What a character Mark Williams is, pure entertainer.
People keep praising Ronnie for the ammount of entertaintment he provides to the sport, imo a close 2nd in that deparment is Williams. Great player, great character, lots of fun to watch every time, you can tell he just loves the game. Definitely a one of a kind player.

@@mriwhite4309 Because the cue ball wasn't replaced. Selby elected for him to play from where the cue ball ended up.

Guessing cause the white was hampered by the other red he couldn’t hit any red full ball (either end of the red could not be hit) therefore the rule doesn’t apply, again just guessing 🤷♂️

@@lewisdawson2518 anyway he can hit the ball closest to the cue ball with a full ball. And I think it's not same definition as "not snookered" where you have to be able to hit both extreme edges of an object ball. You only need to hit full ball in this case.
That's because the referee forgot to warn him. Without an official warning from the referee after second miss( or the misses after), three or more consecutive miss in non-snooker situation is considered Ok.

Because he plays from the new position each time; the balls aren't replaced, so the rule doesn't apply.

they put it back because the player 1 was supposed to hit a red ball but unfortunately he hit the wrong one and when you hit the wrong ball player 2 can choose whether to put the balls back on previous positions for player 1 or the player 2 wants to play with the current positions of balls

I think, instead of putting him back, Mark just made him play from where he left the white, meaning he had 3 chances again.

The rule is for foul and miss, if you play from where the ball ended up it doesn't apply.

If I am not mistaking, you lose the frame if you miss aiming at a ball that you can't see, while at the same time there is a different ball for which you have direct visibility of at least one of its sides, and therefore would be "easier" to hit. All the misses were while aiming at a legitimate target so he was never warned by the ref.

Pretty sure on some occasions he was asked to play again from the existing position (the balls were not replaced). You don't have a 3 Miss Rule in that instance.

13:18 Surely it's not up to the referee to ask "which colour".
If they've just potted a red, the player has to nominate which colour they're playing for. Although normally they would do so without the referee having to ask. I remember one situation where a player was snookered and took about 5 attempts, consistently fouling by hitting a different colour to the one they'd nominated.
