Oh, I love this video so much. It reminds me of my beautiful Mother. My mom was a beautiful woman and she loved skin care and makeup and La Prairie was the only brand she used. Thank you for this video. My mom will be gone 6 years on the 11th, I miss her and think of her daily.

hey abby! do you think Armani Cool Brown 20 color balm is a good shade to contour with? it looks quite pink or red online. I dont know if 21 Warm Brown would be better to use as contour
I recently bought the Laura Geller powder foundation. I'm pretty cautious as well when it comes to powder. The only one I use regularly is the Chantecaille blurring powder. But I'm back to working on site again three days a week, but have to wear a mask (which I fully support and would do anyway) but I didn't know what would happen to my makeup with 8 hours of mask wearing. So far so good. Chantecaille is my limit in luxury - La Prarie is out of my comfort zone, but it looked lovely on you.

Hi Abbey! Did the frangrance bother your skin with this powder foundation. I remember you said the La prairie liquid foundation was good but you couldn’t wear it everyday due to the fragrance. Thank you for your help 💁♀️💕🥰
Another beautiful look, I had my doubts that the foundation but it looks stunning, with just the right amount of luminous glow, now thanks to you I will be heading to Nordstrom’s as soon as I’ve got the time. So far I’m buying 2 new Chanel foundation, and 1 la Prairie powder foundation. If I keep watching you (and I will) the next video you need to show me & us how you store all your beauty products, because I loose what little I do have. If at all possible I know it would really help me and I’m sure most other viewers.

La Prairie over promised and under performed. At that high end price point, there’s better product on the market at a much better price point. Charlotte Tilbury never disappoints or #1 Chanel.

Hello Gill- so this is a powder foundation not a cream but it does feel creamy on the skin. I am shade Creme Peche. It is described as Light with Neutral tones. The color range is definitely limited. I hope you have a wonderful weekend too! xoxo
Although I adore the Caviar Liquid Foundation, this powder was not a favorite for me unfortunately. I found the fragrance to be annoying both to my nose as well as irritating to my skin…. So glad it worked for you but I had to give mine away….. Normally I love La Prairie products so I was sad 😞. Abby would you consider reviewing their new Gold skincare Line? I’m considering buying some pieces but it’s super expensive. Looks gorgeous though for mature skin! Xoxo 😘 Deb
Deborah - I was worried about the scent as well- but I found it to be lighter in scent than the new Loose Powder... and luckily no irritation yet...

Abby, FYI. I think the Armani Luminous Silk foundation in 5.9 is your correct shade. Try it and let me know what you think. It does take a minute to get the correct shade in this foundation. It will definitely pair perfectly with the Neo Nude blushes! Love all your videos!
What a beautiful finish with this foundation- love the look! I was watching you put on the Chanel Tender Beige Ultra Tenue, and thought that I’d recommend the shade Intense Blueberry in case you don’t already have it. It looks like red in the package but it’s really more of a berry tone. I put it on and then blot it to reduce the intensity. It’s my favorite shade in this formula. Have a good weekend! 💗

Every time LaP “reformulates” they add 25-95% to the price! I do love their cushion foundation, doesn’t transfer to my mask. I am sensitive to the new liquid, have not tried powder.

That is a good question- because I have never tried the Chantecaille one. I have always been steered clear from that one - so was assuming it was not for my skin type. It looks like I need to check it out- because yes- BIG price difference. xoxo
Hi Jill, I haven’t tried the La Praire and won’t due to price, but I have tried the Chantecaille powder foundation in the store and I loved it. Nothing like “powder” at all. It wore beautifully for me. I will probably purchase the chantecaille, even though it has talc.

I’m definitely going to check out this powder foundation. I have allergies, too so have to use kleenex at some point during the day, plus have to wear a mask off and on all day at work, so any liquid base always gets rubbed off on the nose/chin and is a pain to try and touch up while out; being able to touch up my foundation on the go is key. Lastly, I like a “modern matte” as all the glowy base products on the market, though pretty, tend to highlight where I have old acne scarring. Thanks for the review!
KG- I will be interested to see what you think... and I think I may love the Modern Mattes too... I love CDP Matte Foundation - one of my faves. They are just not a flat matte-definitely a bit luminous. Let me know if you give it a try. xoxo
@@AbbyBlissWhite will do! I have not yet checked out any of CDP range, actually-good to know. My most recent surprise base win is the Biologique Recherche Serum de Teint (which I know you also like). I got a sample in a recent Rescue Spa order and I thought it would be a shiny glow-bomb serum that I wouldn’t like, but it was wonderfully blurring and mattifying plus long lasting so I ordered two shades for creating the perfect makeup-free day look. But I digress…thanks again for all your content; I’m 39 and with a totally different skin type and coloring, but your videos and recommendations are still spot on and very appreciated :)

I may not know what I’m talking about because I’m looking for my very first foundation but I think this looks even better after the 8 hours, maybe lighter? Really pretty! Is this a good, light foundation for someone with your skin color who wants to look natural. Btw I loved the look of the Chantecaille bronzer, all very glowy!!

