- Day 2 of Power Tour is in the books!
The drive ended up being about 400 miles through the back roads of Georgia and South Carolina. Stopping in small towns and seeing all the locals give thumbs up with a smile as you drive by. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday.
We did get a little off track..... stopping at a sweet old junk yard along the way. We where a little late to the venue but WE'RE GOING TO BE ON TIME TODAY! probably......

Dan, for some people like me, seeing a bunch of hot rods is better than Disney World.
Way better!!
Ain’t that the truth
Disney world went all woke now I will never go to that shithole ever again
I'd be careful touching a Armadillo, you can get Sam Vanilla poisoning from them.
Pigeons and Koala bears too I hear and maybe penguins.
Isn't that a guy named Sam poisoning the Vanilla ice cream, what does that have to do with that creature?
Hint: Armadillo can carry leprosy, yeah the leprosy they talk about in the Bible. Some people are just not informed. 🤦🏻♂️
Almost Every car event in the states is like that. We support each other like family. There's 10 cars pulled over for 1 break down. I buy cheap 99 cent hot wheels and matchbox cars around Christmas then toss them out along the way. 100 dollars worth every year. The first smiles pay it all back. It also plants the seed for a future hot rodder.
That's awesome!
My Car club out here in Arizona does that also, we buy 24 cases of Hot Wheels a year (roughly $2000 worth) and we will toss/hand them out on cruises and car shows, we also give a case to local Childrens Hospital and send a case every year to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis every year right before Christmas.
Day + 3 of dans dirty pants lol
Hi Dani & Dan, I'm the same way with junkyards. Waaaaay back in high school, my friends a I spent many a school day afternoon roaming the junkyards in my hometown... if we knew then what we know now, we would've been grabbing every SS, 427, 454, GTO , Stingray, and you name it emblems off all of that sweet old muscle in those junkyards 😉 ( & if we had the cash we would've grabbed the cars too )
I'm really enjoying the videos guys you look like you're having a blast down South.
Stay cool & thank you ✌️🙂
My first car was from a Junkyard, It was a 76 Camaro, basically a shell that had half it's interior my dad bought for me on my 13th birthday in 1985 and I spent the next 3 years rebuilding her with my dad and uncle, I did the same thing with my kids when on there 13th Birthday, took them to the junkyard and let them pick out their own first car, My son got a 74 Chevelle and my daughter got a 79 2 door Ford Fairmont, Son's still got the Chevelle but Daughter sold her Fairmont after she got married and had their 3rd kid.
What? They let kids in a junk yard?? Where is this at? I have for YEARS been wanting to bring my kids into a junk yard, like my dad did with me when I was a kid in the 80's, like every single one around here won't allow minors in the yard! I made some of my most formative core memories going to the Gigantic junk yards that stretched for miles outside the citiy lmiits of El Paso Texas. It was there I watched the guys who worked there drive around in old station wagons with the roofs cut out, and cutting torches, custom built from scrap lifting cranes hanging off the back end, mad max looking vehicles, they were AWESOME! My dream was to some day work in a place like that, now I am in IT... :(
Good morning 🌞 it's amazing the cars that end up in a junkyard isn't it, so many can be saved. I hope you guys are enjoying the tour so far, just be careful on the roads guys 👍✌️🇺🇲
There you were in my hometown of Columbia, SC, and I had to work. Bummer! Would have loved to meet yall and buy some merchandise. Glad you passed through. I like my town even more now because yall were in it! Bless your travels!
What I think is a huge feeling of achievement is when you put miles & miles on a car that you have a personal relationship with every nut & bolt on your car!
The junk yard comment you made is extremely true, in the past 25 years the junk yards here in Michigan have pretty much dried up, there's a few scrap yards....
