You obviously have a market place store which is larger and has more selection than the base store. If you go to base store they are still good but some things like the extended amounts of cheese or sushi may not be there. (former manager)
Agreed on the Private Selection Hummus! It's not only better but cheaper than the more well-known brands. (Of course, with the Instant Pot, I learned how to make my own hummus.)

coming from a kroger employee, i love seeing these kind of videos! i work in click list so i get a feel for all departments in the store. i was off the clock yesterday getting stuff for my grad party and there was a lady in the section looking for some cupcakes so i helped her out with what she needed to find, i will say at least in my store the employees are amazing. our produce is amazing as well! i love getting fresh produce from our store. also you’re ready meals are different. we have frozen ones you pay for by the pound and you put them in the skillet, and i’ve heard they are amazing! thank you for shedding some light on kroger (and on click list as well)

My Daddy loved KROGER ice cream and KROGER orange juice. A small glass of OJ was one of the last things he would eat. He took a drink and let out a big ole sigh, “Boy, that’s good”. Before he became ill, lung cancer, he had a cone of Kroger Vanilla ice cream while he sat in his porch swing in late evening during the seasons that were warm enough. (Tn) My favorite Kroger item is their meat in general. Always fresh. Not long ago I bought a pack of ground chuck. Put it in the fridge to use the next day but for some reason it was a couple of days before I looked at it. I figured it would not still be good but to my pleasant surprise, it was red all the way through, no old smell....it was great. Glad I discovered you.... just today because I ordered an Instant Pot. 😊😊😊
ORCHIDS! The Krogers in my area have really nice orchids. Not just run-o-the-mill phalaenopsis, but cymbidiums and dendrobium nobiles etc.. Some types of orchids I can't even find at "high end" nurseries. The prices are a hoot as well.
Great point on the orchids! They're gorgeous! ♡ Those beautiful blue poinsettias at Christmas too! The many varieties of multi-colored roses and variegated roses beat any bouquet price of a florist. ♡
I'm addicted to Kroger 3 minute pizza supreme and they only cost 1.00! I add a little more shredded mozzarella cheese and Kroger sliced pepperoni to the top, and oh man is it awesome. Total cost is about 1.10 and really satisfies my pizza cravings, plus saves me about 12.00 from not ordering delivery.
Its Smiths here. Ours is very good & we love it, but I have NEVER seen ANY STORE have the huge selections and super neat & organized layouts you show. Wow! Where is this store?!
I work at a Kroger warehouse in Tennessee and this is so awesome! We really do try to make the customer happy! If you have a market place store near you should try it out! They have clothes and lots of home goods! Thanks for shopping KROGER!
Your Kroger store seems to be a better store than the one near us. We shop at Kroger but ours doesn't have the same things as your store. Our store is a signature store but has been there for years. Maybe you Kroger is newer. I will say that everyone who works there are extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. We get coupons from them and I think their prices are good.
I love Kroger too here at home in Ohio but.....I love love Mariano’s in Chicago when visiting family. . It’s been taken over by Kroger. I hope everything stays the same. The butcher shop! Oh my goodness. The deli! And the bread and bakery items. The best thing by far is the service and how clean it is. Love you Mariano’s!

