Every time I take this bike out, I get amazed at how easy it is to ride out in the woods. Two hours of highway one way to Brushy Mountain. I will for sure be doing this again!
awesome footage. As a DR rider who carries a similar pace as you guys do here, this is some of the realest footage on youtube of what the DR is like on the trails
@@drewtietz2274 thanks man I appreciate that. That's the goal I'm trying to push here. It drives me nuts when people say you can't take this bike in single-track or treat it like a dirt bike
@@EnduroActionCyclesLLC It's not that you *can't* it's just a bit like an elephant on ice skates, a bit all over the place and unwieldy as seen in the video. I bought a 21' brand new and the suspension was bad enough on the hwy and watching this video just gives me PTSD from riding it offroad lol. It was a decent commuter though and if you like hp and can't afford a KTM/Husky it's the way to go if you spend lots of time on the highway.
I really enjoy your videos and was drawn to them because you are riding a real enduro motorcycle. Not a glamorized factory modified street bike with knobby tires and some expert dirt bike rider……. I raced motocross and grew up riding in the dirt, and gravel roads were considered highway travel for us growing up. Going over logs, mud, quicksand and each other was the call of the day. My generational Yamaha YZs could and did lay all of the Japan enduros in the weeds when rode together in the rough…… But, these enduros didn’t break down, had a head light for night escapes from the fishing pond trespasses, were quite and were easier to ride on the pavement in the event we had any to traverse. And, I bought one of these enduros 30 years later to start riding again because of their universal abilities. No doubt about it, if a large adventure bike gets hung up in some quicksand in a shallow moving body of water it’s over! Good luck finding that video. Just some ramblings here. Looking forward to your next ride.
@@kellyyon-x7p thank you for watching! I'm glad you are enjoying my videos so far. As I do this more and try other bikes I realize that I enjoy the older/simple bikes just as much as the new ones if not more. I'll be making more and working on my editing skills as they're sub par at the moment
@@jonwoodworker yes the front forks came with some work already done. Not sure what as I have not had to pull then apart yet and I replace the rear shock with a cogent
The sound of those beasts it´s amazing!
I love those big bore bikes.
@@thepoorfreelancer2494 me too! Thanks for watching 🤙