Dan I gotta know.. Why on earth are you Not using your vent windows on the doors turned all the way open/backwards blowin air on you? That's like God's air conditioner in older cars way down south! 🥵 😂😂😂
I knew you were going to do the power tour to here . Where I seen you stop in a gas station .would give a big big hug . Be I've watch all vedios are put out from D D Speed Shop 👍👍🤓👀👀🍀👌🏻👌🏻✌️✌️👍👍
Hey Dan, You looked like you were in heaven in that junkyard. You could tell your mind was working. Dan's mind, "let's see, I could do this with that one and this with that one excetera excetera". Almost like a kid in a toy store. Love your channel and videos. Take care and be safe.
I hate following someone who has no lights of any kind in the back! I've done it a lot over the years! Lol
That's awesome seeing all the people on the side of the road cheering you guys on. Thanks for taking us along! 😊👍
Sees Opal. Walks right past a 1960 Chevy 4dr in really good shape…. Hahaha
Wondering....does anyone own a....Road ATLAS...or ???...Using...G.P.S...I Guess.....😎
Don't touch armadillos. They carry leprosy. Bad idea.
I enjoyed the yard walk threw Impala was a 63 my dad built a 64 when I was a kid. Looking forward to the next video dan
Is it possible to turn a 1967 chevelle four door into a two door
Loved the detour to the wrecking yard today. Thanks for keeping us updated.
Everyone: you see those two chicks driving a nomad?
The Dan'-Y'all and Dan-Yell tour is going great! The junkyard tour is always a treat. Hope y'all are having fun.
Those armadillos can carry leprosy. Not a good idea to pet them.
Love the daily videos. Have you and Dani given any thought to moving to the States?
DD Armadillo !
Junkyard for the win! We had a shorter ride Day 2, early stop at Temple's. Our junkyard tour vids coulda used your gift of gab for sure!

I wonder if Dan or Newbern made any deals to pick some stuff up from the junkyard on the way home.
This is good to see, Hot Rods everywhere! Can't wait to get my 62 C10 on the road... soon!
Save em people!
Thanks for taking us along, and the daily videos, I know it's a grind.
Loved the junkyard content.
you should know thats a 63 chevy.. you know.. like uncle Waylon drives
The junkyard to me is more entertaining
Dan, Dani armadillos carry leprosy
Y’all better not be spreading them damn Canadian quarters and dimes all over the states that kind of pisses me off because the vending machines won’t take though
LOL Last time I was south, you fuckers wouldn't even take my paper money. Had to go hungry as CAD was all I had and no one would accept it.
"I like your mullet"! Welcome to the South Dan!😆
The happy look on people's faces when you drive by in a old hotrod and the thought 💭 of a simpler time is what hotroding is all about 😁
I love those first gen Monte Carlos
You guys are the true ambassadors of Canada..... so true... Lon from Ohio...
I typically watch with amusement. Seriously tho, thanks for taking us on your tour and not turning it into a hurry and wait, life and death stress test.
If Dan says something is “a little rough around the edges”, it must be a real piece!
Just want to say thanks for letting my boyfriend John take a pic with you. He looked so happy in it. He was the guy with the beard in the wheelchair and the prosthetic leg
So far, in my opinion, you guys are doing the best videos on the tour bar none. Keep it up. I’ll be there next year
Nothing better than walking a junkyard.
Like a kid in a candy store.
This Camaro build has really shown how much work goes into fixing rust. I commend you for pushing through and yet still trying to show us the whole process. I hope you decide to keep this one for yourself. Later on you might do a similar build on the 68 and maybe give it away to a fan, since it doesn't have the wing windows... 😂 Anyway, I appreciate your efforts and have enjoyed seeing the build go from swiss cheese to solid steel. I don't care what they say, you got drive and skills. You are not a hack. You are an innovator and problem solver!
What are your plans for the interior of the "55 Nomad?
I notice some rusty swiss cheese above your head in the drivers seat. Just curious of your plans on how to repair it.
Can't wait for the video. +1👍
Dalton on PBG would stitch it together with zip ties.