My absolute favorite at Kroger is their Raspberry Chocolate coffee! Of course there are many other foods I like there but I always stock up on this coffee! Hope they have a Kroger store where you're moving to.
I live out West in Nevada and we have Smith's store, this is Kroger's sister store. Your list is great, I would add there spices to the list and there coffee. Now there Employees are the BEST always friendly willing to help. Just the GREATEST.
We get the fried chicken. I concur with the veg & fruit. We get meat and chicken mostly from Kroger. Here in Texas, HEB is competition. But krogers sends your coupons for things that you buy frequently. Then there is the app with coupons and specials. So Krogers is our #1 market. Then again we have more Krogers around us then all other stores.
I think the sushi is also amazing. I love getting steak from Kroger. I’m also a fan of the produce. I just recently tried the soup from the hot section. I got clam chowder and it was really good and was loaded with clams.
The Comforts for Baby/Toddler items (another Kroger brand) are all fabulous! Diapers, wipes, training pants, 'disposable'/reuseable kid cups, bowls, etc. If you have a Kroger Marketplace anywhere nearby, their home decor, towels, and clothing are nice, too. The KIDS clothing (Kids Korner is the brand) is super cute, very affordable, and there's generally a coupon for an additional 15-50% your clothing purchase.
I wish our Kroger here in N. GA had a Seafood Dept. as large as yours!!! I'm a NY native and was raised on seafood, we ate it 3-4 X's a week growing up. Your children are beautiful!
Kroger brand versions of over-the-counter products are very good....examples: aspirin, cold remedies, denture cleaning tablets (I use for cleaning my retainer). When I've tried some other store brands for such things, they disappointed me. Kroger prices can be higher...but they have good sales...if you're observant & careful, you can do well for prices. When Velveeta soared to $8 for 2 lbs & changed the flavor, it was time to try Nice 'n' Cheesy from Krogers. It costs about half & tastes good!
Kroger Rules! I love Kroger too, and everything 'Private Selection' is wonderful! The PS bread OMG the entire section of packaged bread is $1.88 a loaf! The Sweet Hawaiian sliced loaf....to die for! There's SO MANY Private Selection bread blends....FANTASTIC! The bakery rustic loaves - HOLY COW! Authentic crusty crusts, luscious inside. Must be 12 bread blends. You must try the French blend, 'Herb d'Provonce'......a blend of French herbs. I could live on that bread! Thank you for posting your RUclips compliments about Kroger! I've lost track how many times I've called their 800 Number to personally tell them about something that I just tried and I love. P.S. The flower shop is a real florist! Pop in, get a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of roses and a wonderful cheesecake and you're good to go! ONE STOP SHOP.....WE LOVE OUR KROGERS! ♡♡♡♡

I love Kroger and shop the flower section also. If you look behind/on the side of the flower shop I often find "Manager Specials" that are still beautiful and you can get a beautiful bunch's for $1 -$5.
In the frozen vegetable aisle, they have 2 styles of mirepoix (with and without carrots), 3 peppers and onions and soup vegetables that make creating soups and stews so easy!
so kroger is also smiths at least in my area, and i will agree on the employees part. when we moved here it was a small town, and yea it's grown a LOT since then, and people STILL treat everyone like family. i find it really funny how new people to our area look kind of freaked out about it at first. lol
Kroger is King Soopers here in Colorado and I agree with every single thing you said. The produce hands down beats out every other store. I'll add, the CarbMaster yogurt is also the BEST!
I work at Kroger marketplace in Mississippi , we don’t have some of these things you have at your Kroger ......the pre prepped meals , and the marinated meats and fish ......but we do have a huge clothing section and shoes. Our baby world is very big too. I would love to see the pre prepped meals since there are only two of us in our household. I guess I’m gonna have to have a talk with our store manager about these things.
i do not shop at Kroger since being a SF bay area (NorCal) guy im mainly addicted to Trader Joes and Costco where ive been doing my shopping for over decades. I just bought IP duo plus 60 6qt on Prime Day subscribed to channel & saving most vids for future use. IP is in another universe out there that was unknown to me until now. Cant wait to play with new gadget and share new discovered recipes with my sisters. Thx! Very informative channel for rookies!
Just to place this here if you don't have a Kroger in your area look for theses instead: Cala Foods, City Markets, Copps, Dillons, FoodsCo, Fred Meyer Stores, Fry's, King Soopers, Mariano's Fresh Market, Metro Market, Pick 'n Save, Quality Food Centers (a.k.a. QFC), Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and Smith's Food and Drug. If you have a the any kinda of saving card that you use at check out they will work with all stores. you might have to explain it to the checker that you card works at their store.
I go to Kroger only for a few things I can't find anywhere else. Our Kroger is messy and the employees are never smiling. (probably because it's so messy 😉) Which is why I just pay more and go to Publix. Kroger has an awesome healthfood section, which is why I do go there when I do.
Susan Crowe just so you know all of Kroger and their family stores are getting rid of the "natural food" section and integrating them into their normal food sections (chips with chips etc etc etc). So enjoy it while you can shopping their will soon be a head ache. My store recently just went through this and it's a pain the the butt.
Susan Crowe I know just what you mean, the Kroger by me is the same. It’s impossible to find anything because the employees couldn’t care if you find anything or not. I,too, switched to Publix: employees are always cheerful, glad to help you and the prices and selections are great!

