Can I ask if you have the complete contest from 2000 X games? I'm going to upload Gravity 1999 and 2000 next days, but I don't have from X Games 1999 2000 2002.
@@MotoXpsycho911 I am pretty sure I have the X Games broadcasts for all FMX events from about 1999 to 2011. They are on a hard drive. The early ones are fairly low quality .rm files. Some of them include unscreened footage too.... e.g. people fooling around, practicing commentating, just filming riders having a chat which is interesting. I'll see if I can find them.
@@KICKERfilm You are a legend bro. If you can send me please. I will upload more stuff next days but i missing also a lot. Don´t worry for the quality i have a program to upscaling the videos
“He actually downshifted twice! Watch his right foot!”…..bro,that’s the rear brake pedal 😮 I guess Travis modified the bike and switched the shifter to the right lol
your welcome bro, thanks for watching. By the way if you have another Gravity Games from 2001 2003 2004 or 2005 recorded I would love to upload if you send me. I can´t find these contests. Actually 2001 Gravity is on RUclips a friend of mine has uploaded.
Man, I didnt see it at the time cause I probably didnt get to watch the whole event, but watching Pastrana riding the same two jump loop for most of 3 rounds, doing little else besides practicing backflips and trying to get his hands off the bars, sure makes me appreciate Metzger. Mike did two per round and the second one was always a new variation for him... With all due respect I'd have given the win to Mike on that one.
This is the cleanest version I have ever seen of this event. 🙌🏽
I try to fix all videos that I upload but some are very bad. But if you watch them from phone or tablet are very clean.
Goat. Doin the lords work right here
😂
This competition is legendary like Travis Pastrana 🙌
Yes 😂