@@stuartcote4915 love that guy! great channel!
Your hard work has given you the opportunity to go have fun and party with your hot rod. Congratulations on making it happen for you and Danny. Love the Contant! Blessings and peace from Philly.👍❤☮️
I live south of Augusta. Tried to catch y'all in Columbia, but I missed y'all. I see why. Understandable. Still had a blast. Maybe next time.
Man I didn't know Power Tour went through Augusta. I live in Evans right outside of Augusta. Of course we are in Colorado Springs this week.
Good old temples. I bought a 390 out of a 64 galaxie from there in 1999 when I was 15 years old. Havent been there in a long time tho. You were real close to a cool drive in movie theater called the BIG MO in Monetta sc. I was pulling out of the show yesterday as yall were pulling in. Had a good day!
If you want to find rust free junkyard cars head to California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. But I know that's a long way from Canada.
Dan/Dani this makes me think of the old Chevy slogan from back in the 60's: "See the USA in a Chevrolet. It's fun fun fun to drive it every day."
1st car looks like plain 1970 Mustang sportsroof with what ford called a halo vinyl top. Not sure if had that name on Mustangs but it did on Mavericks and others. It's where the vinyl roof stopped before the C-pillars.
Mustangs have so much in aftermarket and repro parts available that believe it or not, that car can be saved. Worse have been brought back.
How much Revenue that small-town makes with those 4 Sheriff's given 5000 people tickets driving through in one day for smoking their tires
You should have sangged up that Mustang II or the Brown Thunderbird/Cougar that was there when Brandon was messing with the Armadillo, Those are the HOT new build, atleast out here in the Southwest because they are everywhere, generally running or not far from it so they are cheap, the parts are still available at most Parts Stores and the Repop companies are starting to catch up to them because people are buying them up and building a cheap hot rod/daily driver because they are the last of the factory muscle cars, I don;t blame you for missing day 2 to go to a Junkyard though, I mean how often are you going to be able to to walk through a boneyard in South Carolina?
It was an absolute pleasure meeting you both in person. Thanks for putting the Little Blue HotRod in your video. I am still cracking up.
Glad ya'll are having a good time! ✌
Where is this junk yard at. I live in NC but don’t have the money to do the power tour. 2500 bucks to me is like 25000 just saying.
Only in Murica will you see cool old junkyards , not here in Vancouver BC Canada everyone is driving there hipster Tesla cars and SUVs . Great video Dan . Cheers
Your getting less fuel mileage because you have alot of weight in your Nomad the tool box full of everything tools needed or not and so many extra parts proably 1000lbs heavier then the tri 5 in front of you😂😂😂
Yeh that's Dannie's boyfriend, floorpan Dan from DD speed Shop. Where are all the floorpans after your excursion?
69 mach 1 is cool , 70 is cool , 71/72/73 it's okay same are just not cool to long of a nose big rear end blah but that's my opinion😊
The content is awesome. You both are doing an incredible job. The wife and i just found a 71 mustang mach 1 351C C6 M code fastback. Has the date code correct 351C and the 4V closed chamber heads.
Miss those junk yard days. We really don't have any good ones in CT any more. I'm still looking for a pair of Nomad upper tailgate hinges. Please keep an eye out for me or if you know anyone that has a pair, let me know.
That Chevelle probably came down from Manitoba !!! cheers from Vic BC
You gotta love wrecking yards, they have so much potential. One issue is the wrecker's cars need tons of work so it's best if you grab two the same and cannibalize one for the other.
I love the Nomad ! I have a 58 Plymouth 2 dr Belvedere and everyone want me to make it into a Christine clone or keep it original but when i see the Nomad i really want to do a gasser 😆 Mean Machine... love the channel you both are awesome !
So does Dan have a tattoo of Tri Five For Life on his stomach? I had a couple Pinto California Cruise Wagons in my teens and twenties.
