Really glad to see that Emma recovered well. She was certainly well under the weather for quite a while. Teenagers bounce back pretty well though as she has. Love your new nav chip, a lot more detail which is all good. Fair winds and gentle seas, keep away from the covid.

Some 18 months ago, when we had covid and sort of a 'lockdown' here in Norway, non-essential stores like yacht chandleries closed. But then we could order what we needed online, meet up at the front door, pay with our phones, and everything was ok.
Love the Trimaran but enjoy having that backup with 2 motors on the cat. Thanks again for the time and energy Ya'll All put into making our vicarious journey a True Pleasure ... insert 2 thumbs up....

Great still shot of the boat and skyline.. That was interesting to here about the lockdown and Covid problem down there. We hear nothing about that back up here. To my knowledge, we haven't cancelled a single flight to Mexico. As a matter of fact, we have put on larger equipment to handle all the extra pax heading down there. Flights are all pretty full too. Every city we fly to. Stay safe, cruise on...
La Cruz is a smaller town and a lot of the smalll business would close or be on limited hours for numerous reasons. One main being they were sick themselves. Things are back to normal now. 👍

I was surprised to here you're going to Chamela! We had a large family gathering there 30 years ago, stayed at a spot around three miles north of Punta Chamela. I don't think there was even a town back then. I'll be interested to see the place again!

Lol, it was so funny when he came back to basik. Teal was talking about how the surge at entrance to the marina was more than usual and some of the larger yachts were having issues entering and he was wondering what was the cause. After I told him there was a tsunami alert because of the Tonga volcano, he was like "That makes more sense."
This is an interesting look at La Cruz. My wife and I were there on a day trip out of Puerto Vallarta in January. La Cruz impressed me as a place I would like to see again. There are two fish markets in the town and there seemed to be some nice small hotels in the little town near the marina. Thanks for a look at the place from your boat.

@@philscott7949 , LOL..Not quite sure you really grasped the procedure. I've updated MANY a device (I'm in the Electronic World). Internet where they are is not so slow, open internet connection?...what..are you now concerned about cyber warfare?. As for bricking the device, that can happen ANYTIME you perform an update..no matter WHAT process (CDROM, File downloaded, SD card...doesn't matter). You are certainly in your right to back his decision, however I personally have a Raymarine and have downloaded updates and then updated (firmware & software) for those Raymarine devices with no issues. Speaking of firmware, I wonder, since Teal only bought the SDCARD, if he even looked on Raymarines site for a FIRMWARE update? Many people do not look at things like Firmware (or BIOS update for PC's). I was just hoping Teal would comment (there is no right or wrong answer, as it is his device that he and his family have to rely on). Phil, do you have any maps on your mobile device that you use for a backup (or as many they use their iPad/Android tablet as there MAIN navigation)...(Navionics, Garmin Blue Chart, Navily, OpenCPN..etc). They all get updates via the internet and I haven't had or seen people rushing into the forums/groups with bricked PC's/mobile devices. Thanks for your comment.

Was in Mexico last week Cabo, PV and Mazatlan. No covid closure or restrictions. 80 peso is $4. Would be nice if you guys put sailing dates on your videos. Covid is changing day by day. No more masks on cruise ships.

What is your total float plan? Are you planning a complete circumnavigation of the world or just to visit certain areas of interest. After Mexico will it be the East coast of the US or will you head all the coast of South America and then cross the Pacific?
I have heard that Mexico is tightening up their visitor visas. Some entry places are not giving the historical 180 days, with some only getting 7 to 14 days .
Lol, it is a shame. The town dumps their sewage into the Bay there. At least that is what we were told. The South end of Banderas Bay is still pretty nice and the water is clear. Unfortunately the anchorages are not ideal.

As of right now, we can all fly home including Compass. One problem is Compass is not allowed in the cabin on an international flight. I am still trying to find a solution because we can't imagine what he would be going through being in the cargo hold. If all else fails, we will have to stagger our flights so we have someone with him.

I think their main float plan is to stay on top of the water. 😁