their sushi is very good, such a treat for me. .the turkey hill triopolitan chocolate ice cream is to die for. kettle cooked chips my fave too. private selection Memphis inspired bar b que sauce is the ONLY sauce my hubby will eat. haven't seen the meal prep kits in our store yet.
This Kroger reminds me of the new one that they brought to the part of town near the Lindbergh Marta Station (I live in Atlanta GA btw) and that one is really huge and has plenty of variety in it. The one i normally go to is near where I live BUT I don't mind going to the one near Lindbergh sometimes because of the variety. My favorite item there is the ice cream too and the Private Selections are AMAZING....We love the Southern Butter Pecan, Country Vanilla and of course Chocolate Ganache which reminds me of how Chocolate ice cream used to taste like back in the day.

kroger shopper here for a very long time, as was my mother, and her mother! but, theres NO kroger for about a 25 mile radius of where i live. I do go to the closest one on way home from work in winter, because its just too far of a drive (windy back roads for the last 5-8 miles. if only Kroger would come to Carthage Tennessee! lol
Omg Kroger is my favorite also i go several times a week the employees are the best i love going in the morning i also love the Saturday specials they have been having since last year and the free Friday special also love all the food
That's for the presentation sister #2. And yes, I have to agree with you, they have freshest and best quality in produce. I shop at Ralph's which is a bit of a drive but worth it.
My nearest Kroger is in Troy, MO but they do have several stores in the St. Louis area that are similar to Aldi or Save A Lot called Ruler Foods. Ruler is owned and operated by Kroger and carries a lot of the same merchandise you find at a full-service Kroger store including a vast selection of Private Selection and Simple Truth Organic products. The quality of the merchandise including their meats and produce and their very low prices keeps me going there.
Great video. I have two Krogers near me. Unfortunately they are a fraction of the size of your Kroger. I have been to some super sized Krogers like the one your video. They are amazing.
The Private Selection Butter Pecan ice cream is excellent! Also, the Kroger brand tuna (about .75 cents) and the Kroger peanut butter are better than any of the name brands.

Just tried their BBQ sauce (Texas Inspired) and it is so good! Their ice cream flavors are also amazing. Root Beer Black Cherry is my current favorite, but I've only tried a few flavors.
I love Kroger’s! That’s my happy place.. lol I am a fan of the California Rolls as well with Yum Yum sauce!! Love buying their petite potatoes to roast in the oven! Fried chicken in their deli .. what!! .. and yes their soups... Broccoli and Cheese please! All their food is so good and fresh! I also buy their Kroger brand chicken nuggets and strips in the frozen section.. grandkids love them! I agree the employees and my Kroger are awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!
Cathy over at No Guts No Glory keeps talking about Friday and Saturday specials at Kroger. She loves trying new things and Kroger offers that every week.
Our Kroger isn’t as fancy as yours. We do like their milk and half and half. Liquor is good there and wines. Like their heirloom tomatoes as no one else carries them. Bakery is good my husband loves their bagels and breakfast goodies. Seafood is good depending what you want. We love their ice creams.
Your Kroger is really nice. Our Kroger is a little older and doesn't carry all the stuff... like I don't think, unless it's new, that they carry the sushi and I haven't noticed the stuff ready for the grill nor did I know about the seasoning pack stuff... will have to check that out and see if they offer them. Kroger employee here! Looking at the comments just wanted to make a few general comments about them overall. First- yes our prices are higher than Walmarts, but you are NOT going to get the kind of customer service at Walmart that you are Kroger. Also, if you’re reading weekly adds and have our kroger app you can find amazing deals. Second, from where I’m from most of our kroger’s are completely brand new and do have all of the things that she mentioned in the video, so it’s a bummer to hear some people say there’s are older. Hopefully they will build new ones soon or update the older ones. Hope that helps anyone!
You must live in a good area I work at Kroger’s we do not have that kind of deli and we do not do that for our seafood but maybe it just hasn’t come to our store yet
You must be looking at the most expensive items they have, because Kroger's prices are very competitive to comparable stores. However, if you're used to shopping at Aldi's or even worse, at Wal-Mart, then I can see why you'd say that.
Do thou use their app? Their coupons add up (especially since you get better coupons the more you shop there) and it ends up saving more than even Wal-Mart. Seriously.
Great video! I LOVE Kroger, I just wish mine had a bakery section like yours...those cupcakes looked AMAZING! I also love discovering their clearance sections, especially when it's in their bakery section. Last week they had two grocery carts stacked to the top of clearanced bakery items. I was able to get fresh cinnamon rolls, whole loafs of onion rye bread, and Italian bread for $.99-$1.99 each. I freaked out!! lol
What five states have you lived in? Where I live We have 3 Kroger stores, 2 Publix’s, and 4 Walmart’s - but I feel like I’m messing one...Two Kroger’s are marketplace Kroger’s with sushi and a sushi chef that prepares it on site. They also take custom orders. At my Kroger you can find more rare veggies like fennel, anise, kohlrabi I just saw a little dragon fruit plant too for $10 that I plan on buying tomorrow! Never knew they would season your fish! Will definitely do that next time!!

