Story of a dog and a rabbit

This classical children's story from the Tumbuka of Malawi is about a rabbit and a dog. In our modern days of materialism many times, children are left in the hands of house-helps and parents are not curious to find out what the children are undergoing.
This story teaches parents and guardians to create relationships with their children so that they are continuously aware of what their children are going through. Increasingly, most parents and guardians focus on providing material needs for the family than relating to their children.
As for the children, the story teaches them about trust, responsibility, curiosity, obedience and honesty.
