I'm writing this for future reference, I'm listening to this whilst on holiday with my ex and my daughter in Blackpool but back to the show, very good but anything with Ray Malland has got to be good and I hope I spelt his name right which I don't think I have? Anyway enjoy!!!
It's Milland. Great idea you writing a note for future reference. I might do this too. So I can recall when I've heard a show before, yet my old-ish brain has forgotten. Lol
@@jaceek2030 hi I thought people may find it odd me writing something as a reminder so in the future I can go back and recall what special thing I did on a certain date and I'm honoured that u think it worthy enough to copy and I hope it reminds u of happy times in the future!! Thanks again and happy listening oh and ta for picking up on the error on my spelling of Ray Milland and he had such a distinctive voice and manner in his acting, a true legend!!! All the best Jacee K
@@simonmcgrath4112 I'm finding if someone thinks I'm weird, they're probably right. Tho in our family we call it "unique".😁 Not to mention everyone has a quirk or 2. I honestly couldn't recall for sure if it was Milland with 1 L or 2. So I googled it. Lol Cheers!
@@jaceek2030 oh you cheated using Google but it comes in so handy every now and then but I always try to use my portable Google first and if I'm stumped then I'll use it!! Take care and unique is good just like u say in ur house!!
@@simonmcgrath4112 Yep! Hey, at least I'm honest in that I wasn't sure if it had 2 Ls, so I looked it up to be sure. Tho I was right before I checked.. I grew up with a mom who is a HUGE old movie buff..so if I hadn't been right I'd be a disgrace. Haha!
Air Date:09.08.1949 ( September 8, 1949) Plot:+ "Chicken Feed". Sponsored by: Auto-Lite. An exciting story about a man who has all kinds of exciting experiences because of a nickel...and his lack of one. The story was subsequently produced on "Suspense" on October 7, 1954 and on April 21, 1957. + He had just pulled up in to Lansing when he saw the sign, Go slow and see our town, go slow and see our jail. He pulled over for a cup of coffee and then discovered that he’s forgotten his wallet after leaving following a row with his wife over giving their son a nickel, and he didn’t have a dime on him. Unable to pay for the coffee, a police officer in the café at the time asks him for his licence but this was also in his wallet. The Officer takes him to the police station and when he tries to ring his wife, still mad at him she won’t take his call. He asks for a nickel to ring his wife again but the officer says he’s had his call and puts him in jail on the grounds of suspicion. He ends up in jail all because he didn’t have one lousy nickel… www.oldtimeradiodownloads.com/thriller/suspense/chicken-feed-1949-09-08

Just a typo, but in case someone is reading. The sign in the little town of Lansing said, "Go slow and see our town, go fast and see our jail."
Xx
Autolite and it's 96,000 dealers??? REALLY!? Way back then??? Seems like a little exaggeration hahaha! Is that false advertising?
