Idea - knit the lace pattern on the leg of the sock and then switch to regular vanilla sock around the ankle and down the foot? Would still have the cute lace detail peeking out the top of shoes
I have...so many. Like 4 blankets, only one of which I'm actively working on, several knit scarves that I want to crochet around so they won't roll, a llama, like 6-7 bags, a dog beanie, a cardigan, 2 punch needle projects, a few embroidery.... Yeah I need to do some frogging. I have some sewing projects, too. Two bags, a dog sweater, and a stuffed animal. They've been overwhelming me so I have some big plans to finish them up--or get rid of them
haha it can be so overwhelming 😅 i hope you can get around to either finishing or frogging stuff!! but it's totally okay to have a few UFOs sitting around for a bit too!
I really struggle with the fit and comfort of a lot of patterns and felt a lot better when I realized it’s the same with any clothes. When i try it on it might not suit me the way I thought based on the picture.
that's absolutely true!! the good thing about making your own clothes is that (ideally) you can get better at figuring out how a piece will fit you, but there will definitely still always be new lessons to learn haha
I don't have any UFOs right now... but that's only because I recently went and frogged all of mine. It felt good to free up that yarn to be donated/destashed/repurposed! With your socks (bearing in mind I don't know the pattern at all!) would it be possible to do stockinette for the heel and continue the lace pattern on top?
that's awesome, i need to do that soon 😅 also thank you for the suggestion on the socks! that is how the pattern does it, but just because the heel is a bit more stretched out on my foot it causes the lace pattern on the top to be stretched out as well. i'm gonna give them one more try before i give up i think lol...
i started crocheting last march and knitting this february, so i have one crochet UFO and one knit UFO that atp i’m too lazy to frog 😭 i have two wips bc i also try to be a monogamous knitter :) one blanket and one tee
haha i definitely put off frogging stuff too, whoops 😅 i’ve also had one blanket wip for years but i don’t even count that when i talk about my current wips haha

But yeah...the if I can find them question is true here as well, but it's just a stash and dash problem, rather than a moving problem, lol

I’m more a monogamous knitter too. I only have a pair of socks(started a week ago), a shawl I started yesterday and plans for a blanket right now.
aw those sound so fun!! 🥰
