- Today, I will be showing you how I made a dragonfly using standard sized clothespins from Dollar Tree. With easy instructions, this sweet dragonfly will not bust your budget coming in at just over $1 to make.

I'm totally making this like today! I'm taking care of my 96- soon to be 97 year old mom, who lives on the beautiful South Branch Ausable River in Northern MI. There are dragon flies everywhere! They are so beautiful, colourful and graceful. I only hope I can do their true beauty justice! Thank you for the inspiration sweet lady! God Bless!
On the large clothes pins, you can find a pack of 100 at Walmart for like $1.78 but all Walmarts have different prices and use Tacky glue, its used for crafts and other stuff

My 8 year old son is doing a project on dragonflies and I really wanted to make him one but due to our extremely tight budget, I had to use what I had at home... we made it, he took it into school and got 1st prize.

I watched the video all the way through and then went back to the beginning and made it as I watched you do it. Thank you so much for the inspiration because when I was making an order to Dollar Tree online for some of my craft supplies, somehow I accidentally ordered a case of clothes pins and they were delivered to me today. So I called them and told them they delivered the wrong thing and they said no that I had ordered those and I don't remember doing it so I had to have done it on accident cuz never in a million years would I have ordered a whole case of clothes pins because I live alone so I don't have very many clothes to wash just my own clothes and the linens and towels and things of course, never would I have ordered a case willingly. LoL. So I decided to go on RUclips and find some clothes pin crafts and found this one and I thank you so very much for posting it. You are such a talented crafter/artist/teacher.

Wow.... super simple to make and I love it. I followed your instructions which were extremely clear (including the video) and whipped one up in no time at all. Now I just have to figure out how to make one that will withstand the Summer weather.

I'm not much on clothes pin art but this one is super cool. Just this month our state conservation department ( Missouri) has highlighted the dragon fly and damsel fly in their monthly publication. It has wonderful pictures for me to use as inspiration for colors. Thank you for your video.

I think you did a wonderful job, but I would use liquid nail to put it together. That stuff will never come apart

I just watched your video earlier this month and have made one...I love it! I'm planning a 2nd gift wondered if you have any recommendations for mounting/hanging? Expect ing my mom will want it outside on the house or deck. I've sealed it really well, but still am concerned about it breaking.
