The biggest highlight of the Outlaws streams is when he started playing Black Myth Wukong midway through the stream 😂
Haha truth
Lol
I loved maulers stream at the end when he got the Jaba ending and mauler started laughing like the joker
I remember that, I joined midway through and he’d just switched. I thought “wow this game looks better than I thought. Oh wait” 😂
What stream?
When your 100$ game has worse stealth mechanics than Splinter Cell 1, a 21 year old game…
Damn, that hits hard actually. Why even introduce a stealth mechanic then
Or metal gear 1.
Its so funny watching the MC punch a stormtrooper in the helmet and knock him out. I'm sure it's unintentionally funny but how in the world did so many people see that animation and not say "that looks really dumb, how would she knock them out by hitting their helmet?"
@@homebass3426I might be intentionally funny. There's a lot of slapstick humor in the original trilogy, and there's some in here as well
Well that’s your fault for paying $100 😂😂 could’ve played it for $10 with Ubisoft +
At this point I'm pretty sure Disney is using all these shit projects to money launder. There's no way the Acolyte and this game had a 300 million dollar budget.
320 million and counting
Either that or a dozen or so managers paying themselves increasingly stupidly high bonuses.
Someone wants to tank it to take share control or something stupid no doubt lol it's impossible to ruin that many things in a row
Ubisoft is involved as well, so of course it’s gonna be garbage regardless of how much it costs
@@Cuccii mostly true and I agree, however the studio that made this is called Ubisoft Massive and they are actually very good, they made the recent Avatar game which was very good and played more like Crisis than and Ubisoft game, it also had some of the best graphics of all time, James Cameron likely had a huge hand in making sure it was polished and not rushed, however it seems this time around Lucasfilm rushed Ubisoft here and made a number of idiotic creative demands which limited the scope and overall quality of the game, an absolute dumpster fire.
“From the studio that brought you The Acolyte…”
"From the secret society that brought you covid..."
@@Alx1744Nigga what kind of conspiracy shit are you on
@@Alx1744 HAHA
The saddest part is this game was made by a Studio that was known for Stealth/Action games and completely failed the task
of doing exactly what they're known for.
Sadly 'Massive' made this game, the division guys, they are less on stealth more on looter-shooters
Tbh they fail at that in their stealth/action games
@@chromesucks5299i see the stealth mechanics as a tool rather than what defines the game. I play it for the story, lore and world and it nailed that.
If you use the albeit mediocre stealth as a tool you can have a really dynamic combat flow where you can chain different styles of combat together to make it really fun.
Distract a stormtrooper, beat up an officer, stun the stormtrooper and continue to fight another group of enemies. It honestly makes we want to do more than just stealthily sneak around bases which can get a bit bland sometimes
A 120 pound girl knocking out stormtroopers with a punch to the dome was the best!!
Dude stfu. Troopers get beaten by pebbles and sticks and teddybears in the OT. The game has many issues but stop being petty.🙄🤣
I think Hasbro Black Series makes the armor for the Empire.
But she is really really strong though. 🙄😄
@@coreymckee4844one scene can be bad but that doesn't make the whole show or film bad. The WHOLE game was bad. No excuses given. Not just one part of it, ALL of it.
@@MindBloopler thats fine. Im just pointing out that the complaint about her beating troopers with fists was dumb given how stupid stuff like that was in the OT.
Watching Asmongold run into the Pike base at the beginning of the game, set the alarms off, attack a few guards, then dip into the tall grass and hide from 8+ guards surrounding him without finding him as he picked off one at a time in the grass told me the people who made this game suck and the lead developer didn’t care.
Asmongold is also a garbage human being so there's that
That is literally the default in any game with stealth ever. If anything it shows that people like you don't even play video games.
No, that's not what a stealth game is, that's what a shit game is.
To be fair, Skyrim does that, and really most sneaking games do that. Arkham knights, mordor at war or whatever that game was - but that one had the promotion system which was cool for the generals.
@@oBCHANo that’s bullshit and you know it.
Lucas Arts use to make such fun games man. The Lucas era was truly special! Force Unleashed, Knights of the Old Republic, Jedi Outcast + Academy, Bounty Hunter, Jedi Power Battles, Pod Racer... so many classics!
Nothing from the golden age? No love for TIE Fighter, or Dark Forces?
@@classicalextremism Shadows of the empire :)
@@classicalextremism
During the pandemic I started playing those games on emulator, those game are very difficult to play yet first time experience how that era had basic logic's campaign...