I wish we had a Kroger close to me but I do ok. I go to the last *Warehouse market* in my area for most normal stuff. They even still take magic coins! *Aldi* for my Kroger type foods (they have the crispiest/sweetest gala and pink lady apples I have ever had) My husband feeds the beast by going to Walmart. I get all passive-aggressive just thinking about it! Lol
I used to always get the Mediterranean Hummus and then they were out of it every time I went for months...finally they got it back it but the price also went up. Don't know where you live but that is one awesome cheese department. I think my Kroger has dedicated maybe an 8ft. section to cheese so you can imagine it's not wonderful but it'll do in a pinch.
I use to love having the Kroger, and Safeway stores in my area, but those stores closed years ago and we ended up getting stores like Brookshire's here in Arkansas, and they just changed again last year to a cheaper brand I think is owned by Brookshire's.
I love Kroger too. I have tried the Private Selection Texas bbq sauce and I have the Carolina one. I can't wait to try the rest of them. Our Kroger must be smaller than the one you were filming in. Our meat/fish counter is not as big.
Kroger brand stores where I live are QFC and Fred Meyer. I love their lite mayonnaise! It is delicious and much better than the lite mayo of the big brand names! It tastes just like the full fat version!
Not all Kroger stores carry this in there bakery but if you can find the right Kroger store try the Devil dogs, nothing gets me out of the dog house faster than when I bring the DD home for the wife.

If you have a Kroger Marketplace anywhere nearby, their home decor, towels, and clothing are nice, too. The KIDS clothing (Kids Korner is the brand) is super cute, very affordable, and there's generally a coupon for an additional 15-50% your clothing purchase.
I wish our Kroger here in N. GA had a Seafood Dept. as large as yours!!! I'm a NY native and was raised on seafood, we ate it 3-4 X's a week growing up. Your children are beautiful!
Kroger brand versions of over-the-counter products are very good....examples: aspirin, cold remedies, denture cleaning tablets (I use for cleaning my retainer). When I've tried some other store brands for such things, they disappointed me.
Kroger prices can be higher...but they have good sales...if you're observant & careful, you can do well for prices.
When Velveeta soared to $8 for 2 lbs & changed the flavor, it was time to try Nice 'n' Cheesy from Krogers. It costs about half & tastes good!
Kroger Rules! I love Kroger too, and everything 'Private Selection' is wonderful! The PS bread OMG the entire section of packaged bread is $1.88 a loaf! The Sweet Hawaiian sliced loaf....to die for! There's SO MANY Private Selection bread blends....FANTASTIC! The bakery rustic loaves - HOLY COW! Authentic crusty crusts, luscious inside. Must be 12 bread blends. You must try the French blend, 'Herb d'Provonce'......a blend of French herbs. I could live on that bread! Thank you for posting your RUclips compliments about Kroger! I've lost track how many times I've called their 800 Number to personally tell them about something that I just tried and I love. P.S. The flower shop is a real florist! Pop in, get a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of roses and a wonderful cheesecake and you're good to go! ONE STOP SHOP.....WE LOVE OUR KROGERS! ♡♡♡♡

