I love GAO, I wonder why people smell plastic in it. I feel it’s a very high quality Oud , made fresher by a very well blended aromatic start. But as this mix is very unusual I guess few people can really enjoy it.
Of the Oud Stars lineup, Mamluk remains my favourite. The opening is a tiny bit rank, but the dry-down is intoxicating. Performance is off the charts. Sounds like GAO is much the same in that regard. Having grown up in North Africa my nose is probably a llttle more attuned to Oud than most Westerners. Ceylon is quite nice too, as is Alexandria II. I have a sample of GAO and look forward to trying it. Kai's right about Xerjoff's presentation though - they take.a back seat to no one.
Hello and thank you for your review. Pro tip: your video would be less chatty if you stop repeating that its chatty. :) What is your opinion on Fars, Malesia and Indochine? Thanks.
Good review! I love GAO and just ordered A2 .. however .... Al-Khait and some other Oud stars do give a very distinct fecal (barn type) odor on my skin. Go figure ))
Hey, thanks! I've heard people say this about Al-Khatt a couple of times! However, the scent is just very sweet to me and I can't smell anything barn like. Same goes for Leather Oud by Dior, which I own.
@@realkaiporten i get alot of sweetness on my skin from al khatt , but also get that barn yard mixed in. To me it smells like having sex in a barn after a carnival has been in there the night before 😂

In my opinion it smells like a old wooden book very interesting.
It does smells like plastic but it’s not disgusting I like it

Hi Greg I was wondering what you think about Al Khat? Some people say that it's unbearable. In comparison to Mamluk?
Is it (Mamluk) similar to B540?
Don't know B540. @@troecurov3
Don't know Al khat either. Mamluk is, IMO, one of a kind.@@troecurov3
Great review, i have 3 vintage bottles of GAO, I love it a lot, if you like GAO I recommend hayat by kemi which I have 3 bottles, great juice 😎👍