Absolutely, but if you’re looking for a good classic game from Lucas Arts try, The Dig. Such a great one from back in the day.
@@classicalextremism LOVED Dark Forces & Shadows of the Empire!
It's still crazy to me that Eclipse HASN'T BEEN CANCELLED. We got a reveal trailer and it's been dark since. All I can hope is that it's ACTUALLY still being made, and money put into it.
Bot
probably but am not buying it till gameplay trailer
@@kaior1gameplay? I thought it was a story game like telltale’s TWD
At this moment in time, I think the best strategy for Star Wars games would be to remaster the entire LucasArts catalog. They need to get their act together before making new projects, and they’d probably learn a thing or two dissecting the stuff that people fell in love with.
Maybe they’ll realize what made Star Wars special to so many people and then start releasing banger after banger
You do remember what happened with the battlefront remake/release/whatever the heck they called it. It was bugged as all get out and didn't really change anything. I mean at least they didn't mess it up too bad, but they definitely didn't do anywhere near $60 work
@@IrishEyes1994 yeah but I bought it and had fun with it. I never played the originals. That's more than I can say for Outlaws.
@@FKA_Skull Oh I never said it wasn't fun, I enjoy it too haha, more just have doubts that they'll do other games justice. Battlefront is relatively straightforward and hard to screw up on, so that is probably the best we can hope for. I mean, would you want KOTOR to end up like outlaws?
Everybody who has been in-charge of Star Wars since the force awakens need to be fired, I don't want those people anywhere near Star Wars.
Keep in mind these companies hire devs based on sexual orientation, gender, race, etc nowadays. instead of hiring ppl based on their capabilities (CV)... so, is it really that surprising???
Welcome to Bill Clinton's 90's. Glad you could make it
Is it impossible to critique a game without this inclination? Get over it weirdo, plenty of non white dudes make fine games elsewhere
If you really think that the problem with ubisoft games is 'game devs with different sexual orientations' then the problem is you,
they have been making the same games for 10+ years.
@@chromesucks5299 nah the Quality isn’t the same. Example the old far cry games or AC games are much better than the new. Black flag is a better pirate game than skull and bones. The interactions also got worse and the character writing. Also Ubisoft follows an agenda
Pls stop arguing in bad faith. You know well that the sexual orientation in itself isn't the problem, but the fact that it has become a hiring criterium that is valued higher than actual skill requirements. Since it has no bearing on game development capabilities, it's basically like they're just hiring random people for jobs they aren't qualified for. End result: game not good.
Main character is the daughter of Matt Damon from "Team America" & a Gelfling, that realy likes the "Rambo 3" hair cut.
That alone is ridiculous.
If Han Solo would notice her, he would definitely shoot first to end this abomination.
her face is the result of plastic surgery gone wrong
She reminded me of Bender from The Breakfast Club when he wore the jean jacket.
@@Ultimabendessen but the nose and eyes are way different.
Ubisoft is trash , maybe whoever buys it will give us splinter cell
Tencent will give you Splinter Cell that you need to pay $10 to turn on the goggle one time each.
that’s all we want man
Fo real!
An IP everyone wants that would sell like hot cakes? You're insane, sir 🥴
Then we can have Physint (new MGS style game) vs Splinter Cell again like the old days.
10:57 Star Wars: The Old Republic. The MMORPG with 8 different classes, 4 on Imperial side and 4 on Republic side, each with their own unique class story and a world of planetery missions and stories. The game is quite old now and has changed a lot over the years, but i still find myself going back to it from time to time to just enjoy the original 8 storylines - even though it also has numerous expansions that will keep you busy for months as well.
I hate the combat(just boring repetitive imo) but love the stories, companions and customization.
Did you know Rolling Stone ranked this 4th on their top 25 Star Wars games list? 😱
Rolling Stone still exists?
That's absolutely nuts
because they were paid to rank it that high duh lmao
@gamingavalon8784 right lol. Toss me $10k and I'll write a list and rank it 1.
What is Rolling Stone?
On the Skyrim lock picking note, it’s more than that. Lock picking is entirely optional, especially if you aren’t playing a build that would even be good at it. And even if you are playing as a sneaky assassin or stealthy thief, the amount of things you have to lock pick isn’t to an annoying degree and often times (for immersion’s sake) you can find a key by pickpocketing or searching around.
