As a black mother, I love that. I wouldn’t care who my two angel kids bring home (yes they’re grown, but will always be my babies❤️), If they are worthy and love my angels it’s all good. Truly, there are so many good attributes in all races. I thank my mom and dad for teaching that to me.

What is forever? See it's about sex. Black men saw how white men was doing black females during slavery and afterwards and wanted to join in the fun white men was having with his race of women. So In order to have sex, he had to date, white men never had to date black women for sex. So today sistas feel honored that the white man is now taking her out it public.

Marriage is not mankind’s panacea. Human beings are not solely generated for “marriage” or “children”. We are not merely just carnal (physical) entities. There’s a multitude of “Black Women need to know their worth” comments or “black men genetics need to be extinct” comments. Let’s have an adult, non-emotional, fact-based conversation about their “worth”. What have black women pioneered or contributed to mankind? Roads? Technological innovations? What exactly? I’ll wait. I can see excuses coming from a mile away. Many are like Torie. Empty, shallow, narcissistic, vain, inauthentic -- with ridiculous hashtags all over social media, such as “blackgirlmagic” or “melaninated” etc (primarily fake hair and beauty products) -- clear indicators of discomfort towards what they should be naturally.
They frequently hypocritically call other women “becky”. Many black american and african women are intrinsically psychologically unhealthy. Even white friends confide that to me. They seek unhealthy validation by the media and social media. Uncomfortable with their true essence, they can’t help but cater to the others’ approval of them.

I’m in an interracial marriage. We’ve been married for 13 years. The staring will never end. We’ve had people come up to us in public places and feel they had a right to express their displeasure of seeing us together. I’ve been let go from a job for it. yes but as a blk woman, i can say that my white friends are swimmers and my black friends are not. One is not better than the other. i just think learning to swim is more of a priority in the white community. there are priorities in the black community as well that my white friends don't typically learn like double dutch, hopscotch, spades etc. Im not speaking for all but most.
Just a few days ago, I was at the mall with my white boyfriend. Mind you, I’m biracial. My father is mixed and mom is black. This guy kept staring at us while we were eating in the food court and when my boyfriend left to go to the bathroom, he came over and told me that I’m wrong for being with my boyfriend because my next generation of kids will be completely white and that I was messing up the black family/agenda by diluting it even more... it bothered me and of course I went off on him.
However through thick and thin, no matter what I won’t leave my boyfriend. He fights for me and I will fight for him. What matters is that he loves, respects, cares for and treats me with compassion. He’s the most loving and gentle person I’ve ever been with. Love is love and it shouldn’t matter what skin color you are. It shouldn’t matter the gender, creed or sexuality.

Yeah my preference is white guys/Italians/Canadians/etc but that is because THEY accept me for how I look versus black men that picks on me and disses me on my looks so I decided to date out my race because I want to be with someone that I feel comfortable with about my insecurities and I want to be with someone that is okay with me not being as attractive as a Beyoncé, Rihanna, etc. So I'm glad you stated that Torie. It would be great if people realized that your preference isn't a rejection of others. You guys are very mature and handle this topic well. I have been with my husband going on 18yrs and it is not an issue between us. I don't care about race, I care about who loves me and will treat me like they can appreciate me for me.
I am in an interracial marriage going on 43 years. People would ask me why I did not marry someone black, I would tell them the heart knows what the heart wants and he happened to be the one I feel in love with and he with me. My family is so bi-racially mixed that it is like the United Nation. It has gotten better from when we got married but still needs to get better.💜

I hate when White people say about Black people:"he/she is rather articulate or she seems intelligent" as though the white person cant believe any Black person could be intelligent. You have issues if you Always date White men. It's one thing to date white men as a Black woman because you just happened to meet someone you liked who happened to be white, but when you date White men exclusively, then perhaps you need to do some soul searching. I'm sure this felt like a slap in the face to your Black father. And listening to your white boy friend say he told his father that he is dating someone "different" was cringe-worthy.
Swimming, it depends on where you are from. Where I'm from most of the kids knew how to swim because it was mainly what we did in the summer. However if you grew up in the city and swimming pools were not accessible then it's not surprising you wouldn't know how to swim. It's about accessibility, it's not weird as you stated that a lot of Blacks have an aversion toward swimming. That would if the neighborhood had a swimming pool.

Being that I'm a BW and I am married a white man for 14yrs, I can totally relate to the negative things others have tried to subject you to Torie. We both had choices to chose what we are attracted to which was our business. It's the reason I stare too because I find it beautiful and I think that interracial couples have to be strong and like minded to deal with the negativity that comes with them being together. My hat goes off to them. It's not easy but true love strenthens.

I’m currently dating a Indian man, I usually dated white guys so this is new for me..I’m in SC we constantly get stares which is funny because I didn’t go through this while dating white men..the cultural difference is crazy but we’re 8 months strong...he looks like Aladdin with blue eyes..I don’t think people know his race by looking at him but the stares are kinda starting to piss me off

I am a black woman and my husband is white, we met in college and we have been married for 10 years now and have 2 little boys. I can diffinatly relate to you guys. it is really annoying when we go out to dinner or at the grocery store people would always ask if we are together or if we paying separately, even when we both wearing our rings and our kids are with us. I know it's a problem because none of our same race couple friends have that issue.