I love Kroger and shop the flower section also. If you look behind/on the side of the flower shop I often find "Manager Specials" that are still beautiful and you can get a beautiful bunch's for $1 -$5.
George I agree with you. I called corporate with my problem. They did absolutely nothing. Their loss not mine I have several stores to choose from
I only buy my meat, veggies & their specials when they have them at Kroger. Their too high on everything else compared to other grocery stores.
In the frozen vegetable aisle, they have 2 styles of mirepoix (with and without carrots), 3 peppers and onions and soup vegetables that make creating soups and stews so easy!

so kroger is also smiths at least in my area, and i will agree on the employees part. when we moved here it was a small town, and yea it's grown a LOT since then, and people STILL treat everyone like family. i find it really funny how new people to our area look kind of freaked out about it at first. lol
Kroger is King Soopers here in Colorado and I agree with every single thing you said. The produce hands down beats out every other store. I'll add, the CarbMaster yogurt is also the BEST!

I work at Kroger marketplace in Mississippi , we don’t have some of these things you have at your Kroger ......the pre prepped meals , and the marinated meats and fish ......but we do have a huge clothing section and shoes. Our baby world is very big too.
I would love to see the pre prepped meals since there are only two of us in our household. I guess I’m gonna have to have a talk with our store manager about these things.
i do not shop at Kroger since being a SF bay area (NorCal) guy im mainly addicted to Trader Joes and Costco where ive been doing my shopping for over decades. I just bought IP duo plus 60 6qt on Prime Day subscribed to channel & saving most vids for future use. IP is in another universe out there that was unknown to me until now. Just to place this here if you don't have a Kroger in your area look for theses instead: Cala Foods, City Markets, Copps, Dillons, FoodsCo, Fred Meyer Stores, Fry's, King Soopers, Mariano's Fresh Market, Metro Market, Pick 'n Save, Quality Food Centers (a.k.a. QFC), Ralphs, Food 4 Less, and Smith's Food and Drug. If you have a the any kinda of saving card that you use at check out they will work with all stores. you might have to explain it to the checker that you card works at their store.
I go to Kroger only for a few things I can't find anywhere else. Our Kroger is messy and the employees are never smiling. (probably because it's so messy 😉) Which is why I just pay more and go to Publix. Kroger has an awesome healthfood section, which is why I do go there when I do.
Susan Crowe just so you know all of Kroger and their family stores are getting rid of the "natural food" section and integrating them into their normal food sections (chips with chips etc etc etc). So enjoy it while you can shopping their will soon be a head ache. My store recently just went through this and it's a pain the the butt.

their sushi is very good, such a treat for me. .the turkey hill triopolitan chocolate ice cream is to die for. kettle cooked chips my fave too. private selection Memphis inspired bar b que sauce is the ONLY sauce my hubby will eat. haven't seen the meal prep kits in our store yet.

This Kroger reminds me of the new one that they brought to the part of town near the Lindbergh Marta Station (I live in Atlanta GA btw) and that one is really huge and has plenty of variety in it. The one i normally go to is near where I live BUT I don't mind going to the one near Lindbergh sometimes because of the variety.
My favorite item there is the ice cream too and the Private Selections are AMAZING....We love the Southern Butter Pecan, Country Vanilla and of course Chocolate Ganache which reminds me of how Chocolate ice cream used to taste like back in the day.

kroger shopper here for a very long time, as was my mother, and her mother! but, theres NO kroger for about a 25 mile radius of where i live. I do go to the closest one on way home from work in winter, because its just too far of a drive (windy back roads for the last 5-8 miles. if only Kroger would come to Carthage Tennessee! lol

That's for the presentation sister #2. And yes, I have to agree with you, they have freshest and best quality in produce. I shop at Ralph's which is a bit of a drive but worth it.
My nearest Kroger is in Troy, MO but they do have several stores in the St. Louis area that are similar to Aldi or Save A Lot called Ruler Foods. Ruler is owned and operated by Kroger and carries a lot of the same merchandise you find at a full-service Kroger store including a vast selection of Private Selection and Simple Truth Organic products. The quality of the merchandise including their meats and produce and their very low prices keeps me going there.

Just tried their BBQ sauce (Texas Inspired) and it is so good! Their ice cream flavors are also amazing. Root Beer Black Cherry is my current favorite, but I've only tried a few flavors.

