His dad gave him a great advice. Know that you're going to see and do things that that you could never imagine...
I was never in the military. I missed Nam by a month. But I lived and worked in Ireland during "The Troubles".
Later joined law enforcement and am now retired. Saw and did things no human being should have to do or witness...
    Choose wisely my friends...
I loved his book. A very good read.

First off, allow me to thank all of you guys for your service. I have nothing but respect for anyone who had the guts to join and do the things that needed to be done. And thanks to BRCC for bringing guys like Clint Romesha on and allowing them to tell of their service. Hero's all, as far as I'm concerned.
I am not a vet but there is one thing that just drives me nuts, when people refer to the MOH as the "congressional..." The fact that they approve it and are associated with it in the mind of the people is bad enough and it breaks my heart to hear vets refer to that way.

Excellent video... I have only met one MOH Recipient, WWII Veteran John D. Hawk... I was simply collecting donations for the VFW when I rang his door... What was to be a simple hand shake and thank you turned into an hour of stories...
His were of course from WWII, and mine were from being a Sergeant in the Washington Army National Guard before 9/11... Before I was in Iraq, so all I had was coffee lattes heated from the exhaust on an M1A1, mixed with cocoa and shelf life forever milk... Emmy Award winning stuff compared to a genuine Hero...
He offered me a beer, but I was on (civilian) duty... Now that he's passed, I wish I could go back and split a 6 pack...

The thing I notice and respect about the BRCC operation is in this conversation, is Sgt Romesha is speaking with eye contact. Veteran to veteran, as where that didn’t happen with the CBS interview.

    • @user-td1zo3tv9p
      @user-td1zo3tv9p 6 лет назад +1

Hard to look another person in the eye, one you have NO respect for as in the case of the media pukes, versus a fellow Veteran, regardless of what they did MOS-wise.
With the media you need to play nice in the hopes you can achieve YOUR agenda (sell your book or whatever) and USE them for YOUR Goals. You just hope they don't butcher the interview and Cherry pick parts to make a story that is pure bullshit (!!) and anything OTHER than the truth!
USE the media to get America back on the path to greatness.
Other than that they are a massive (!!) POS existence and on par with Bottom-Feeder lawyers IMO.

    I served.
    I came.
    I saw.
I got fucked up (physically and with booze...go figger).
I got out and did my thing and am now (medically) retired because of my military injuries, but as an old Fuck, I have to admit I am ALWAYS I awe of Men and Women like this MOH Recipient and it (kinda/sorta/almost always) brings on the eyeball leakage to hear and see these unassuming people speak.
They don't seek out accolades (well, not too many do) or the limelight for their own personal gain and I am humbled by their existence!
Thank you, Sir(s), for your Service to our Great Nation.
If I ever get to meet you I'd truly like to shake your hands.
While MY service (Cold War "Warrior" HAH!) was pretty much non-descript, I appreciate those who have gone on to do great things with their lives.
God Bless you and your families.

Here's my fun fact. I worked at the same company as this guy in North Dakota, I saw him in passing a few times and I saw fiddlers green on a wall in the safety office. Me being a fellow cavalry scout asked who was a scout and another safety guy said, "oh that's Clint's." "I am getting ready to fly out because he is receiving the MoH."
Of course me talking to a civilian who may have misunderstood what was going on I brushed it off thinking, " yeaaaah right."
I never heard a word about his story until he had left the company but worked with his father in law up until the day I left myself. Never got a chance to meet and talk to the man but I have always heard great things and that he is a humble man. His father in law is also a great guy.
I am glad to see him doing well and that he hangs amongst the Black rifle guys and Matt Best, my favorite RUclips video producers.

Romeshea, and driving him to a couple events when he was in Canton, Ohio as a featured guest along with other fellow veterans that received the M.O.H., for The Patriot Project. It’s held every year as a Black Tie Event to help as a fund raiser for state of the art chiopractic care for veterans. Clint was very graceful to speak with & always took whatever time was needed to speak with myself or anyone else for that matter. Never the “hurry up I gotta go type at all”! Good Day to You!

Not only that but to have the balls to assault the taken parts of his base to reclaim the whole damn thing and put a "V" up on the board for the Coalition troops... Unbelievable. Raw courage on full display, none of it bravado, no glory-seeking, just guts. God bless 'em.

I'm hoping that I get off work a little bit early today and have enough time to go over to Scheels in the Coral Ridge Mall here in Coralville Iowa. Why you might ask? well that is the only place that I can find Black Rifle coffee other than on internet. Then I could order it online but I'm down to one or two days in my old bag of coffee. Goes about 1 a week. So I need to get out get over there and get my Black Rifle coffee but wanted to explain why I go out and get it. True it would be easy to go pick up some generic crap at Walmart or whatever but you guys stand for the veterans. That's exactly why I make the extra trip and shell out a couple dollars extra. The bonus is it's great coffee and I really enjoy it more than anything I've been getting for a while. So keep up the good work