In addition the lockpocking game can be sped up through optional perks or if someone truly does not want to do it they can console command the locks to bypass the mini game entirely on pc.
Ubi: Okay we've spent 90% of the budget -Embezzling- Hiring DIE consultants.
Also Ubi: We could -Embezzle- spend another 5% for more DIE consultants if we just copy every level.
wtf is a die consultant
@@xs1358 the commenter is embarrassingly implying that 90% of the budget for the game went to paying ‘diversity, equity, & inclusion’ consultants, by which they probably intend to say that the majority of the games budget went to political correctness and multiethnic representation. In reality, the acronym is “DEI,” the commenter spelled it “DIE” because they are very edgy, cool, and original.
@@xs1358 think he meant dei lol
@@BrentButler DEI was originally DIE, its people changed letters position once it became controversial. And even before that it was named D&I (Diversity & Inclusion). Now after DEI they changed it into BRIDGE (Benchmarking Race, Inclusion, and Diversity in Global Engagement). All in all, it's the same agenda under different name, rebranding to start "fresh" while it's just to make people forget about their evil achievements.
@@salvatore771 they first advertised it initially to investors as DIE tho but they eventually thought it DIE as kinda bad sounding so they changed it to DEI so u know "implications"🤣
This game went from 160 to now its at 59 dollars at Gamestop. That should tell you something
Still too expensive
Next week they'll be offering full refunds +10% if you take it out back and bin it yourself
Still too expensive wouldn't buy this shit for 10 dollars.
I could get Breath of the Wild or Hogwarts legacy on Switch for $60, why the hell would anyone waste their time and money on this slop?
I'm waiting for like $30
I was hoping for Cyberpunk 2077 but you are a bounty hunter in the Star Wars universe. I was not expecting a stealth simulator doing missions/quests more repeatable than an online MMO’s side quest lineup.
I don't know why everyone is calling this a typical Ubisoft game. Typical Ubisoft games like Far Cry or Ghost Recon tend to have character and weapon customization and allow you to approach open world missions in any way you like, be it stealthy or actiony. Star Wars Outlaws is literally LESS than a typical Ubisoft game.
Piling on Ubisoft is very lazy. They've made some absolutely great games.
I think because it has the 'typical' ubisoft game elements, and they are less more stripped because its a star wars setting, kinda like what happened with that avatar game.
That game is a far cry reskin too but more stripped down mechanics because its about the setting.
@@coolcat23 yeah but now they are at the point of collapse. There aren’t the same as back then. Look how there market share dropped and when the downfall happened. I think the last good game was ac origins because every other game had the same problems that is known from Ubisoft
@@coolcat23 *Made* great games. The mighty have fallen. Look at Bioware, Blizzard, and Bethesda.

Yeah, there are objectively abysmal games out there that are worse
And why the fuck would he play those in the first place? He's going to play Star Wars games. Is this not one of the worst ones? Fucking nerds man.
_>"How this cost $300M, I don't know... Acolyte cost nearly $300M"_
Two words: 1. *MONEY.* 2. *LAUNDERING.*
They made a game for the "Vocal Minority", not the majority. It's woke, it's trash; Ironic.
Theory should play Space Marine 2. Non stop action, fun co-op, they respected the lore, zero microtransactions, no agendas or forced "morale" messaging. The developers actually cared about what they were creating. You also don't need to know anything about Warhammer to enjoy it and have a good time, but fair warning it will absolutely get you into Warhammer 40k.
Great game, I agree! However I recently came across a spreadsheet created which shows Wokeness in games and apparently Space Marines 2 is part of it, which I find absolutely ridiculous and contradictory since even the usual grifters are praising it
@@Inv_Asian32people who call SM2 woke bc it has a female officer don't know the lore very well with gigachads like Lotara
He doesn't play other games. Especially something like that. It doesn't have Star Wars in the title. He stopped playing Black Myth Wukong which is GoTY material but played this game to completion. Think about that for a second
@@Unicornpirateidk about goty but it’s good
@@homiesoprano Funny enough, I've had so much fun with Space Marine 2 that it's about to get me into Warhammer 🤣🤣🤣 Which is painful bc I'm already into two Star Wars ttg's, Armada and Legion.
I'm so into Warhammer lore now that I'm actually gonna paint up my Clone army for Star Wars Legion in Black Templar colors!!!
Fun fact: Its a Ubisoft loot/shooter. Therefore: Its ACTUALLY a reskinned The Division mod.
