Check syllabus and join which u like, of u like math statistics along with it's application in programming and CS related fields too, then BSDS, but no hostel, Bstat is more theoretical stats based, it's a very old course, hence there will be more competition here probably. But jee students are more familiar with BSDS test pattern so maybe there also competition might increase
