After this event hope ya’ll start that emergency fund that again EVERYONE should have had. Whatever, I’m taking to air at this point. People will be the same after this is over. Not caring about tomorrow or preparing for the unknowns. I’m sorry for those who are truly suffering. These people are not.
i agree 100%. i have always had an emergency fund of 6 months of living expenses and 6 months worth of food at home. i am decently wealthy now, but i had those preparations at age 19 when i was making minimum wage.
Have you ever thought that this man may have a bookkeeper, or other employees, maintenence, and has already put thousands of dollars on product for his store already, that he cannot return. He has a house note, along with car note, child care bills, that he has to pay monthly, whether or not the children go. He has to pay the monthly childcare fee to keep their place. @ Me, that’s who yeah... probably that family has some extra food in their pantry to add on... maybe they use coupons to get more things at lower price or they just eat really small portions.
How is he getting $450/month lease when payments are made weekly and $600/week is added to their normal weekly amount approved from the CARES relief fund. This is more than most of these people make while working.
First off, you're shopping for vegetables in the organic section and complaining you can't afford juice. Then you buy your kids lemonade which is 80% pure sugar. You can get 100% juice concentrate for half the price. Better yet. Drink water. It's better for your kids. And ok. @@MrSurfsagger If you do the math, they lost approximately $800 a month because of his unemployment. With a family that size, that's likely their food bill. And daycare expenses are about $200-$300 a week for their youngest. Seems to me, they would be breaking even. So they obviously were struggling before this happened. Based on what I saw, they overspend on groceries alone. So it comes down to poor money management.

I was thinking the same too when I saw all the Apple products. There is clear mismanagement of money here: they have lots of nice things but much of the $ spent on all that excess could've been put in a rainy day emergency fund. We have a challenging road ahead. We must be realistic, strategic, yet hopeful at the same time. Once things open up, it will not automatically go back 100% to what it was like before...it could take months, even over a year. Why does having a hard time mean you have to look like you’re hanging on by a thread? These people had jobs up until a month ago. That means they could pay for those things. Why is it that the people that was well off instantly go for unemployment. I’d just start looking for more work .
Because there is a pandemic outside you dumbass! How clueless are you????
I'm lucky enough to still have a job. I work for a grocery store as a customer service manager. It's just my partner and I and it's a struggle for us. I can only imagine the struggle with kids. He was laid off, so now it's just me paying for everything. I never thought that I would have to be the sole breadwinner and its basically paycheck to paycheck. Everyone has a struggle.

Covind-19 is the Worst possible thing to go through with a young family. I am an American living in Australia and it is just scrapping along from day to day. Your Faith in Jesus will be tested by this. I would send Cash if I knew how to reach you.
@Roger Wilco I do agree with you. I have had Blood Cancer for 15 years and if I did not treat it every month that would be it for me. There is no treatment for Covind-19 and it is just the way it is. But my heart goes out to all people. We are all in this together.
Jesus is in hiding right now and so are the others like Allah, Jehovah, etc, etc. They will come out to perform "miracles" once this is all over. You're Welcome!
@Roger Wilco Haha!
4 kids?!?!? That is their own fault. And shame on them. The world is overpopulated. This video had me feeling the opposite of empathy.

I don't have children and anybody who depends on me , so that's one of the reasons I am able to keep things moving for me.
I hope you have some sympathy for the less fortunate and give a helping hand.
I pray for these people💗

So sorry to hear! Don't stress please, big hugs, stressing doesn't improve anything.
Follow his lead.
So you didn’t create a life that could weather these storms. You lived beyond your means and now we’re supposed to feel sorry for you? Living within your means means preparing for these situations too, not just today’s needs. We paid off our house during the pandemic because we saved before this and decided for future security we would get rid of our very last debt. We are completely debt free so if either of us or both lose our jobs we can still go for 3 years before needing to get new jobs. You did it to yourself. I only feel bad for those who were in poverty before this pandemic. They are the true sad story.
Instead of the lemonade he should've gotten sugar and lemon juice he could've stretched it a little more
Laila W Or go to the aisle. There’s juice 1/2 the price of that one he picked. People need to relearn how to buy.
Even cheaper just my crystal light or milo make gallons of it from your own water. Store bought Lemonade is so overpriced and easy alternatives.
Just like they can make waffles from scratch, I don't feel sorry for them ppl need to learn to do things for themselves. If they think their ancestors would be proud that they totally rely on the grocery store for lemonade and waffles..... How embarrassing for them 😂
Elani Nyh Agreed. The no waffle situation could’ve been turned into a positive one for the sake of his child. No waffles? Let’s make French toast or pancakes together!! Don’t highlight the negative to your kids, specially when their worlds have been turned upside down. I wish I could work from home at this time and cook with my son.

@Ron Goldman How the hell can he open the economy when thousands of people are dying every day. They still don't have enough testing or ppe for healthcare workers. Yesterday we had the highest number of deaths in America. Lives are more important than jobs right now which is why we are all in Quarantine.
@Ron Goldman that orange idiot is the reason we have this problem to begin with. If he had simply manned up and acted like a leader for the first time in his life instead of his usual whining and lying, we could have opened the country by now. He is directly responsible for things in the US being as bad as they are.

My heart goes out to the couple... but....look at your home! That’s not how I live... I have a comfortable home but most would not think much of my house. I live within my means which means I always put money in savings every month. I drive a 12 year old rusty dented car. In 2006 I lost my business, lost my home and I let 13 employees go. I started over! CONSERVATIVE as hell! I Bought a dumpy house, drive a dumpy car, and I save every extra penny I can! I’m not rich by any stretch of the imagination but After the Great Recession I’ve lived a life of preparedness for the next event and I’m ready for this... I can weather this storm OK.
Well done Ben. Same here. I'm not even conservative but just like you, the Great Recession taught me to be frugal and save every extra penny. Most people didn't learn a lesson from the Great Recession. Sigh!
Trump yesterday: “I was brutalized by the press.” You know what’s brutal? Needing a ventilator, not having access to one. Needing a #coronavirus test, not being able to get one. Needing a mask, a gown, a face shield, not getting them. Losing your job. Dying alone. That’s brutal. Barbara Malmet