One thing I’ve got to disagree with is that there was not enough marketing… my 57 year old dad knew there was a new Star Wars game coming out because of all the commercials, I believe the best form of marketing is a good product marketing a bad product is almost impossible as consumers are not the idiots they think we are.
What's really odd about this game is how she is supposed to be an "outlaw" a criminal, yet you can ONLY steal from police.
Seems really message filled.
4:20 that explanation actually sounds cool. Would think the game would be like Hitman meets Star Wars, but clearly they botched it.
That would be a great idea but Ubisoft literally just makes the same game over and over, especially these kinds of AC smiliar games. Ubislop.
Instead, they made a completely light side aligned scoundrel game. How fun
To me, from just watching people play it, it feels more like a 20 or 30 game, not a triple A title
I never played the game, mostly because when I saw the protagonist punching stormtroopers in their helmeted faces and not breaking her knuckles, I knew this was a lame game.
It doesn't bother me, but what they could do is add a data pad somewhere at the start and explain she has a droid hand. Perhaps as a youngster she was caught stealing somewhere and had her hand taken.
That would take some minor effort and the result would be good story telling and world building so I'm afraid your excellent idea got rejected 😢
@Sideswipe79 Did it because, I emailed it to Ubisoft and I was thanked for the suggestions. They are working on it further. You never know. I am enjoying the game since the latest update.
"You're a bigot for disliking this superior SW title" probably some quote by a disney employee
a quote from a mere employee? It’s far worse than that, after all KK said in a recent interview that SW fandom is male dominated and that they are all sexist.
*clips through the floor*

Commie-Cat-Ladies in a galaxy far far away... not far enough, by a long-shot.
The worst part is the "finisher" cinematic when Kay hurls 3 weakass punches that wouldn't make a child cry, but can kill even helmeted stormtroopers. Give me Respawn's games anyday.
Me: Enjoyed Jedi Fallen Order=60$ Me: Enjoyed Jedi Survivor.. WAY MORE.. also 60$ .... both of which had better visuals and audio, souls like elements.. somewhat decent AI. lightsabers and force abilities. Outlaws: No i refuse.
"160 bucks later" wtf bro. Why would anyone pay more than $50 for a game
I genuinely believe that some financial, zero societal benefit entity like maybe Citadel Securities or something has in the last couple of years created a money-laundering service for corporations that on paper, is legal through and through, and they’re charging a 30% cut for their services. This is why we get these projects that cost a bazillíon and are crazy poor quality wise.
It was fun hanging out and watching you play, though.
I’m getting into SWTOR right now I don’t have time for another open world game and certainly not the money lol.
That's funny. Instead of buying Outlaws, I just decided to play the Smuggler story in SWTOR instead.
@@Fxrrxt2x nice I’m staring with the Sith Warrior sometimes the dark side is fun.
Proof that Disney has been bleeding the Star Wars Brand dry. It’s fast becoming the case that you can’t just slap Star Wars on something with no effort into it and expect it to sell millions.
This was once the case before Disney.
The game is not that bad.....people just hating a bit
Idk seems unfinished and buggy as hell with not that good mechanics and gameplay
Idk... It doesn't look appealing in the slightest. There's tons more out there where my time and money is better spent. And judging by the sales reports of this game, I think a lot of people feel the same.
Not that great either.
I agree, I’m having a blast with it right now. Is it the best most polished game definitely not but I’m enjoying the characters and my freedom to explore and have adventures across the galaxy ☺️
Assassin's Creed and Watchdogs had an incest baby! Thank you for your continued sacrifice, Theory.
Did they ever explain how she can punch fully armored storm troopers with bear hands and knock them out without crush gloves or the force?
You need to play the "movie battles 2" multiplayer mod for star wars jedi academy! This is by the best star wars mod for a game I have ever played. If you know about the jedi knight games then you know how good the lightsaber combat is, well this is even better as it has been overhauled and has even more depth added into it. You can create your own fighting style and choose which ever kind of hilt or light saber you want to use, staff, dule wielded sabers, single saber, etc etc. The light saber combat is not the boring Battlefront 2 hit stun nonsense like most star wars games today. There is dismemberment, the lightsaber fights FEEL LIKE ACTUAL LIGHTSABER FIGHTS THE WAY THEY SHOULD. Not only this, but what I am describing is just 2% of the mod.... There are many game modes, classes you can play. You can play as any character from all of the books, movies, shows, games, legends etc etc etc. Everything is well balanced and has a high skill ceiling to master! If you call yourself a Star Wars fan, then you owe it to yourself to try this mod out and tell your friends about it as well. If you like to role play, this is the best game to do it in.
