  • 2nd place run today. What did I think, would be hard? The dungeon. What did I think would be easy? The steps. The plan was to go for speed for the very first time. At this point I’m ahead enough that I can risk it. 1st down the bar on a ring. Then the steps and the rings. The dismount proofed a little harder on the rings. The hand switcheroo I had going on on the rings and cannonballs was due to the fact, that my right hand was taped up and I thought I might slip off the cannonballs. So the 1st plan was right hand rings, left hand cannonballs. But then I realized, I can’t, so I switched back. Got through it with a lot of grunting. I should have pushed the starter block back a little, but it worked with shuffling, too. That was a time killer though, so much for speed. That next block was kinda like snowboarding once you pushed it over 🤣😂🤣 They forgot to reset the next obstacle and asked me, if I wanted them to stop the time. I went nah, just toss it over. Got down fine, but then the dismount got me. The laches was too far yet, but I gave it a try. On the next one I missed the bosu ball and my right arm smashed into the wooden feature and I banged it so hard I got a cut and bruising from that and started bleeding, while I was doing my run. I just went eh and kept going. Couldn’t reach the ring, but then did the next balancing just fine. That’s when I grabbed my elbow and had blood all over my hand and that’s when I realized, I must have done more to it than what I thought. German stubbornness prevails though and I wanted to do tornado alley, so I did. Balance beam and steps was easy. Ran out of time after my laches on the next obstacle. What am I proud off? My goal was to finally hit a buzzer, so I was trying to go fast and with no hesitation. I must have gotten that “fast goal” half decently, cause afterwards people told me how much more confident I looked. Another proud moment is, that I just shook the elbow off and kept going. In fact, no one else realized I actually injured myself until I had ice packs later on. I hope, I can heal until next weekend. It already feels better, but let me say something, when the ibuprofen wears off 🤣😂🤣
