Although there are many natural challenges such as ticks, it is worth it because you can photograph various species of birds by the river. What beautiful photos you have produced. Thank you for sharing with us. Big LIKE from me. I am a new friend from Singapore. Happy birding.👍🔔
Congratulations on the Kingfisher shots Darren, but photos before video. You can tell us what we missed and with your enthusiasm it will be just as good as seeing it. I really liked the other shots as well.
Great video Darren! Love your approach, inspiring me to get out and try some of your tips. Enjoyed the music as well, nicely edited in between b-roll and on camera clips. Congrats on the kingfisher and that 5 hour wait for the dipper was well worth it! Brilliant!
About time you uploaded again HAHA. You got a great variety of Birds Darren Kingfisher, Yellow wagtail, Teecreeper and more.. Hope to see more in 2023, Happy and healthy new year to you and your family, 💯📸📸
You were like a kid in a candy shop. Love your enthusiasm. Great photos as well. Kingfishers and sapsuckers (creepers as we call them) are hard to get. Well done. Happy New Year to you and yours.
Your patience was well rewarded, great images but for me the tree creepers take it. Every time I try and shoot them its as if they know and hop round the other side of the tree.
@@DarrenKnightPhoto Darren a couple of my recent videos have a few bird images, some Hummingbird shots in my video make the most of what you have, not a great video but the shots are good, also my latest video has a few bird images captured at the local park. Also one of the hummer images was a finalist in the igpoty competition last year in the wildlife section.Would be a nice comp for some of your garden bird stuff.
Hi Darren, I know I am recently bereaved and my head is elsewhere, but have I missed couple of seasons this year! Not a wildlife photographer, not got your patience by a long chalk. The bird at the end of the video made me "titter" what a lovely little bottom dancing jive it was performing. Great video and the images were edited to perfection as they matched the video edit well too. Happy New Year to you and the family.
4:05 hi you can see it the kingfisher is using that branch.....where the kingfisher is sitting there is no " green moss " on the branch! That's my way to look for kingfishers !! I hope it helps you......greetings from Germany.
Great to see another vlog been a long time and what a great vlog it was, some terrific photos, patience is often very rewarding. Great New Year to You and Yours.
Lovely images Darren, perfect end to the year. Wouldn’t it be lovely if Lyme and the other diseases didn’t exist so we didn’t have to worry about ticks. Usually bracken, long grass or leaf litter is the worst. Have a great 2023!
I think I got most of them when I sat against a tree to photograph the red squirrels. The doctor put me on antibiotics when I got home as a precaution Best wishes for the new year 🍺
Morning Robin, Haweswater was a great location and I’d highly recommend it, however not all the images were taken there but they all came from the trip. Happy new year bud 🍺
Good to see you out and about again Darren. I love the relaxed feel of this vlog, and the images you got were gorgeous. Looking forward to yor dipper vlog in January. Happy New Year.
Hi Darren, It was great to see you back. Beautiful pictures as usual. Happy New Year mate. I love Dippers, I spent a week at Easter this year down in South Wales on the river Honddu, photographing Dippers, and was lucky enough to see three fledglings. I watched them being fed every day. I hope we will see more of you in 2023.
Morning Steve, I’m out with Gary Norman at the end of the month to photograph the dippers and so hopefully we’ll both have a video to share. Happy new year bud 🍺
Your patience was well rewarded. I've been where I am for the past 18 years and only got to see kingfishers last year. I think because the river was low and the trout parr were all congregating. You'd think with that iridescent colour you'd spot them all the time. Nice to see you out and about again; hopefully a bit more now you've settled into your new job. You could always turn your hand to street photography ... or train spotting 😁
Morning Iain, The new job and trying to fit our new kitchen over the coming weekends are slowing down the photography but I’m aiming to travel once a month for a shoot. Happy new year bud 🍺
I've been inspired to go lay on some rocks for a few hours ! Dippers are something I haven't caught on camera yet. Just being out there trying is sometimes reward enough.
So glad to see you back. Your images are great and just reward for your patience. It would be nice to see more content if you are in the mood and have the time. I have missed your dulcet tones and enthusiasm. Being a local your language is music to my ears.
Thank you, very much appreciated I’m just going through a period in my life where free time is extremely limited but I’m hoping to start vlogging again once we move into spring. Happy new year bud 👍🏻
I know you have not stopped photography but its nice to see you back out with the video camera. I used to use what3words and similar to mark locations but like you found the mobile signal in many locations is not great, i got myself a Garmin GPS unit for exactly this reason, i can navigate to a car park in the car and then it will gude me on foot to the exact location i have marked its accurate to around 10ft most of the time, would not be without one now. I admire your patience and it certainly paid off, im no wildlife photographer at all but the kingfisher shots were beautiful , such a colourful bird. Enjoyed that, all the best and best wishes for the New Year, take care !
It's good to see you back. Your video reminded me of my attempts to photograph a kingfisher last year. I spent ages going to different places and I found a perfect spot just like yours. There was a fallen tree in the middle of the river and I sat there waiting for a kingfisher. When I was checking settings on my camera one landed on the tree and I couldn't move because it would have flown off. Later in the year I went to another location and as soon as I got there I saw a kingfisher catch a fish and land on a nearby branch. I stayed there all morning watching it feed. It was the best time ever. I only wish I had the longer lens though. I have the 100-400GM. All the best for the new year!
Morning Karl, You certainly need to be patient for wildlife photography but when you have those moments, it all pays off. Good work bud and happy new year 🍺
Happy New Year to you fella. All the best. I went through a phase of shooting wildlife and in particular Butterfly and Dragonfly. It became an obsession but what I found is, like yourself, you start to understand your subjects and can predict where they will be, what they will do etc its more than photography, it becomes and education :)
Nice video, definitely have more patients than myself. I see you've been splurging the cash on the A1, the PubCast videos must be doing well with the monetisation lol 🤣🤣🤣

Great to see you back, lovely photos, I have been photography kingfishers myself recently, such a fulfilling subject when it starts to happen.
They are beautiful birds for sure but I much prefer dippers. I love their characters

Yeah with the add revenue from the Pubcast the A1 should be bought and paid for by 2123 😂
Happy new year bud 🍺
Sound too low. Really can't hear you
Maybe turn up the volume?