Look up "movie battles 2" on youtube and you can find loads of gameplay clips, reviews, and trailers. If I link them in my comment my comment gets deleted lol, thanks YT. This is truly a mod made by the fans FOR THE FANS! It has constant updates, fixes, new content every week/month. New maps are added from the movies, shows, books and games. This is all you need until the end of time. I have not cared about new star wars games for YEARS now. I have movie battles 2 and these new games can't even come close to how awesome mb2 is to play. No round is ever the same, and if you watch some gameplay clips, I can confirm that YES, it is truly as crazy as it seems from the trailers and the reviews. Please, don't just take my word for it. Look it up yourself and try it out!
I still want 1313
Keep waiting.
The worst game you’ve ever played? Come on dude. For a star wars fan you sure hate Star Wars more than anyone I’ve ever seen.
Its crazy. Back in 2016-2020, i used to watch creators because of my love for star wars content. Now in 2024 i watch star wars content only for my love of the creators. Nothing says how far this franchise has fallen.
Makes me really sad this game sucked. I was lucky enough to record a good chunk of the soundtrack, and I remember asking one of the devs who was there what he thought and his words to me were “it’ll be a good game if they can fix the story”…
Glad i got mine refunded and just watched the streams xD
What I don’t understand is why they don’t do an Ashoka game? She is a great female character who is strong and they could have a story of her adventures after order 66 and some of the stuff she did with the rebels with flashbacks from the clone wars. Or have an Anakin/Ashoka centric game during the clone wars!
I loved Ashoka when I was a little girl watching the clone wars and didn’t get all the hate she got in the beginning because I knew they were going to develop her well.
Worse than gollum?
Lol
Technically. If he never played Gollum.
I miss the days where you signed off with "may the force be with you my jedi and sith friends"
I don't ever want to hear anybody complaining about games like Metroid Dread being $60 ever again...
At 11:35 he channels his inner Donald Trump, including even the hand gestures. Hilarious!
The acolyte and outlaws. Prime examples of when ‘female centric’ is the priority instead of ‘quality product’
Exactly, like they have proven they can make good female characters like ashoka in clone wars and rebels but just don't ever continue doing it and make it about race and females when people don't like their bad writing like in acolyte and outlaws which just drill the bad writing into your head 💀
"Modern" Ubisoft plus Disney Star Wars? A recipe for disaster.
I would much rather play Assassin Creed or Shadows of Mordor game instead of Outlaws with a heartbeat.
1:06 Just so you know, in a Quad-A experience, you don't start at the beginning, but at the begooning
Ubisoft is extremely formulaic with their games. Everytime I play a Ubisoft game I know I’m playing a Ubisoft game because they’re pretty much all the same. I also don’t believe Disney pushed them to release the game too early, I think Ubisoft is just in such a bad state that they don’t even give a fck anymore.
You know that Ubisoft is just a publisher, right?
I've played all AC games from the first one up until Valhalla, which completely burned me out on the series, because the games have, as you say, become to formulaic and ladden with open-world-bloat.
I finished Outlaws last weekend. I wanted to skip it at first, or at least wait for a while until it hits the sales on the PSN, because i was afraid that it was just another Ubisoft-open-world game. But it's not beholden to the "Ubisoft-formula" at all, there's a lot less open-world-bloat, it misses a lot of typical Ubisoft-OW-stuff (like having to climb towers to uncover the map), it invites manual exploration a lot more and i, in all honesty, had a lot of fun with the game.
That Kinect dance-off game must be in the bottom 3 though, right?
Theory's nuts are so big that when he mispronounces a word, "begooning", it immediately gets added to the American vernacular
really bro? get of his jock! LMAO
@@thesixth2330Please fix your grammar and spelling.
Just for your own sanity Theory, you should go play 'Spacemarine 2' and 'Chaos Gate: Daemonhunters.
Star Wars is not your only sci-fi life option... :)
The real tragedy here is that you can see hints of a great game underneath this failure from Ubisoft.
They did an awesome job on planet and world building, and then the developers gave up.
11:08 thats why people loved the old Jedi Academy games
GameS? Multiple? You mean JK games, right? Pretty sure there was only one JK:JA game.
