Reminding why I absolutely love Lawful Good-like characters. And Ashrah is one of the most prominent among my favorites of the alignment!

Ashrah: yes
Actually, she's still a demon but will become fully none soon after she purified her soul. Fallen angel (angel turn bad) banish from heaven and reside in hell like lucifer, so ashrah is like risen demon (demon turn good).
Ashrah was the best written character in mk1 the design, Voice Acting, and the face model perfect

I love how lowkey wholesome she is
The fact that Ashrah asked Shang Tsung if he was born in the Netherrealm shows just how evil the man is. A demon thought a mortal was another demon; that's hilariously foul!
Even when given a humble origin, Shang Tsung had no problem toying with the desperation of others for profit, the opening scene of MK1 made it rather clear that the man is just rotten at his core.
The beginning of the game showed that the guy was always a rotten egg even when not a scheming sorcerer
Shang Tsung can rival the likes of Kano, Shao, and Shinnok when it comes to how evil he can be. The man only cares about himself and how to obtain as much power as possible.
He's what happens when greed and ambition are over maxed out in a person.

I love Ashrah from Deception and now that she returns on MK1 I'm totally happy that they gave her a very great story.
Hoping that on the next MK she will be more human and already absolve from her sins as a demon.
I thought she’ll become an ascended being beyond a mortal, a Goddess of Light (an Angel).
Against other villains: "You have done so much wrong, repent, or die!"
Against Nitara: *Racially charged*

I suspect it's more the kris talking than Ashrah.
Remember, the Kriss was specifically made to hunt Vaternians.
I fell in love with Ashrah’s design and was happy when she got her own chapter in the story mode.
So, base on her and Geras dialogue, Ashrah will eventually become pure, to attain complete absolution. Therefore, she will become mortal with no traces of being demon.
Master Kai…it appears Liu Kang’s protégé is now a master in the New Era.

I love the fact that Ashrah is voiced by the same voice actress of Wonder Woman from the Justice League animated series Susan Eisenberg
Funny, Johnny Cage actually references that to her.
I love how everyone, including Ashrah accepts and supports Mileena and Tanya's relationship. The fight intro I'm talking about is at 3:29.

I'm so happy I can look up character interaction videos now and not have to see 7 seconds of characters doing flips before talking

She is voiced by same actress who voiced Wonder Woman in Justice League Animated Series that's why Johnny says her Wonder, Woman
I didn’t know Ashrah was a scalie.
I love her design, love her fighting style, love her story in general and LOVE that she's here. But uh… are we not gonna talk about how she thinks killing other demons to purify herself is fine? This feels like a bug when it should be a feature. I really want them to explore this, there's so much potential here.
Her story is pretty much the same from deception.
Ashrah is the "bug". She's one of the few demons in MK that are interested in doing good. Previous timeline Quan-Chi was also an ascended demon, but he chose to just be an evil sorceror.

I wonder if Master Kai will be a playable in the future
the way they do mileena x tanya and ashrah x syzoth comforts me so much after following Apex Legends' lore. This is how you do romance when it's not the main point of the story, not just randomly shove characters kissing and aggressively flirting when you say "thanks" in-game
I honestly don’t really like some of the lore of Apex just because of that. I do agree with you on the MK situation
@dazzledmarmot711 to be completely fair there isn't much lore besides Loba and Revenant shenanigans anymore, maybe a bit of Octane vs Lifeline. They seem to have completely forgotten about Mirage, Vantage and most importantly Ash
It would be interesting to see more Netherrealm demons following Ashrah's example, once her quest for absolution is complete
She's like an angel from heaven disguised as a demon and her lines are almost biblical telling the fighters to stop doing evil things, I think the intro with Tanya and Mileena need to change saying this to Tanya, Ashrah: "Your love with Mileena is an act of pure evil!"
Tanya: Why's that Ashrah!?"
Ashrah: It's an abomination to Lord Liu Kang!"

I dunno if this has to do with the fact she's voiced by Susan Eisenberg, but Ashrah's is definitely this timeline's Wonder Woman. So it makes me wonder why Injustice can't do the same for all their characters. (Yes, it's an Elseworlds' story, but it could've been written a hell of a lot better)

Ashrah sounds like a character from the bible because she's kills demons with her kriss, looking for redemption and healing, she tells the other fighters to repent from evil and control your inner Demons, Ashrah should've said this to Tanya " There's evil between Mileena and you Tanya!"
Tanya : Why!? Is there something wrong between me and Mileena!?"
Ashrah: Yes it's an abomination to this Lord named Jesus Christ!" Her outfit is kinda like the armor of God without the helmet, she's the angel who fights against evil by putting the armor of God like ephesians 6:10-18

I think their relationship won't last long, because they're both very busy and living in different realms.
@@furballrage595Lui Kang and Kitana still have their relationship even though both of them are keepers of time in their respective timeline and many eons have passed. They even managed to kiss. So, it might ends the same with Syzoth and Ashrah, still in contact despite their responsibilities in different realms.
