I can't explain what it is that makes this music so beautiful. It is so pure and the voices blend so nice and the harmony is overwhelming. Really beautfiful
This was the first of your songs I ever hear heard/performed. I cannot tell you how much imaginery there is in the songs you write-- there is such a clear picture painted in my head by these soundscapes.
I am very glad to meet people here who want to learn from the music or the Interpretation of other people. I enjoy this as well and that's also the main reason why I started to watch music Videos on RUclips 6 years ago until now, unfortunately , I have not always the necessary time for it. But I expect always wonderful music , Players, singers and conductors, it is almost Like at Life concerts. Sometimes even better. You do Not need to sit accidently behind a column If you have got only a cheaper Ticket for the Concert and you cannot afford a Ticket which is more expensive. The camera has often a good setting, sometimes a bit dark, but you can change it at the device settings.
Ola Gjeilo's music is one of the Most heart-touchings, deepest and Most Spiritual Kinds of music I ever heard. I never thought that it we're possible at the modern Times. As a Second Composer at the History of music at the past , I can only think about Johann Sebastian Bach. He was also a great improvisator at his time. We have no recordings, naturally and unfortunately, of Bach's art of Improvisation. If He was still alive, He would Like to improvisate and to play with Ola Gjeilo! Bach's compositions are quite different. Yes, they are often made with the Art of counterpoint and therefore only very hardly to compare with Gjeilo's compositions. But that was a Style which had It's flourishing period at the 16. century until to the early 18. century. Later revivals at the late 18., at the 19. and the 20. century are just revivals but no originally and particularly compositions at a time-proprial style. They all, from Mozart and Beethoven until to Mendelssohn and some componists from the modern times, sound at an any way all Like Bach, because they all have learnt from him. The influences on Ola Gjeilo's music are partly different to the music of which Bach has learnt of, classical Tradition, for example Choral church music, and Piano music, also some folk music play also a certain role for His music. Perhaps you read the musicologist from this words, terrible, I know😊, but I enjoy also History and also History of music and have also an exam in that. I heard also Allegri's Miserere from the 16th century, nearly Last year, on RUclips, and was similarly impressed. At all, this music, especially the Choral music, reminds me on some Kinds of ancient music.
Music is the universal language. Other than the title which refers to gold I really could not understand the lyrics. This performance still connected with me and my emotional center.
Pulchra es, amica mea, Suavis et decora filia Ierusalem. Pulchra es, amica mea, Suavis et decora sicut Ierusalem, Terribilis ut castrorum acies ordinata. Averte oculos tuos a me Quia ipsi me avolare fecerunt.
Ola is my favorite composer of all time. These women performed this perfectly
Quelle merveilleuse version de cette œuvre splendide ! 👏🎶☀️
On touche la voûte céleste... Pour moi, la meilleure version de ce morceau ❤...!
One of the best compositions I ever heard!
And angel-like voices as well!

Ola always hits the soul with calming music, great performance too!
Magical, or should I say spiritual. I could listen dozens of times at one sitting, and it would still have the same profound effect.
great to hear with all female voices. an amazing piece and a beautiful performance!

It's an excerpt from The song of Solomon in Latin, from chapter 6.