But yeah, that and the only multiplayer was so much fun slicing off other players arms and stuff.
@@NunyaBiznezz-q2v The fans did mod it out to create I think its called Movie Duels which was fun, it recreated the Duel of the Fates etc.
My favorite Star Wars games are the Xwing Tie fighter games from the 90s, the N64 games, and the Jedi Survivor games, along with Force Unleashed duology.
Nobody asked for this game. People clearly want Star Wars game like Jedi Survivor 😅
I saw Outlaws in Walmart the other day for $69, so the price is even lower now.
Man to remove the bad taste of Outlaws you should play Space Marines 2, you would LOVE IT and we would love seeing the SW w40K mashup!
I would rather eat a cold chicken pot pie than play this game
You missed out on a Kennedy-Lucasfilm goodie-bag and a free flight to SF by not agreeing to lavish this pos game with praise.
Although, had you gone to SF, Pablo Hildalgo probably would have had you hit.
Insane that Ubisoft used to make the literal best stealth action games in existence (Splinter Cell, early AC games) and now they can’t even come close. They could have made a full conversion mod for Chaos Theory on that exact same engine from 2005 and it would have played and looked better.
Star Wars Outlawed
Imagine if they had given the player character new tools to use and upgrade as you go.
Not a great game, but I wouldn't say the worst.
Do you know all the games that Theory has played in his life?
Even the god emperor cant save Disney Star Wars at this point
Our beliefs are almost totally aligned on Star Wars. Instead of wasting my time on Star Wars from here on out, I’ll just wait for the review. Tired of wasting time and money to see something I cherished as a kid being destroyed by Disney.
The WORST game you've ever played? Bold statement, homie, there's definitely way worse games out there. I mean, yeah, it's garbage, but the worst ever? I'm not so sure about that.
I’m look for the third Jedi game. Seeing where Cal is in life after the death of his teacher and how much Kata has grown
At least it’s not concord. Or the suicded squad
The fact that you get no reward for completing the heist is insane, we did all of that and didn’t even get a single credit - I know it wouldn’t mean anything but still, give us something ALSO why couldn’t we go back to the starting planet???
Hey Theory,
Always been a big fan, bur why make a title like this, when you made numerous streams playing the game? Why not just abandon it and save the time?
Im enjoying it thus far...
Got it. Commented only because of the title 😝
To any dev studio listening here is a billion $ game. Re release Battlefront 2005 with mod support and updated graphics. As DLC you could add old republic era and sequel era
Beforehand, I’m not with those fools from SW Explained. But It’s honest not a bad game. Take off the grainy filter they have, adjust the settings. And it’s a decent looking game. And if it is, then I don’t know why you spent hours playing it. Just to get the views and bash it?
Sure Jedi Survivor is 100% better. But it’s not as near as open world as SWO. Just being immersed in the Star Wars universe is damn near awesome. But 100% see why the studio didn’t reach back to you to come sample the game. They already assumed they bombed enough, by pre sales. Why have this dude 3+ mill add to that?
Seems too expensive because of all the flaws everyone mentions, but still wanna play it at some point because of the open world exploration aspect. I’ll get it when it goes on sale for $39.99 on christmas
Meanwhile, I’m out here waiting for KOTOR Remake…sheesh
It’s so sad how safe, sanitized and censored games have become. If this same game was made 15 years ago, it would’ve let you rob anyone, it would be more violent, It would be more bloody, immersive, adult, better written. That’s pretty sad when you know a game would have been better if it came out 15 years ago than today.
You probably didn't play a lot of games then if you think that this is the worst game you ever played honestly.
This is such a bad faith "review", like saying the game graphics is like Gamecube level is ridiculous. I get you didn't like it but yeah... anyway.
Best part of Outlaws by far was Sabacc! I could spend hours just playing that game, otherwise the game was pretty boring and redundant.
Somewhere in the multiverse, a studio is releasing the Star Wars Galaxies remake, with modern gameplay mechanics, and Old Republic style dialogue interactions, all while keeping the freedom SWG offered. I envy that universe.
Appreciate your sacrifice! Those punch take downs with puffs of smoke, when she/they (?) punches a Stormtrooper immediately breaks it for me. Is just weird. Indiana Jones doing that to Nazis was cool .. if that's what they were trying to copy, it's just done very badly and seems not fit for Star Wars to me. I know Ewoks took out Stormtroopers with rocks, but there was enough good in there to turn a blind eye to that .. this game just looks like it sucks on lots of levels. I'm not even a Ubisoft hater either .. I've liked a few of the last Assassins Creed (Black Flag, Odyssey and the viking one) and Far Cry games.