I've been in an interracial marriage for almost 9 years (we've been together for a total 19 years) I'm black and he is white. Now we live in Atlanta GA and get dirty looks mostly from white women, too. We totally ignore it with ease now. Funny thing is my stepmother is white. She and my father married in the late 70s in Alabama! I can imagine the looks or reponse when people saw here with me.

My husband and I have been together for close to 6 years. I’m black and he’s white, and I totally agree. Being together for so long you don’t necessarily forget that he’s a different color but it’s such a minute thing for us that when we do get stares it’s the most frustrating thing ever! We actually live in Houston! The craziest thing that happened to us was we were told by an elderly white lady that we were disgusting! I was very pregnant with my first child and stunned into silence! We both were! America has come so far, but we still have so much farther to go! Beautiful couple btw!

In some areas, we're fine, but in others it's a real problem. Sorry about your experience in Houston. America has definitely come far, but there is still a bit of progress to go. My son and daughter-in-law are in a interracial relationship.. they also live in Texas... it don't bother me 1 bit b/c they gave me 3 beautiful grandbabies... for me it don't matter what race my kids date as long as they are happy I'm happy... Travis appears to be a nice guy - that said, let's put the whole "don't see color" ridiculousness to bed. It's not helpful to 'the conversation' and it's intellectually dishonest. We ALL see color, and there's nothing wrong with that. We just do - and to pretend otherwise suggests that there's a problem in recognizing one another for our differences/ethnicities/race(s). Surely that isn't what you mean? Dr. King never stated that we should pretend 'not' to recognize one another's color BUT to NOT JUDGE based on one's skintone -- yet, rather the CONTENT of their CHARACTER. The point is to recognize the beauty in one another, regardless of complexion, and to not PREJUDGE or extend BIAS based on it. The whole #COLORBLIND concept is bullsheit and as I mentioned earlier, unhelpful.
Well it's obvious that he meant race race wasn't a consideration when it comes to allowing people into their lives so I think not seeing color works just fine. I grew up in a religion where race was never a factor to the point where I was in the first grade before I ever even knew there was such a thing. I didn't see color. It wasn't taught to me until much later. I would say my first year of middle school was eye opening. I was fortunate to grow up in an environment where it just wasn't a factor...in Texas even. I grew up in a religion where we were all family...not in a David Koresh type way...and attended a daycare and elementary school that never told us we needed to look at skin color. It is possible not to see color... until society shows it to you. It's environmental not natural.

The harm is pretending not to while pre-judging based on skin tones. Despite what you say, we notice one anothers uniquenesses and differences - and that's fine. Again, NOTICING isn't thee issue. Pre-JUDGING based on it, is.

I have dated different races but I feel like I’m more attracted to white guys... my family and friends don’t mind... but it’s hard to date because it seems like guys try to “hide” me because of my race... which sucks. But when I watch your videos it just reminds me that it’s just the guy who sucks! Historically, we were never afforded the opportunities to do so. 400 years of slavery in the United States didn’t afford us the luxury...maybe different in caribbean. But getting back to African Americans, segregation also played a huge role. No one was investing in public pools for us and as y’all know we weren’t allowed to jump in “white” public pools, if that makes any sense (cause they were for the public😬), thus lack of large majority of folk that fear or just were never exposed to swimming.

As an International Student in Europe, I saw a large number of interracial couples which definitely made me HAPPY!!! All across France and Germany, this was the norm. Three female classmates kept Freaking Out because they were getting hit on by white guys, and they said they hadn't experienced that here in America. Time is changing, and I am glad more interracial couples are GROWING!!!
I dont know people make it a big deal as far as race is concerned but men are going to be attracted to women. Some people are attracted to others because they look different but that's the beauty of it. Each person is unique and we are all human beings at the ends of the day. I'm from London U.K. interracial couples are so common its More accepted don't get me wrong there's always going be small minded people racism will never be eradicated. But it's seem to be big issue in America who you date. You don't need to justify who you fall love with. I really believe life is so short we can't let people dictate our lives. There always going to be people with their opinions and looking ignore the haters you come across has a lovely couple.
Aww, thanks so much. It's a little unpredictable here in America. How people treat us as an interracial couple usually depends on where we are at the time. It is getting better, but of course, there are people who still don't like it here in Texas. We just ignore it and go about our daily lives. We love each other so that is all that matters. @Suad Ali yes bcos those cities are predominantly white, so of course people will notice a non-white person. What the couple are talking about in the video seems to be about people having negative reactions & comments directly to them. Even in Somerset and Bristol, I don't think many people will come up to an interacial couple and give their negative comment/expression directly to them. The original commenter did not suggest that their is no racism in the UK, but makes a valid point imo, that fewer people will gawk and make direct comments here in the UK. Also, not every stare or second glance is coming from a place of dissaproving feelings, sometimes it's just 'difference/contrast' that people notice (and you would get that in most countries I believe). Interacial dating is a more intense concern in the US I think partly due to history.
I think Travis meant that he and his family don’t see color in that way. To not see color is to be blind to the issues black and brown people face. We know you meant that you see and love beyond the boundaries of race, but just know that it’s important to add those few words when discussing race outside of your family. We love you guys! 💜✊🏽👑
