  • Today we just transplant a banana plant, and get rid of a few suckers. Nothing more, nothing less.

I love how you say you have no clue what you're doing, this way as a newbie I can learn from your "mistakes". I live in central New York in the country but not as beautiful as where you live! We have a few feet of snow so I'm dreaming of warmer weather and what I will plant in my garden! This will be my 3rd year gardening, I have 2 raised beds and put in a flower bed last summer. I'm hoping to expand each year and try new things. My biggest issue is finding things I like. I grew 2 types of tomatoes and sugar snap peas last year but hated the taste of all. I also grew zucchini, broccoli, corn, green beans, bell peppers that were good, and I tried growing potatoes in buckets but that didn't work out too well. I think this year I'll try ordering from seed catalogs instead of buying seeds/plants from stores. Loving your channel..hope you'll have time to keep videos coming :) Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you too! :-) So fun to hear your story. I have also been gardening for three years. I hope I can bring inspiration to you, and make sure you don't fall into all the traps I do, hehe. Love New York, and please let me know what you plan to grow this coming season! If you have any ideas on what I should grow, please let me know.

I had to start using grow bags instead of pots they use them for weed plants they work really good they hold the water they got really good air circulation and they're made out of cloth lightweight

You should get jalapeno plants warm. They like to be hot. Try to get your banana trees outside in the summer.

by looking at the leaves(red color) it looks like the type we called it "pisang tanduk" literally translate as horn banana.. It should produce a type of giant banana. I plant bananas and the really sucks alot of nutrient from the soils. Good luck!

Cut a few banana leaves and soak in a container for a few days. Water the base of the plant. It will stink, but has great results for leaf growth.

Depends on how large you want the banana to get. I used a very large pot in the end. You can see it in one of my other banana videos.

that is not mold, et is a pattern on the leaf of this variety. look at the older leaves, they are healthy green.
