We stopped by one of the fastest growing card shows in the Bay Area to walk on Saturday and see if we can make some deals. We had quite a few meetups planned already, but when walking the show, we definitely saw some prices that would raise an eyebrow or two!

Lol guy is deluded. These new people getting in to the pokemon seller game don't have any negotiation skills at all. If you are that far apart its no point to even continuing the deal.

Huge fan of the channel! Just a tip for your wireless mic - the way your mic is pointing makes quite the difference in audio quality/volume. Your mic clipped to your collar is facing outward instead of towards your mouth. Just thought I’d let you know.
Thanks for the heads up. We're still figuring out the mic situation, especially when it comes to collared shirts as when we pin the mic, it'll be facing properly, but by the end of the day it'll fold over and the mic facing the wrong direction!
45 slabs for 110$? what
Definitely not 45 slabs for $110. I was counting the total value of the specific slabs we purchased. Probably picked up around 15 slabs in total, nothing insane. >_

I’m surprised none of the vendors complained about you setting up shop outside the venue without purchasing a booth.
That’s because he’s doing business with said vendors and buying their stuff.
@@robotZER0 I was referencing purchasing bulk items right outside the rooms. Typically any buying or selling should be done between vendors and customers. Not customers and customers.
It's outside of the venue, and the deals were done beforehand, they can't say shit really. They only rented the hall not the whole hotel lol
Customers make trades and deals with each other all of the time at shows. Be aware that I never interrupt vendor deals or take up space at a vendor table. Most of our deals whenever I'm walking a show are already settled, it's just a matter of meeting up and making an exchange since all of the legwork and quoting has already been done online in advance.
@@Pokemastersteve90it’s rare that any vendor or venue host would care if “customers” are doing deals amongst each other. If someone is looking for something a vendor doesn’t have or if someone else walking around is willing to pay more than a vendor for something, it’s better for everyone involved.
Dealing with all that bulk seems a lot harder than just working on higher end slab deals. Do you not get burnt out?
Its not really harder but its way more work for minimal profits.
Dealing with bulk is definitely a lot more work, but its more abundantly available and at a much cheaper price point than focusing on higher ended slabs that won't be as abundant and at a margin that you can sustain over a longer period of time.
Are you coming to the Front Row Card Show in Pasadena later in May? If so will you be vending?
We unfortunately will not be attending the Pasadena card show this month due to logistical conflicts.
Just curious what do you do with all the bulk?
They did a video about it maybe a few weeks ago
HOLLLLLLLLLLLDUP.... you hit a vendor up wanting to buy his $1 bulk box at bulk prices and seemed befuddled that yalls price was so off? Like bro, what do you expect? Dont recommend doing that any more man, you have bulk coming to you and you know vendors have costs associated with the show. That was distasteful.
Not really, those bulk cards are worthless and cheap. What’s more crazy is asking $380 to $400+ for bulk cards 💀

@@mysterypacksarescams It really depends on how many cards were in there. If there was 400 cards then his offer was fair but if it was like 1000 then it was extremely low ball and distasteful.
Not really, that vendor is doing the same thing OP does and pretty much every vendor. Youre buying bulk cards and marking them up to $1 for kids to thumb through and fill out binders. Dont go around offering to buy them at bulk prices, im sure the dude didnt offer that at all.
