I believe this amp was mine at one point. It was a gift from Hogy to Ken Fischer. It’s signed by Ken inside the chassis. Ken eventually sold it, to Hogy’s dismay If Hogy doesn’t want it back, I’d buy it back. It’s the best sounding amp I’ve ever owned
Hello. I don’t see a signature in the amp chassis, but maybe it’s in a place I can not see. The serial number is 010. Was that your amp?! I know Mike Britt said he would buy it if I ever sold it, which I do not plan to. I agree it’s the best sounding tube amp I have ever heard.
It's fun to watch someone who is an expert work and talk about something I know almost nothing about. The details of building profiles are mostly a mystery to me.
Another cool video. Very interesting to hear about modeling and how he tweaks based on his vast knowledge and professional ears…all with practical application in mind!

The reason for playing the same licks is to get the baseline. Of course it's boring. It's supposed to be. If anything sticks out as wonky, it's gotta be tweaked. It's much harder to fire from a rolling ship. I also loved my Mesa 90W (Celestion G12 K100 w/vented coil) in a Hughes & Kettner closed back 1x12 Thiele ported cab. I regret selling it.
@@davematthews7052 Let me first say Mr. Dave Matthews, I love your first three albums. Second, and I can not speak for Mike on this, but it was a way to monitor in the room at a comfortable volume. Being in the room with the actual 3rd Power mic’d cab was overwhelmingly loud, and harder to gauge objectively. In other words, it was like listening to the finished profile moving air at a lower volume in the “control room.” In order to profile this non-master volume amp, it had to be in its sweet spot, which was very loud. Hope I answered your question.

It makes sense to use the Kabinet to monitor a finished or prospective profile, as many of us use the Kabinet for monitor live. That being said I must say that although we share a name, I had it first and he is younger than I am and of course much richer. Lol! Thank you for a great video!

@@pbitautas7 now I’m not as sure. To my recollection the signature was very obvious . Either way it sounds exactly as I remember.
