I love portraits so much, I would be really tempted by one of those if I came across one in the wild. Also, loved hearing about Art-O-Mat--I can't believe something like that has survived for so long!
Thanks so much for making this video. I’m considering submitting to be an art-o-mat artist & found this really informative. Your work is beautful btw. All the best to you!
You are very talented! I am a fan of Art-O-Mat and when I lived in Santa Fe, NM, I tried to buy art from the machines when at events in the area. Oklahoma City had an exhibit on the Art-O-Mat with about 300 examples at OCU in February 2023. I love your art and hope to see it someday in Oklahoma.
How much does it cost to purchase their blocks? You make 2.50 for every art sold but how much did you buy the blocks from them? I want to try this for the connection with people who end up with my art and don't expect to MAKE money but definitely don't want to spend a bunch to do it.
I think it was $30 for 50 blocks, so less than $1 per block. It's been a while since I've done artomat though because I was spending way too much time on them for too little of a return, so whatever you do make sure you can make lots in a short amount of time.
Thank you so much! They diddnt have the at cost item prices anywhere and still waiting on my prototype kit. I'll definitely have to find a way to make them without taking too much time or money but still quality :)

Wow had never heard of such a project and it's so neat that you were able to take your art to other parts of the world.

It was such a huge project but man those shots at the end with all of 'em lined up. That's so cool! :D

super rad dude!
its a neat idea to get your art and name out there, but def would need to find a fast way to make art for the blocks for it to be worth doing 🙂
What size are the blocks?
