    Stefanie, 10 gold stars to you for your fantastic video and information about your California native plant garden, it's evolution, and also, the many green features you've had installed at your home. My husband and I love our native plant garden in Alameda and hope to advance to more green features one day.

    Wow love the use of the larger rocks on the hell strips. The rocks are a bit hidden by the plants. Have you ever had someone run them over?

    Thanks for a glimpse into native Californian plants. I am doing this in Ohio, and I use Ohio natives, but wonderful to see these unfamiliar, beautiful plants of California.

    This truly was a major overhaul of this yard . Did you do all this work by yourself? I find it hard to make a decision as to how to group the plants so it’s a cohesive look.

    • @bringingbackthenativesgard8975
      @bringingbackthenativesgard8975  Год назад

      Hi Vickie - Stefanie had a designer create the layout for the garden, and then she has consulted with several designers since it was installed to weigh in on areas that didn't look right to her. I always suggest that folks get consultations from designers who specialize in designing native plant gardens; there is a lot to that, such as rhythm, repetition, and continuity, which plants want the same amount of water and light, and how big plants will be at maturity.

      HI Swathi, If you'll go to Stefanie's garden page on the Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour's website, you will see a link that lists the contractors Stefanie used. Here is the link to her garden page:www.bringingbackthenatives.net/stefanie-pruegel’s-garden and here is the link to the list of contractors: www.bringingbackthenatives.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Pruegel-Green-Home-Features-2023.pdf. I used EcoPerformance Builders to install our heat pump for heating and cooling the house, and we were very happy with them.
      Good luck with your projects!