Basically all Ubisoft games since Far Cry 3 and the early Assassins Creed’s use the same “Open-World” structure and it’s just so stale and tired now.
They focus on building the world first and try to ‘fill it’ with content. A story is written, but they have to chop it up into these tiny chunks and scatter across the open world. This is not at all conducive to a tight narrative experience, it’s the exact opposite.
The developers all have to work within this game structure dictated by Ubisoft execs. Until they relinquish creative control and let their studios branch out with some non open-world structures, their games will continue to feel hollow and stale.
I miss the days of tight linear narrative experiences. The odd open-world experience can be exhilarating, but only if it densely is filled with meaningful content. If they insist on this structure, the worlds need to be MUCH smaller so they can be curated into more satisfying encounters.
AC 3 and 4 were phenomenal as splinter cell Blacklist and rainbow six please stop with revisionist history sure latest games are missing mark but lets not discredit them for past work there are exceptional.
Oh yeah, i remember how i had to climb all the towers in Outlaws to uncover the map... oh, wait...
If I wanted a tight narrative, I'd read a book or watch a movie. Games with an "on rails" approach can be glorified "Press X to win" affairs. It is more challenging to have a dramatic story arch with an open world approach but it is possible and great examples exist.
Exactly, they pivoted more and more into 'lets create a beautiful world' and then 'fill it it up' with stuff to do, happened with asscreed games, and far cry games, and the IP's they couldnt give this treatment to got slowly dropped (Splinter cell etc).
I think Theory was right when he said the players would have gotten so much more invested in the story if the players were allowed to create their own characters from the ground up.
Just look at some of the stories players created from the Star Wars Galaxies days. There were people roleplaying as secret Force users, bounty hunter players trying to track those players down, players who enjoyed being the mayor of a small town on Tatooine or wherever, it was crazy.
It's like EVE Online: if you give players the freedom to create, they will create their own world and their own stories, and they can be damn entertaining.
True, games can give us characters that get us invested, like Revan, Starkiller, the Exile, Kyle Katarn, etc. But at this point, I doubt Disney's capable of giving us well-written characters beyond Kal Cestis anymore.
As you are canadian you do not understand how our speed systemin the US works. You are saying she is going 5-7 MPH and its not. Its Freedoms per Eagle.
He wasn't even talking about how us speed system works . In usa they use kilometers per hour . Freedoms per eagle is just you making that up.

@@ThommyOcho there was no reason for you to reply because I wasn't talking to you.
I miss the pc times and games of the 80's 90's, full complete games..sigh..
do you even like star wars anymore lmao it's just misery on this corner of the fandom
Maybe if a mildly interesting SW product comes out one day
Why is this guy still supporting Disney Star Wars and especially Ubisoft? I really don't get it. From the moment this game was announced, it was obvious it was going to be DEI slop. But yet this dude finished the game because it has SW in the title. FFS he stopped playing Black Myth Wukong which is easily GoTY material but played this game because it held his hand for him.
You can have your opinion but to say this is the worst game is just straight up wrong. Unless you haven’t played many games. I’m. It saying this is a masterpiece but it was enjoyable for the most part. I’m not trying to be a shill (like SWE) but what was the last thing Theory had even liked in Star Wars? He seems to just hate everything these days.
Worst game ever? Nah, far from it. Worth CAD$160? No, but also, LOL, buying the Ultimate version pre-release is the silliest thing you could've done. The smart move like I did is to subscribe to Ubisoft+ for something like CAD$23/month. Then finish it within the month or even two months, then unsubscribe. All the benefits of Ultimate and you pay a fraction of the price.
Not the greatest game I've ever played but I enjoyed the romp. Seeing the Rebel Alliance from the ground level as a character with no interest in the war was also a fresh story perspective.
It’s weird/crazy to see SWT putting out “hit pieces” especially after the Acolyte fiasco - because he was always pro Star Wars content and would speak delicately of “bad” content - but now it’s weird to see content just slamming stuff. Weird.
Weirder that SW makes shit show after shit show and releases a shit AAA game just to release another shit show. And just some
Projects make it through shit control undetected. Respawn’s games and Andor
Ubisoft is a dead Company, it was clear from the very begin that this game will fail
