Thank you so much! I actually get vinyl at a local store but the brand I've been enjoying the most is the Siser brand. So far I've only used the one bottle of UV resin that I linked in the description, only because I end up using such a small amount for each project. I've been really happy with it, though.
Lovely,I just got a started kit for my teen practice during the summer vacation, she loves the stars, did you incorporated it with the glitter mixture or added it on top of the resin
Great video! I made my first keychain yesterday and I was wondering if you have any tips to make it feel more "finished"? It's dry, but has a slight sticky feel that I'm not loving.
The silver glitter is just plain old craft glitter you'd find in the toddler craft section. It isn't labeled as such, but I would say look for chunky if you want that size.
If I spill resin on it, I put the lamp over it to cure it and it pops right off! If you don't want to do that, you can use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball while it's still wet. For things like glitter, I use a big chunk of packing tape to pull them off.
I've noticed on particularly humid days my resin can be a little sticky after curing under the light. Usually, I will set it on the windowsill to get some sun and after a couple hours it has hardened up. Let me know if that works for you. Alternatively, you can use a cotton ball with some alcohol to rub the sticky surface. It will remove the stickiness, but sometimes it dulls the shine just a little.
Another issue could be too much mix-in in the resin. I have added too much powder pigment before which made the resin impermeable to light and as a result, it didn't cure. If you think that might be the case, pull back on what you are adding and instead do thinner layers to build up the color or glitter.

Yes! As long as you keep your layers thin and without too much pigment it cures really nicely. I've noticed issues when I put too much mica powder in it and the light can't penetrate.

Hey there! Thanks for this video. I’m about to embark on this, but one quick question, I did my first one in the garage and it started curing before I was done spreading, could that be because I was getting UV from the sun?
Todo muy bien y hermoso. Pero que tontería más grande el grabarlo en inglés y luego el subtítulo también en inglés sin ninguna otra opción. Por ese motivo no me suscribo. Saludos.

You can do it either way! I like to stir it in but you have to do it gently to avoid getting bubbles.
Pretty!
Woow beautiful

I find that of its still a little tacky just putting it under the light for a bit more can help. You can also try rubbing alcohol.
✨ New subbie! ✨
Thank you for joining me.
@@FickleHobbyist thank you for making awesome videos. 📹🎥
Hi! Enjoyed your tutorial. I usually use fine glitter but I like the way yours sparkles. What kind is it? Chunky?
The silver glitter is just plain old craft glitter you'd find in the toddler craft section. It isn't labeled as such, but I would say look for chunky if you want that size.
Can you show me how you made the decal please. ??
The previous video making the decal is listed in the video description. 😊
Can you use UV nail lead lamp to cure the UV resin? Thank you.
That's what I use! You just need to check the instructions on your resin to see how many watts it requires to cure properly.
@@FickleHobbyist thank you hun
How do you keep your silicone mat clean? Mine is horrible with glitter on it. I can’t figure out how to clean it.

Thanks for sharing, but I have a problem with the Uv resin, after it cures it still feels sticky 🤔

Quick question. 🧐
Where did you get your silicone mat?
I'll be honest, I've had this one for as long as I can remember so I can't link to the exact one, but I know they have them on Amazon. :)
@@FickleHobbyist I’ll give Amazon a look see. Thank you for responding. ☺️
Can you add the brand of resin in the comments? The link no longer works
Super ! Avez vous un lien pour commander les cercles en acrylique ?

Hello Just wondering where you got the black paint strokes image from?

Does it cure evenly?
Yes! As long as you keep your layers thin and without too much pigment it cures really nicely. I've noticed issues when I put too much mica powder in it and the light can't penetrate.
@@FickleHobbyist ok thank you.
