    My timings were
    Up at 7am - shower and eat breakfast, listen to music and watch a little tv
    9am to 1pm study / 4 hours
    1-2 lunch break
    2pm to 6pm / 4 hours
    6-8 dinner and tv time
    9-11 3 hours study
    Sunday off
    I studied four months - 1056 hours and I creamed the bar exam - I mean I literally destroyed it - you have to make a schedule and stick to it - I switched my phone off and didn’t speak to anyone except my family - I focused and didn’t care about anyone or anything.
    I followed a simpler pattern to this lady in this video except I went through the materials first three months in depth and then just practiced every 6 days for a month is exam conditions and after I did my cycle I sat the exam with a one day gap - no studying day before exam I - ate light food, relaxed and got an early night prepacked and got up early and went to face the biggest battle of my life! You can do it too - just believe, keep to a routine and remember keep that phone off!!!!!!

    Hi Denise, I didn't see in your videos or schedule time blocked for studying outlines. Did you just jump into questions without studying/memorizing outlines? I am struggling with spending too much time viewing and studying lectures, and by the end of the day, I am exhausted, and I don't even feel like I remember all that much even though I am doing active studying, meaning I am taking notes and really listening. Any advice you have on how to memorize outlines would be hugely appreciated. Thank you, Nina

This means I am not able to solve as many questions as I would have liked to, as I am spending a lot of time learning from the answers. Do let me know if you have any suggestions! thanks

  • @darkstarstranger3302
    @darkstarstranger3302 Год назад +6

    Hi Denise. So, I'm using Barbri since my school provided it for us and I'm not sure if you're familiar with it but barbri has lecture videos that lay out all the law for the subjects (I'm CA). The lectures are usually separated into 2 videos scheduled one day after the other (the videos can be up to around 5 hours long each). For example, I have gone over evidence, con law, and have just now finished contracts over the past 2 weeks. You mention that we should 'study less, practice more' by doing active studying like mbe sets/essays/PT's but my concern is, by practicing more aren't we essentially just learning from our mistakes? Say I do 100 torts mbe and get 38/100, I have to review the reasoning and rules on the questions I got wrong to learn. What do you say on the video lectures that explain the reasoning of the law? Personally, I find myself always getting distracted and often 'bored' while watching the lectures which could be the whole passive studying you mentioned. I suppose what I'm trying to get at is, wouldn't you need to have a foundation for 'practicing' by 'studying' the subject first? Also, you mentioned flashcards as part of your 'passive studying' at the end of the day, does this include memorizing rules verbatim? And when did you have time to write down the rules? I'll be sure to email you to take a look at your study schedule because I honestly don't feel like I'm learning that much with what barbri is scheduling me.

      Read first on your review material then pre test then watch lecture then post test ..
      Tomorrow follow up test then read for another subject then pre test then lecture and so on
      Combine passive and actife studying

    • @SwaggyEsq
      @SwaggyEsq  Год назад +2

      Hi Steven! I studied my outlines in the 3rd shift of my day (I.e, after I was done doing active studying like essays/MBES). So I used this time to work on more passive studying while my brain was winding down and reviewing my answers from the essays/MBEs.

      @SwaggyEsq  Год назад +1

      Appreciate the support here! For month 2, I would do a mix of all the MBEs every day. For the essay subjects, I would do 2 contracts and 2 torts (from your example above). So I would split the essays into the 2 subjects I was reviewing that day.

    • @SwaggyEsq
      @SwaggyEsq  Год назад

      Completely agree with you here! The sample answers shouldn’t be seen as “bible” per se. In some instances there can be missed issues and whatnot. But what it does show is what the graders are generally looking for and the main issues to hit in that particular fact pattern. It’s a good starting point if you’re completely lost in how to answer an essay question. This is why it’s so important to read A LOT of the sample answers so you can craft your own essay attack outlines. Just my opinion though and what also helped me! 😁🙏🏽