Mrs. Abbey, can you do a review on the makeup forever Reboot foundation?? I know it came out a year ago, but I've been wanting to try it but will not buy unless it's Abbey approved. I tend to stay with my go to high end brands because it works for me and its focus on skincare (La Mer / Sisley Paris / ) just to name a couple, but I've heard good things about this foundation and I know you like skin -like natural foundations same as I do .

Abby foundation looks very beautiful on you. I usually dont do good with dryer consistency foundations. I do not like WA nor the one that is in pot i cant remember the name, but its the one that you liked the makeup artist on youtube brand. So i would definitely would need to try on at the store, in order, for me to consider. But i really love my Valmont serum one. The only thing is, that i got in shade beige Paris. And its great when i want sun kissed look, but for fall, even there is no such thing in SF , i still would need lighter shade. I might try La Prairie, or i might stick with Valmont, but lighter shade. Valmont is more clean 🤔🤪 Have a blessed day 🙏💕
I think this foundation looks really great on you! I like powder foundation, it's just hard to find one that works well, especially on dry skin. Did you ever try Laura Geller's baked powder foundation? I love it; I recommend you try it out - they have two, one is Balance-N-Brighten, and the other is Balance-N-Glow (better for my mature, dry skin, it has a pretty luminous finish), but they both work on me and they are very reasonably priced. Wow! You look great! I generally hate powder foundation, and only keep one for touch ups that I rarely use (I pack it in my handbag for weddings and funerals type of thing). I do swear by the LP cushion (which has some long name) or Dior Airflash in the humid summers. It really does look luminous on you! As always, love your videos! xx
Looks great on you. Do you think the powder worked well because of your humid climate. I live in an arid climate and sometimes have dry patches on my skin, despite skin care. Thoughts. I would like to have a powder foundation for travel.
I think you look wonderful. Did you find it settled into facial lines? I used the skin care line in the past and did love their products. Like you I would love this for travel. Did it have an expiration time? 12mo 16mo etc....

I would love to see you try the Tarte BB cream primer. I’ve fallen back in love with it. It’s so smoothing and lovely on the skin and I use it as foundation. Goes on best with fingers. You’d likely be “light” as their colors run dark. But I’d love a review!

I have been so spoiled all summer with just using tinted spf that I don’t even want to think about this powder foundation. It does look beautiful on you so I don’t know how long I’ll hold out😂. I did order color 61 of the Armani blush, which looks very dark but is plummy & I hope it looks nice on!

I am very surprised at how good this looks because I tend to run from powder or matte foundations! I definitely wouldn't have been able to tell that was a powder foundation if I didn't know. It looks great. I have yet to try one but I was very interested a few months back when I saw a video of La Mer Soft Moisture Powder Foundation. It looked so good and I couldn't believe it was powder. So glad you tried the Santal Complet/Bum Bum combination! Speaking of fragrance, I received my Ruby N'Vanilla Intense today. Love! I have been testing it out and it is becoming more addicting as the day goes on. Thanks for sharing this find!

Whoa!! I have only ever tried the LaPrairie lipgloss that is truly The Bomb… ‘quiet fig’ just does lovely on my tone. Are they still making it?
Oh wait? Press & roll?! Maybe that is why it powder doesn’t look right on me & ends up collecting weirdly🧐
I wish! They used to make the blushes and lipglosses but they have since cut out on color products. AND yep, I had to be taught the PRESS and ROLL and then really buff it into the skin in circular motions. Give it a try with any powder. Keep me posted. xoxo
I'm on my 3rd compact of the la prairie powder! there's just no other formula like it. unfortunately, I wish the powder didn't consistently crumble into chunks when there's about 1/3 of product left, it makes it extraordinarily difficult to use in the last leg of its life.

I really want to try that powder foundation but it is hard to find descriptions of shades. Anyone have idea what a medium neutral would be? I see you are 2n1 in the Estee Lauder. That is a match for me, too.
Emily - here is the shade range descriptions of the Skin Caviar Concealer Foundation that I can find and I believe the powder foundation would correspond as well.: I was debating between Creme Peche and Peche - they do have a match finder on their website as well. I hope this helps. xoxo

I feel like with powder foundation you can use all of your usual skin care under it. A few years ago I tried the N20 that is supposed to be med neutral and it was a little light. I am not sure which to try, I am usually a true med neutral beige. I just love your voice, it is so relaxing & comforting.