Hey Dan the 56 is my favorite Tri 5 Chevy 😋
Leave the guy alone, he's on vacation!😁
Well Dan, as hard as you worked on the car and you spent the day in a junk yard? Douughh. Sorry , it's your trip, have fun.
just think how much better this would be if you were running fuel injection? You would be meeting a lot more people.... on the side of the road...in the south...in the heat and humidity...
Note: though the risk is very low, armadillos can transmit leprosy. Not kidding.
Love your videos but I’m a bit disappointed you don’t like hardtops, I’m going to start fixing up my 55 hardtop belair, I’m going to post on my channel “Jalopy Ranch” I’m new to blogging and my videos are shamefully amateur 😝 maybe some day I can be like you 😊
Vary different collection of old cars and trucks too. Keep up the great work. Okay. Stay safe.
Great show keep up the good work be safe my friends God bless all
This actually looks like a vacation this year, and not a break and fix on the road every 10 minutes.
My favourite part would be going through small towns and back roads. Couldn't care less about the big cities.. I'd go around them
Try college football Saturdays unbelievable see caravans with team flags .never seen anything like it
Power tour 2024, take the LS out of the 56 wagon, install it in the 47 and bring that to the states next year!
I have a 1972 Road Runner 440 pistol grip 4 speed one hour south of Atlanta.
Dani what's with the hair ?color🤔an is that dan Dani's boy toy😅👍😁😁😁lol
this is cool junk yard
I’ve walked through Temple’s junkyard many times.
Hearing Dan he wants to build a Mustang has got me excited because I'm a Ford guy first and fordmost. Any year Fastback would be awesome to see him build.
Took my 78 RS Camaro 4spd on power tour 2 years in a row and yes that left leg gets a work out. Lol
Yo buddy gone in 60 seconds was a 67-69 fastback model not the shitters 71-73 … 67-69 fastbacks are the hottest model
Hey Dan Firebird here
Big rad, big fan, big carb, HUGE fun!
Firebird out
They don't call the south the rust belt for nothing Dan, the humidity is what kills the cars here. Loving power tour content and still hoping to get a closer look at your buddy's Fairlane.
Yep! I'm originally from Missouri and have live in Northwest Arizona for the last 3 years and get calls from friends, Friends of Friends and a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy that knows a guy that I met at a car show once wanting me to store a car for a weeks/months or wanting me to find them a car.
I'm a big fan!
That junkyard is so cool but I don't see any third gen Camaros LOL
Ahhhhhh a shot to the ribs, is that Danny's boyfriend! Thanks UTG😂😂😂😂
South Carolina don't get much snow and they don't use much salt on the roads. Those cars don't look as rusty as further north.
.
That ‘63 impala looks to be the least rustiest worthy of building!
DAN YOU'VE GOT TO GET FURTHER SOUTH SAY ALABAMA TENNESSE STATE LINE TO GET AWAY FROM THE RUST. WHERE YOU ARE ON DAY TWO THEY USE SALT FOR DE-ICEING THE ROADS. GOT TO GET SOUTH OF THAT BUT NOT NEAR THE COAST. LOVE YOU GUY'S HOPE TO MEET YOU SOME DAY. HOT ROD'S ONLY!!!!
Cheer wine good stuff junk yard pretty cool stuff looks like a lot of fun probably more fun than Derick is having thanks for sharing this with us
Such a shame that most of those cars are worthless now. Guy just needs to pull a crusher in there and go to town. So sad, lots of desirable cars in there had they not completely rotted out.
You guys have a conra to build stop lookin at this stuuf we want to see the Cobra at home😊😂😊
21:00 minutes in you walked past a Old’s my mom used to have(rare) can’t find one
“Stranger Things” happening above Dans head with incar videos lol
I think you assumed the sheriffs were waiting there to give thought a hard time, Sheriffs like hot rods too ya know.
Good update 👍, looking forward for the next one.