I love Kroger’s! That’s my happy place.. lol I am a fan of the California Rolls as well with Yum Yum sauce!! Love buying their petite potatoes to roast in the oven! Fried chicken in their deli .. what!! .. and yes their soups... Broccoli and Cheese please! All their food is so good and fresh! I also buy their Kroger brand chicken nuggets and strips in the frozen section.. grandkids love them! I agree the employees and my Kroger are awesome!! Thanks for sharing!!

Wow you must live in a big city our Kroger does not have fish monger or cheese case.
Our Kroger isn’t as fancy as yours. We do like their milk and half and half. Liquor is good there and wines. Like their heirloom tomatoes as no one else carries them. Bakery is good my husband loves their bagels and breakfast goodies. Seafood is good depending what you want. We love their ice creams.
Your Kroger is really nice. Our Kroger is a little older and doesn't carry all the stuff... like I don't think, unless it's new, that they carry the sushi and I haven't noticed the stuff ready for the grill nor did I know about the seasoning pack stuff... will have to check that out and see if they offer them. Kroger employee here! Looking at the comments just wanted to make a few general comments about them overall. First- yes our prices are higher than Walmarts, but you are NOT going to get the kind of customer service at Walmart that you are Kroger. Also, if you’re reading weekly adds and have our kroger app you can find amazing deals. Second, from where I’m from most of our kroger’s are completely brand new and do have all of the things that she mentioned in the video, so it’s a bummer to hear some people say there’s are older. Hopefully they will build new ones soon or update the older ones. Hope that helps anyone!
You must live in a good area I work at Kroger’s we do not have that kind of deli and we do not do that for our seafood but maybe it just hasn’t come to our store yet
That looks more like Super Kroger. I shopped at Kroger when I lived in Mississippi. I wish they had them here in south Florida.

You must be looking at the most expensive items they have, because Kroger's prices are very competitive to comparable stores. However, if you're used to shopping at Aldi's or even worse, at Wal-Mart, then I can see why you'd say that.
Do thou use their app? Their coupons add up (especially since you get better coupons the more you shop there) and it ends up saving more than even Wal-Mart. Seriously.
Great video! I LOVE Kroger, I just wish mine had a bakery section like yours...those cupcakes looked AMAZING! I also love discovering their clearance sections, especially when it's in their bakery section. Last week they had two grocery carts stacked to the top of clearanced bakery items. I was able to get fresh cinnamon rolls, whole loafs of onion rye bread, and Italian bread for $.99-$1.99 each. I freaked out!! lol

Where I live We have 3 Kroger stores, 2 Publix’s, and 4 Walmart’s - but I feel like I’m messing one...Two Kroger’s are marketplace Kroger’s with sushi and a sushi chef that prepares it on site. They also take custom orders.
At my Kroger you can find more rare veggies like fennel, anise, kohlrabi

I wish we had a Kroger close to me but I do ok. I go to the last *Warehouse market* in my area for most normal stuff. They even still take magic coins! *Aldi* for my Kroger type foods (they have the crispiest/sweetest gala and pink lady apples I have ever had)

I used to always get the Mediterranean Hummus and then they were out of it every time I went for months...finally they got it back it but the price also went up.
Don't know where you live but that is one awesome cheese department. I think my Kroger has dedicated maybe an 8ft. section to cheese so you can imagine it's not wonderful but it'll do in a pinch.
I use to love having the Kroger, and Safeway stores in my area, but those stores closed years ago and we ended up getting stores like Brookshire's here in Arkansas, and they just changed again last year to a cheaper brand I think is owned by Brookshire's.
Oh yes....as a single father who has raised my kids 100% on my own the past twelve years...those private selection potatoes really hit the spot.

I love Kroger too. I have tried the Private Selection Texas bbq sauce and I have the Carolina one. I can't wait to try the rest of them. Our Kroger must be smaller than the one you were filming in. Our meat/fish counter is not as big.
Kroger brand stores where I live are QFC and Fred Meyer. I love their lite mayonnaise! It is delicious and much better than the lite mayo of the big brand names! It tastes just like the full fat version!
My Kroger looks nothing like this, super jealous! It would be my favorite grocery store too if I had the variety that your does.
Not all Kroger stores carry this in there bakery but if you can find the right Kroger store try the Devil dogs, nothing gets me out of the dog house faster than when I bring the DD home for the wife.
